jpphilips: I disagree completely, speaking of which, your ECR being shared from 2011 till date can comfortably pay for a refinery, if refining is the problem. I don't get why you guys don't look beyond this whole refining clap trap. The good news is this, the Govt need not pay a kobo in any refining investment in Nigeria. your analysis is a bit confusing, tell us the major problem in the nigeria oil sector |

chrisviral: Do you still have all your termly results from SS1 to 3, if yes, just goto a cafe and merge all of them as one PDF file bro. If you don't, then you have to disturb your school to issue you a transcript, it's like the most important part of your application for admission, without it, sorry bro, I doubt your chances of admission not to talk of the scholarship. yea, I still have the termly results. |

chrisviral: Saw your message on FB, so I should probably reply here so it benefits all. For the application, you have the option of printing it out and then filling it, you can also use an X to denote the option your selecting or you can delete the wrong option and leave the right one.
As for the Transcript, it's normally a summary of all termly report from ss1 to 3, just go to your sisters school, I know each secondary school has an archive where they keep all result, just request for a transcript, you will be given one, it's same thing as a university transcript, just that this one has secondary school subjects, grades and atimes positions too. All grade report from ss1to 3 should be on one page. my secondary said they don't issue transcript |

The reality is, most of us in this country make assumption about Nigeria that are so far from reality. Nigeria is a poor country. . With all due respect sir, you don't know what you are saying. Nuhu Ribadu-led Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force has detailed how the Nigerian government and national oil company, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, treat huge oil revenues accruing to the federation as a reserve of money that could be used for illicit purposes without accountability. In its 178-page report, obtained by PREMIUM TIMES last night, the committee revealed how oil money in the custody of the NNPC were spent on extra-budgetary purposes such as the acquisition of a N2.23billion chopper for the president and a purported sponsorship of the World Cup. In what appears a brazen misuse of public funds, the NNPC also gave out N700.5million in loan to Sao Tome & Principe based on instruction from the presidency. It also made a curious payment of N2.421billion to a foreign company, Royal Swaziland Sugar Company. The reason for the payment is unclear. The Corporation also claimed to have underwritten a N521million expenses incurred by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources. This is in addition to the N250million the agency told the committee it spent on court cases involving the ministry. The ministry has its own budgetary allocation and it is unclear why the NNPC is paying for its expenses. The nature of some of the expenses are also unclear. The committee also found that the NNPC was being used as illegal lender to presidential committees, ministries and parastatals. For instance the corporation claimed it incurred about N20billion on the Presidential Implementation Committee on Maritime Safety and Security, based on instruction from the presidency. The Ribadu committee also determined that about $1billion in signature bonuses, discrepancies in payment by the NNPC, and debts from oil companies were unaccounted for by the NNPC and the Department of Petroleum Resources. |

atlwireles: Has Nigeria stopped total from refining here? Did we stop Shell, Exxon or Chevron from refining, the question you should ask yourself, why are they are not doing it.. Chevron just completed their GTL refinery plant in Escavos, why are they not selling any of that product here? Nobody is trying to invest in a losing business, not even yourself. . Bros saudi arabia is the second largest country in the world subsidizing fuel for it citizen but still yet all this companies can invest in there refineries. |

playboy19: Dude... if you like quote the whole world, i still put it to you that you know nothing about this topic being discussed. There is nothing like a fixed global petroleum price. You only have global crude oil price. All countries set their petroleum prices accordingly. I will tell you this as i have stated it previously, 'There is nothing like subsidy in the first place. It is simply a scam'. I am in the industry and you can tell your finance minister or the petroleum minister to call me out on this. With or without government subsidy funds, you can import your petroleum products into this country and still turn profit.
At the moment, only 7 companies are granted allocations to import oil into the country on behalf of the FG and these are the ones who will share this N1 Trillion. Just 7 companies sharing N1 Trillion subsidy funds. All other companies are going to import and sell their own oil without receiving subsidy. Yet they're going to make massive profits. They were making massive profits before the increment from N65 - N95, so you can imagine the profit now, and this is them, without receiving subsidy funds. Call your connects in the oil industry (downstream) and verify this.
Moreover, all the oil imported into the country by these 7 oil companies are going to be bought from some 3 companies (Glencore, Trafigura and Vitol S.A) solely anointed by the FG. So stop feeding Nigerians with your simple and unintelligent logic or rather, some random facts from equally ill-informed journalists and get informed about what you pay for. Fuel subsidy has always been a scam, and a big scam it'll continue to be, until we all get informed and stand up to the government trying to lift it's 'fraudulent obligations' on the populace. |

What a country. Where a single citizen can build the largest refinery in africa yet the government is not rich enough to build one. The cost of dangote refinery is estimated at $9billion but still my government can't raise $9billion within the space of six years to build a single refinery. There is God oh. |
