CultureRe: Is African Culture Becoming Ghetto Culture? by Blyss: 1:32am On Jul 29, 2012
PhysicsQED: Why are you making this about me vs. him? If you think he "killed it", fine. I don't have any issues with him. But claiming that killings of gays is inherent to African cultures with no evidence (and even with evidence of some original toleration of gays provided) and something that makes all African cultures "more ghetto" than all the rest of the world even while gays are killed all the time in the West for no reason or claiming that civil wars are inherent to African cultures, or ignoring the role of America's "gun culture" in certain crimes and instead designating those crimes as "random" is ridiculous and an extremely skewed viewpoint. There wasn't much reason to try to drag this discussion out after that. I don't care who you guys think "won" or who decides to give my or Royal's comments 8 or 9 "likes" through alternate accounts. The debate was pointless because I can't re-explain my perspective more than I already have and our perspectives will never align, period.
The fact of the matter is this, many African cultures are not only ghetto or Shanty if you prefer, cheesy but they are are also corrupt, and it is for this reason that the nation in which were produced and are run by these cultures/people DON'T WORK. That's simple fact.

CultureRe: Will New Generation of Nigerian Leaders Continue The Same Culture Of Corruption? by Blyss: 12:39am On Jul 29, 2012
Princek12: It is well established that the past generation of Nigerian leaders (and the current generation) have woefully failed Nigeria. They have established a culture of corruption, mediocrity, and have set a terrible foundation upon which Nigeria's economy and government now lies. Now to the question: will the new generation Nigerians, say those who are in their early to mid-thirties, continue this same culture of corruption if they assume an elected office? Who will break this deadlock of "chopping government money without doing anything for the people?" Which generation is poised is to restructure our government and get past tribalism, mediocrity, bad governance, and reform our judiciary? Which generation will fix our electricity crisis, develop our infrastructure such as expressways, and our water system? Which generation will help to fully establish the principles of true federalism that our nation needs desperately. Please share your thoughts.
Of course they will continue, because the corruption comes from the culture of the people. Their is no culture of corruption there is corruption in the culture. Civilize your culture and the corruption will end, and or at least subside down to a point in which the nation will be able to function properly. All people obtain a bit of corruption in their culture, but not to the point in where it becomes so much so an integral part of the culture that law and order, and general federal or social function can not function properly, such as is the case in Nigeria and many other African nations. cheesy

The Culture is so far beyond Ghetto ALready ,that an adoption of any "other" culture whether real or imaginary(hip hop)

Would be deemed as an actual upgrade...that is how "ghetto" much of the culture over there already is.

For realz, when I first saw a few of your posts (before I saw your PP) I thought you were smart. Obviously, long azz epistle is not a good judge of character.

Stop with your ignorance. . . . how's nigger and nigga different? They hold the same connotation, just spelled different.
It's like calling a fat girl Phat.
Bad analogy. Fat means to be obese and sloppy, while phat means someone or something is looking good and on point. A skinny girl can look phat.

kengis: good input : I will add our powerful spirituality ,our traditional beliefs are still alive
Traditional beliefs? Oh, you mean like cutting off 7 year olds heads for rituals, eating the flesh of the people you've slaughtered and radical religion that leads to clashes and slaughter between opposing faiths on nearly a daily basis... so on and so forth backwardness? Humm, very interesting.
CultureRe: Is African Culture Becoming Ghetto Culture? by Blyss: 3:44am On Jul 27, 2012
PhysicsQED: Africans in Africa don't seriously ever call each other "nigga" besides a few of those actually living in the West, where they've adopted that from some of the locals or the media. Even among African musicians that imitate or attempt Western musical genres like rap the use of the word "nigga" is quite rare.

I once came across an image of it being used by a poor African shop keeper somewhere who tried to use the word on a sign on his store in the "cool" way that rappers in America do but instead failed terribly at it. I can't remember what country it was right now but I think it was in central Africa.
Tanzania.
