my work is not esoteric per se, but about ten percent of my work has that bent
to answer your question on what it portray,
it will be best to say that my work portrays consciousness,
an artistic display that makes you aware of patterns that has no physical form you can relate in your every day lives
but within you, its familiar, your mind collects, identifies and recognize the message.
you either feel it in your gut or you dont.

esoteric, yes
that's why I said am not your traditional artist,
its more an acquired taste,
its not common for me to be on the right frame of mind to do them as much as I want
I just do them, I have no grasp of the gist behind them, but when I finish I relate to the art,
and you must also admit these kind of work usually attract better returns if promoted by "esoteric" agents

semid4lyfe: Lots of books have been mentioned here but not all are intriguing enough for me to want to see on the big screen. eg Chike and the River, Eze Goes To School, The Bottled Leopard etc. All these are kid/adolescent books akin to the Enid Blytons, Famous Five, Secret Seven etc that I read while growing up and God forbid I couldn't stay thru' 15mins of them. for your information, more than 50% of Nigerian population falls into the demographics you so carelessly dismissed.
Do you know that schools take their pupils for excursions? To places like fast food outlets! It that an excursion?
But they could be taken to go watch a movie based on what are used for education - Chike and the River!!!
