I am not satisfied with the answer I have gotten so far from this thread

Why did Mali not hold on to chelle? He's the only thing NFF has gotten correct in decades.

Who advised NFF to go for chelle? Because those guys are too dumb to recognise coaching talent when it's staring them in their face. Someone with actual working brains must have lent NFF some of his functioning brain to make that decision

There are some things I just need to understand

Observation

Cc: Kog45, Mujtahida, Thesupernerd, Thegoodjoe

I discovered that alllllllll the ex players that ended up as assistant managers to a foreign coach(let me even add the local coaches too) usually end up showing they learnt nothing from their superiors regarding the game.

I can mention almost half a dozen and none of them even went on to get a better coaching experience, job with even the cadet teams. They just fade off into oblivion, go into punditry, or like finidi, make balderdash statements about formation not being important despite seeing all under Jpes. Even in the punditry, they still act like they archaic compared to their mates of their eras. I dunno

So why waste the spot? Or is the spot on the coaching crew simply ceremonial, like for nostalgic effect on the players in camp or what?

Where is Yobo today?

What do you guys think?
Makes me think if there's something genetically wrong with them

But you have to remember that amuneke is a bit different, a bit better . Just a bit though

They took our football back and i don't think it's the NFF's fault in this case. Those guys just don't learn and improve. They are more interested in making money from sponsorhip deals with beverage or sports bet brands

It will be a really tough semifinal game cos Senegal denied Egypt wc spot that year, remember? Despite all the lasers grin
Senegal is experienced and the Egypt I saw tofay were lucky but went through because they were more eperienced than the Ivoirians

Senegal is the better team overall

I think the closest most-dominant tem we may have ever had at the AFOC in this century must be the 2000 team

And even that team was not as dominant

Kudos to Calvin Bassey & Frank Onyeka for not getting booked today. That was another win for me.

The Ndidi suspension wont hurt coz we got Onyedika. But I still dont understand why Ndidi got booked. I will know in this match replay I am currently viewing.

In case the DRC verdict doesn't go in our favour, I hope NFF are working on organising at least 2 friendlies for the team in March...

Chelle need to test this formation of his with fresh set of players, so we can be assured that if the main starters aren't available, the subs can deliver....
Trust me bro, most teams in world football want to play Nigwria to test their mettle and out c9aches would want it to test tactics

NFF would be getting a lot of friendly invitations should we dominate the Semi Finals and finals and go on to win this tournament

Akor Adams

What makes this guy special is his cool headedness

Nothing fancy

I know many strikers (even playing for big teams) that'll miss that second goal by playing it directly to the GK

Why should they miss this kind of football at WC
I think FIFA may be waiting for how AFCON turns out before making a verdict

And I'm thinking they may be based towards us now seeing that we will rep Africa better than DR Congo

The high scoreline i predicted doesn't come from hope or optimism. Those that know me know that I'm not wired that way

Its a weird feeling and sight I can't explain

Our greatest challenge in this tourney will come in the final against Senegal. Senegal will edge out whoever wins between CIV and Egypt. I'm quite sure of this

I don't see Morocco as a true test.

So, if I was to follow Logic, Algeria should edge it out Narrowly but I have a feeling I can't shake that they may be mauled today

victornoah:
Sentiment aside, if we somehow come out victorious against Algeria; am not sure we have a chance against Morocco. Those boys play Europe standard soccer. They have a very balanced Defense and Midfield. Their attack may not be as potent as ours. But you see their Defense, they're too pacy! Watch how they closed down Mbuemo in many occasions. Moroccans are very fast. I think it's the only advantage they would have against the Super Eagles. Our backline aren't pacy. Our defensive Midfielder (Ndidi, Onyedika) are both slow.

If we can match them pace for pace, spirit for spirit; then we may have a chance even with biased officiating and crowd influence.

For now, let's cancel Algeria first. I'm only wary of their Midfield and that their number 11 weh deh run like Benz.
Bro, the Morocco I watched against Cameroon are very beatable

Cameroon approached that first half with fear and negativity. They paid dearly

By the time they woke up in the second half, it was too late

My only fear is, we don't know how the team will react if it concede first.

The team haven't dealt with such situations aside the South African away game.

On twitter, the Algerians are debating our most dangerous players.

Some said Iwobi and Lookman need to be taken out, which we all know they would try to do

But when someone mentioned Ndidi and Onyeka, I became scared. It shows these guys know a lot about our team.

Shockingly, nobody mentioned Osimhen and Akor. lol!
Underestimating Osi and Akor will be their greatest undoing.

However, if they take out Iwobi, Lookman, Ndidi, and Onyeka by pressing them consistently when they have the ball Osi and Akor might become frustrated up top.

Today is going to be a long day.
Unlike our previous opponents, Algeria has the quality wingers to harm us. Just like we have the attack to hurt them.

Osimhen must find his scoring boot today. No miss chances, no offside crap.
Every single opportunity must be put away if we are going to win today.

For God and Country! God bless the Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria!
Bro, if my predictions come through today as I said

Osimhen and Lookman will be relatively quiet today and Akor Adams will be thwir greatest undoing

This is where some people say that the innit boys have watered down our team. Not in terms of footballing abilities but that I no go gree attitude which Nigerians have and which our teams have demonstrated on the pitch in many crunch matches.

Check out in 2013. Ivory coast had an array of stars. We bested them. Can these crop do the same?
The innit boys actually show more passion on the pitch. Bassey, lookman and iwobi (I hate to admit this) have shown up for us in key games

It's actually the home-guys that mess up
