Let me ask you, is my governor the reason naira is exchanging at almost 1,700 to a dollar, is my governor the reason electricity tariffs have been increased by over 200 percent, is my governor the reason we are buying a liter of pms at over #1,200 per liter from #187 per liter with its attendant scarcity leading to an over 500% increase in transportation cost, high cost of food, high inflation rate, high production cost, businessess closing down, job losses etc You are doing well in trying to defend the worst regime in the history of this country |

Under Goodluck Jonathan, Fuel was so expensive at #97 per liter. Even the APC acknowledged this and opined that Fuel shouldn't cost more than #70 per liter. Even when the Goodluck Jonathan government reduced it to #87 per liter, the APC described it as a mere tokenism and still maintain that Fuel shouldn't cost more than #70 per liter Today, under the APC government, fuel is way cheaper at more than #1,200 per liter

leokid866: it seems like you don't know the difference between billion and trillion that's why you are talking like this....1 billion seconds is just 31.8 years.....1 trillion seconds is 31,688 years....thats the type of difference between a billion and trillion .....put that in context of how much FAAC is sharing now and youll understand even with the high value of dollar states are far well off than they were last year...so instead of facing Tinubu asking where the money is call your governorand ask him what they are doing with their increased FAAC...at least on the FG side we can see them managing our debts better and taking steps to strengthen the economy......in fact the government decided to share only about 1.3 Trillion of the 2 trillion they earn monthly and save the rest cause when you flush that kind of money into the system all at once you drive up inflation....... This gaslighting will never work Trying to absolve Tinubu from the calamity that have befallen this country since he was sworn in as president will never work. Tinubu is the reason why we are in this mess currently. The bulk stops on his table This country and it's citizens never witnessed this kind of hunger, strife and starvation in its history |

Politics › Edo Guber: APC Chieftain, Agbaje, Defects To PDP by Bobloco(op): 7:06am On Sep 06, 2024 |
Seventeen days to the September 21, 2024, governorship election in Edo State, political horse-trading continues to dominate the electioneering as a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a lawmaker that represented Akoko-Edo II from 2015 to 2023, Emmanuel Agbaje, resigned his membership of the party. In a letter to his Ward 10 chairman in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, dated September 2nd 2024, Agbaje complained of alienation and alleged sidelining in the scheme of the things in the party and his Ward 10. The ex-lawmaker therefore joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Agbaje’s resignation letter reads in part: “This decision has not been taken lightly but after careful consideration and consultation with my support base and leaders. I believe it is the best course of action for me at this time. “Since democracy provides for choices, I am entitled to review my involvement and seek alignment that recognises loyalty, dedication, and sacrifices. I can no longer accept the deliberate alienation and the sidelining of core Party faithful and leaders, particularly from our ward. “As a founding member of the Party, it is a difficult decision considering the relationships built within the Party over the years as well as the feelings of good friends who may choose to remain. My assurances are that our friendship and relationships remain protected and insulated. Life outside politics is larger. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your leadership and support during my time in the Party. I have valued our working relationship and the shared commitment we have had to the ideals of the APC. I look forward to a continuous, robust relationship that benefits our people and communities.” Agbaje was the only APC lawmaker in the State House of Assembly besides the 14 that were not inaugurated in 2019 that did not defect with Governor Godwin Obaseki from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2020 governorship election. That decision, it was gathered, led to the withholding of all his entitlements, apart from the monthly salary, till the end of his tenure in 2013. Another of his grievances with the APC was that he was not consulted when the APC Government Campaign Council was constituted, as members who were still in the PDP in his ward were made members of the Council. https://tribuneonlineng.com/edo-guber-apc-chieftain-agbaje-defects-to-pdp/ |

slimfit1: Instead for it to go back to the North we will separate the country very simple. They can have the country and the name Nigeria as long as Yoruba people are not with them it's ok. Who are the 'we'? You didn't make this threat when Tinubu collaborated with his northern allies to truncate an opportunity for the south, under the Goodluck Jonathan regime to have an unbroken eight year tenure. Then, it was okay for power to return to the north instead of Goodluck Jonathan winning his second tenure which would have ensured that Nigeria never witnessed this calamitous Tinubu regime in it's history. |

Sports › Winning Euros With Portugal Is 'equivalent To A World Cup' - Cristiano Ronaldo by Bobloco(op): 1:00am On Sep 06, 2024 |
With his 900th career goal, Cristiano Ronaldo got the best of Luka Modrić in the duel of veterans in the Nations League on Thursday.
The 39-year-old Ronaldo became the first man to reach the 900-goal milestone in official matches for club and country by scoring in Portugal's 2-1 win over Modric's Croatia.
"It means a lot," Ronaldo said. "It was a milestone I wanted to reach for a long time. I knew I would reach this number, because as I continue to play, it would happen naturally."
Ronaldo found the net in the 34th minute at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon to put Portugal up 2-1. He put his hands to his head and dropped to his knees during the celebration.
"It was emotional because it's a milestone," he said. "It seems like any other milestone, but only I know, and the people around me, how hard it is to work every day, to be physically and psychologically fit, to score 900 goals. It's a unique milestone in my career."
It was Ronaldo's 131st international career goal.
He was coming off a disappointing performance at the European Championship, when he went scoreless in all five of Portugal's games before it was eliminated in a penalty shootout by France in the quarterfinals. Ronaldo could try to play into his 40s and join Portugal for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but he said Thursday that it's not a priority for him.
"Portugal winning Euros is equivalent to winning a World Cup," Ronaldo said. "I've already won two trophies for Portugal that I really wanted. I'm not motivated by that. I'm motivated by enjoying football and the records come naturally."
Ronaldo's career rival, Lionel Messi, won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022.
