ivolt: This is an embarrassment to say the least. What is the net contribution of those countries to ECOWAS purse, zero. So, why are they being lobbied? Exactly, the policy is so incoherent. You sanction and suspend them, then attempt to stop their exit. Are they concerned others will leave? |

Why not directly demand answers from the particular commission in charge of these remunerations to all federal employees? Interesting I will look into. This won't be a controversial FOIA. |

Politics › Re: Herders Tax Evasion Or Politics? by Blue3k(m): 7:49pm On Jul 26, 2024 |
EmeeNaka: This is the reason why they are refusing to ranch their cattle. Just curious which state does the income tax go to since they do business in multiple states. EmeeNaka: if the Ranching Bill is passed, I believe the menace of herdsmen will reduce so that many people including can comfortably go into farming and cattle rearing. The Federal government isn't going to solve the issue in my opinion. It's going to be the states whenever state policing happens. The states will enforce bans and lock up offenders in their prisons. The federal government will kick the can down the road indefinitely. |

Zulu11zulu: how many times a white woman represent south Africa but that is not the problem for it. Last year's winner was white or colored. Nobody is guaranteed Victory this a competition afterall. The sentiment being expressed here is about her ethnicity and culture. I would be speculating to say they don't want other races to compete.

It seems Miss South Africa isn't about nationality it's about ethnicity and culture. You're not a real South African unless you're part of these particular ethnic groups. They're ethno-nationalist not civic nationalist.
Chidinma appeal to peace and unity misses this point. What exactly do you want African to be united on 🤔? These are empty appeals. |

It's seems pretty doable if the vast majority of the people there are one particular ethnic group. The situation was similar in the past with other states whose petitioned to create a new State..I don't know what the demographics are there 🤔.
My advice to anyone supporting the effort should be to do polling in the area. Only include places where you get 66-70% support. Anything less than that leave them out before it throws off the margins. A 2/3 majority is a high bar to clear. |
Politics › Can ANIOMA STATE Meet Referendum Requirements? by Blue3k(op): 12:41am On Jul 21, 2024 |
1999 constitution Chapter 1 part 2 section 8-1
An Act of the National Assembly for the purpose of creating a new State shall only be passed if-
(b) a proposal for the creation of the State is thereafter approved in a referendum by at least two-thirds majority of the people of the area where the demand for creation of the State originated;
(c) the result of the referendum is then approved by a simple majority of all the States of the Federation supported by a simple majority of members of the Houses of Assembly; and
(d) the proposal is approved by a resolution passed by two-thirds majority of members of each House of the National Assembly. |

MossadAgent: And will those across the Niger be in any way part of the referendum ? Reread the comment. I told you who's apart of the referendum. It only involves the people who live in the area that seek to become a state. Read the constitution for yourself for better understanding. MossadAgent: The question we should ask is why you guys who have nothing to do with either Delta state or the proposed Anioma are the ones carrying this matter like your very existence depends on it. MossadAgent: Land thieves State creation effects every state so everyone can comment on it. If you read your constitution you would know it has to be approved by NASS and requires a referendum in the area seeking to become a state. |
