Why do you believe only the police and prisons should enforce laws? What exception do you make any for state agencies like Amotekun? All Sharia supporters have to do is rebrand it to Islamic Arbitration and your activities will go mostly unnoticed because nobody will care. Assuming the argument goes follow, Sharia can be implemented in any state regardless of the population. Shari’ah Is for Muslims, not for Non-Muslims. Shari’ah courts won't impose Islamic laws on non-Muslims. They exist to serve Muslims who willingly submit to them in personal and civil matters. This set of reasoning would make it no different from arbitration. As long decisions in arbitration are legally enforceable by the state, it serves the stated goal of settling personal and civil matters.

Opposing parties opt for arbitration everyday as opposed to litigation because it's faster and cheaper. The parties also have option of deciding which arbiter to settle disputes. This frees up court time for other litigation.

Many people are suspicious of the Sharia supporters. Their states goal of Sharia only being applied to Muslims is disingenuous in minds of skeptics. Why do they want government mandated Sharia courts if sharia arbitration could logically exist? The skeptics just see this naturally expanding to non Muslims and criminals law hence the opposition. If Sharia supporters want to arbitrage the personal and civil matters among themselves they should just ask their state to make arbitration decisions legally enforceable if they aren't already.
