pic I posted was for advert and the Imei, I gave only one person imei and it was the imei I also got from the supplier same as picture and I gave that person because he has been on my neck for it and since that’s the only imei I got available I ought to send that to him, meaning he has been assigned his own phone

since it wasn’t just a single phone how can assign imei to people when picker hasn’t received the items, which was what I told others, wait until picker receive item once he receives them I’ll give each person their imei and their names attached to the imei so they could easily know their items once it arrives naija

Since your pull him down game(by all means) has been forthcoming since the issue came out from the group, kindly come out with the people I gave same imei too, apart from picture which was the same since phone is sealed, why do I have to send different pictures?

On the 2nd of November, @Dare0001 approached me to know if I would be interested in a deal from ForkDragnet with details of it, including a picture of the item & the seller's contact. I looked at it and felt it was a good deal so decided to go for it.

Before now, I have never done any business with ForkDragnet. I went to his DM to confirm the deal. It was a sealed Pro Max 64GB network locked for N270,000. I asked for his account details and made payment.

After a while, I decided to share the transaction with someone who said he also got the same deal from him. And that was when we knew something wasn't right.

I went back to ask for the IMEI number of the deal and he said "The picker was yet to pick the items because the supplier hasn't arrived at the agreed venue yet" and that I should chill. According to him, the phones were many and that, he would work with the picker to assign IMEI numbers to each buyer.

Day one past, no word from him. I went to his DM to ask for update and he re-echoed the same thing. "The supplier is yet to delivery" Day two at night, I got a chat from him that, he was scammed by his friend from 9ja and the said supplier. Well, I asked him a few questions, but the answers weren't convincing. He then asked for my account details for a refund. Immediately, I got an alert of 200k. He promised to send the balance before dawn, but I woke up and got 20k extra. I asked for the balance of 50k and he said "there is no cash from anywhere atm and that he is still trying to gather funds to pay back" However, he promised to pay up the following day which was 5th November. The day past and I didn't get any alert.

I have asked for a time frame on when I will get the balance, but he has refused to put any time frame to it. Although, he promised to work on it and pay once any cash comes in. I understood and agreed to give him time to sort things out.

On the 6th, I got an alert of 10k. Got another of 20k on 17th. The balance remaining is 20k. I chatted up with him and he promised to work on it as usual. However, we just found out yesterday that he has deactivated his WhatsApp.

While most of what you've said is factual & resonates with me too as It's coming from a good place, you also have to understand that "a platform is a platform." It is one thing to argue that we should preserve this place & continue to do business here 100% & nowhere else for the sake of nolstagia & the fact that we all started our journey here which I totally understand.

However, once we set emotions aside, can we prove that doing business here -- and nowhere else, like certain whatsapp groups for example -- is better & safer? If yes, then maybe we should allow evidence & fact speak for itself.

For example, most of us still do not even know why the dispute resolution thread was closed in the first place? Doesn't closing a tool that serves to protect the purity & safety of this community to a very large extent sends a strong signal the we ---- sellers & buyers whose life savings is being put at stake here daily-- are not in control at all or even have a say? Is that not a red flag?

The whatsapp group(s), atleast the one I know of, which aspersions have been cast on, I guarantee you is 100% safer for doing business, as every member goes through a rigorous vetting process which includes submission of sensitive, full-proof personal information that can be used to locate & track in the event of any misdoings.

It is unlike here where unremorseful ticking time bombs, who should cover thier heads in shame for trying to fleece innocent buyers, will come and give half-assed apologies while making it clear that this is an "anonymous forum", e no too pain them, then garnish it with a semi ffffuck-off in the air.

Oga Wildchild, thank you for always being a beacon of justice & authority of hope in this community, however some of us have also been taking notes of some things & strongly believe a plan B is not bad at all. It doesn't mean we have gone stray from our roots, we just want to have a backup plan, citing some red flags.

Like a said from the beginning, a platform is a platform. For one to be rubbished, the other must be proven to be better, in this case-- safer. And no platform is infallible. I'm sure you remember the period when NL crashed & cashed a catastrophic, painful loss of data & valuable information. A plan B is never a bad idea. And the existence of one should not catalyze the demise of the other. I dare say both can even complement eachother for more efficiency & robustness.

Until strong measures are taken to show everyone that this place is safer, expect people to continue to decentralize into whatsapp groups, which as I have said(using one as an example), has a strong vetting process that makes it much more safer sef, & the stakeholders all have full & equal control, & say. Not one where you wake-up one morning to see that the powers-that-be have erased your entire history, your Creation, or whatever it is they choose this time, without any dialogue , just cause they can or doesn't fit thier ideology.

It is very pertinent that as a businessman, woman, lesbian or gay, you own a stake, have a say, and some level of control too, especially in a venture where you stake & risk your life savings/ investments daily. It is suicidal to be happy to remain a tenant who dances to the horsewhip of his landlord.
