After my analysis on the FG bokoharam romance, Its becoming clear that osibanjo could be the reason for the abduction.

Prior to abduction according to lai Mohammed, there was a ceasefire agreement with bokoharam.

Then osibanjo who seems not to be aware of the ceasefire agreement, said publicly that bokoharam was no longer a serious fighting force.

Bokoharam then had to abduct the girls as a sign of protesting osibanjos statement.

Then they were engaged by the FG again, and they released the Muslims and held back the Christian girl of osibanjos faith. To punish him and her for his insult on them.

This is why lai Mohammed said the abduction was a violation of their agreement with bokoharam.

From all indications, osibanjo did not know about a ceasefire. He felt the silence of bokoharam was as a result of military attack on them. This made him make such a statement.

So in their back channel meetings, they must have pleaded with bokoharam to forgive osibanjo for his misguided utterances . But decided to hold back the Christian girl as punishment.
