This excuses is unacceptable coming from the Chief of Defense, you shouldn't take any other information from any source above the ones given to you by the DSS, they had been at the nooks and crannies gathering information for weeks. Some of the local sources might be sympathetic to these attackers, and truly , at the end of the day, you were fooled by the so called " fake attack".

The question is: does Tinubu have the balls to make sure heads roll over this operational gap?
Of course, your guess is as good as mine, he doesn't.

At this rate, we will be operating the 2025 budget in the year 2027.

Tinubu has successfully reduced governance to a caricature, haphazardly.

So this is how he built Lagos from scratch?

No wonder he left behind a legacy of thugs, agberos, and hoodlums.

SoftSport:
You people complain a lot.

Let’s be real, sending birthday wishes doesn’t mean endorsing wrongdoing; it’s just basic civility, and due process still has to run its course.
Civility without conscience is cowardice.

When the President sends birthday greetings to Yahaya Bello a man wanted by the EFCC for diverting, looting, embezzling over ₦80 billion belonging to the people of Kogi State, it’s not “basic civility.” It’s a political dog whistle. You don’t send well-wishes to fugitives unless you’re signaling that impunity is alive and well.

Let’s not pretend this is harmless. The same Yahaya Bello wanted by the EFCC, whose chairman publicly vowed to resign if Bello isn't prosecuted was enlisted as a witness by the Tinubu-led APC government, not to answer for his crimes, but to testify against Natasha Akpoti in a case brought by the same government in favour of Senator Akpabio.

That’s not due process. That’s due protection.

So yes, we’ll complain. Because the system protects the looters. The Tinubu-led APC government isn’t just enabling corruption it is corruption, personified.

But Onanuga doesn’t blame Tinubu for increasing fuel pump prices, which led to skyrocketing transportation costs and a soaring inflation rate. He doesn’t blame him for the devaluation of the Naira instead, he calls it economic reforms. He also doesn’t hold him accountable for the hike in customs tariffs, call and data charges, electricity tariffs, or the dubious Band A to Z classifications. Yet, all of these happened under Tinubu’s watch
PoliticsRe: Reno: Peter Obi's Reaction To The Yelewata And The Non-missing NNPC ₦210TR by Bobloco:
Reno Omokri, the rabble rouser, the unofficial Minister of Misinformation, the chief propagandist for the Tinubu camp, now a full-time àshàwó koko kobo , has once again twisted a national tragedy into a cheap PR stunt for his political paymaster.

If there's any witchcraft here, it’s the unholy spell cast over some minds that makes honest criticism of government failure look like "gleeful politicising." Tragedy struck in Benue. Peter Obi spoke out. That's what responsible opposition leaders do worldwide speak truth to power.

But in Reno’s world, it is leadership for a president to go to Benue state, turned the visit into a campaign festival, refused to go to yeltawa, the epicenter of the violence, and anyone who objects is suddenly a “bloodsucking witch.” So what do we call those defending failure while Nigerians bleed? Angelic silence?

This same Reno Omokri once called Tinubu a known drûg lórd, challenged him to sue if it wasn’t true, termed him unfit to occupy the office of the president of Nigeria and suddenly, today, he’s here hailing Tinubu’s questionable “First-Class” in Accounting when it is widely known that Tinubu fraudulently claimed to graduate from a school four years before it was founded?

Meanwhile, Peter Obi’s degree from UNN is verifiable, authentic, and scandal-free. We can’t say the same for Tinubu’s dusty dossier full of aliases, forged certificates, and Chicago confusion.

As for the ₦210 trillion, Obi raised valid concerns just as the Senate did. If lawmakers are demanding answers, it is natural and necessary for the opposition to do the same. That’s not ignorance, that’s what accountability looks like. But in the Tinubu camp, “accountability” is apparently as foreign as good governance.

Reno claims Obi offers no solutions. Did he sleep through the entire campaign season? Peter Obi proposed state policing, restructuring, economic reforms, and production-driven growth. But when you block your ears with propaganda, truth sounds like static.

So before you call Peter Obi a witch, ask yourself Who’s really casting spells to keep Nigeria blind, broke, and bleeding?

PoliticsUmahi Orders Repairs On Lafia-Makurdi Road After Tinubu’s Aborted Yelwata Visit by Bobloco(op): 11:01pm On Jun 20, 2025
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has ordered the immediate deployment of ministry officials and engineers from China Harbour Operations and Maintenance Company to restore and find a lasting solution to persistent flooding on the Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi road, after torrential rains disrupted traffic and forced President Bola Tinubu to cancel his visit to Yelwata, Benue State.

The President was expected in the town on Wednesday to sympathise with grieving residents following the killing of over 100 persons, but his convoy was halted by a flood that rendered the road impassable.

Umahi, who described the incident as “embarrassing,” blamed the private concessionaire in charge of the tolled road under the Highway Development and Management Initiative for failing to maintain the carriageway, despite collecting revenue.

“We have got information on the unfortunate flooding of a section of Keffi-Makurdi road, which is under HDMI, that is, a PPP with China Harbour. We know that the project has been completed and it is tolled, but unfortunately, yesterday there was a lot of debris that covered an existing culvert, and that led to flooding.

“We apologise very profusely to Mr President and Nigerians for the embarrassment this unfortunate incident caused. The Keffi-Makurdi road is a Public-Private Partnership with China Harbour under the HDMI initiative. Though completed and tolled, flooding occurred due to debris blocking the culvert.”

“In the midst of the rain, we deployed our officials and the concessionaire’s personnel who evacuated the debris, allowing floodwaters to drain. That section of the road has now been reinstated”, he said in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Orji Uchenna on Friday.

The minister further directed the company to investigate the cause of the flooding and implement a permanent fix to prevent future disruptions, stressing that such lapses would no longer be tolerated on federal roads maintained by private operators.

Umahi also commended Tinubu’s fatherly concern and leadership over the Benue killings, describing his attempted visit as “a powerful gesture that resonated with the people.”

“We also commend Mr President very highly for his fatherly role in Benue State. His visit there has made a lot of impact in the lives of the people and everyone living in that place,” he said. “With God on his side, Benue people shall see sustainable peace and progress.”

Tinubu, in his remarks during his visit to the state, acknowledged the disruption. “I aborted my visit to Yelwata town because of the rain, flood and bad roads,” he said. “But we will do something for the recreation of that environment.”

Meanwhile, the minister used the opportunity to push for infrastructure financing partnerships, appealing to Citibank Nigeria Ltd to support key federal road projects under the Renewed Hope Legacy Initiative.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Nneka Enwereji, Umahi said, “We are happy that Citibank is considering partnering with us on the Renewed Hope Legacy Projects. These critical road infrastructures are central to President Tinubu’s vision for national development, and your support will go a long way.”

The Citibank chief pledged support, praising the administration’s bold reforms and commitment to infrastructure.

“We are very impressed with the big strides your administration is making. We are here to understand the specifics and explore how we can invest in projects that would make a positive impact on the country”, Enwereji said

Members

Members of the anti-Tinubu coalition include: Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; ex-Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi; his Kaduna State counterpart, Nasir El-Rufai; the convener of the League of Northern Democrats, Dr. Umar Ardo, and a host of others.

The group had considered joining an existing political party which saw the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and the Social Democratic Party, SDP, jostling to out do each other to be considered.

However, several members of the coalition expressed concerns over the internal wrangling within existing parties, which in some cases had led to litigations.

The coalition subsequently set up a committee to also consider the option of registering a completely new platform where all members will start on equal footing in terms of membership.

The committee, which was headed by former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi submitted its report about a week ago with a recommendation in favour of registering a new party

PoliticsTinubu, AGF, NASS Dragged To Court Over Appointment Of Rivers Electoral Officers by Bobloco(op): 3:16pm On Jun 20, 2025
An Abuja based advocacy group, Center for Reform and Public Advocacy has dragged President Bola Tinubu, Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the National Assembly before the Federal High Court in Abuja, challenging their powers to appoint officers for the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).

The civil rights group, in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CR /1196/2025, is praying the court to set aside the purported nominations done by the President and the approval by the Senate on the grounds that they lacked constitutional powers to appoint officials for the state electoral body.

According to the group in the suit filed on its behalf by an Abuja based lawyer, Mr Kalu Kalu Agu, only the Governor of Rivers State is constitutionally empowered to appoint chairman and members for the RSIEC.

In their originating Summons, the plaintiff prayed the court to determine whether by virtue of the combined effects of Sections 11(4), 197, 198, 199 and 201, of the 1999 Constitution, President Tinubu has powers to seek approval of the Senate to constitute an electoral committee for Rivers State.

Upon the determination of the constitutional provisions in the affirmative, the rights group wants the court to expressly declare that it is the exclusive preserve of the Governor of Rivers State and not any President, to appoint and remove a chairman and six members of the state electoral committee.

The body also asked the court to declare that Tinubu lacked the power to seek approval of the National Assembly for the appointment of a chairman and members for RSIEC and that the Senate also lacked powers to accept any nomination from the President for the purpose of constituting electoral committee for Rivers State.

Besides, the group applied for an order of the court setting aside the list of nominees for the chairmanship and membership of RSIEC sent to the Senate by Tinubu for being unconstitutional, null and void.

They also sought an order of perpetual injunction restraining the AGF, the President and the National Assembly from taking part in any proceeding for the appointment and approval of nominees for RSIEC.

Besides, the group wants the resolution of the Senate approving Tinubu’s nominees for RSIEC to be set aside on the ground of illegality.

In a 30-paragraph affidavit in support of the originating summons, the advocacy group claimed to be a non-profit, pro-democracy, human rights, anti-corruption and public interest advocacy organization registered in Nigeria.

It claimed that on March 18, 2025, Tinubu on the advice of the AGF declared a state of emergency in Rivers State and that the emergency led to the removal of the lawfully elected governor.

The affidavit deposed to by one Emmanuella Alisi said that as a follow up to the alleged unlawful emergency rule, President Tinubu, acting on the advice of the AGF, sent a list of nominees to the Senate to be confirmed we members of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission

He said that the plaintiff quickly wrote to the AGF and Senate President to halt the process of approving the said nominees on the ground of illegality.

The affidavit said that the Rivers governor had dully constituted the Electoral Commission that has been discharging its statutory functions among which was the conduct of local government election for the state on October 5, 2024.

Besides, the affidavit said that the tenure of the Electoral Commission legally constituted by the governor has not expired and as such cannot be unlawfully removed or dissolved especially when members have not resigned.

The affidavit said that since the defendants took oath to protect the country’s Constitution as the Supreme Law, the court should compel them to uphold the provisions of the Constitution in the interest of justice.

Apart from the AGF, Tinubu and the National Assembly, the other defendants are Governor of Rivers, Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission and Justice Adolphus Enebeli, Chairman of RSIEC.

Meanwhile, no date has been fixed for hearing of the suit.

PoliticsRe: Your Excuse Of Bad Road Untenable –adebayo Slams Tinubu For Not Visiting Yelwata by Bobloco(op): 3:08pm On Jun 20, 2025
SoftSport:
Showing up in the face of tough conditions isn’t just symbolic, it’s leadership in action, and while it’s easy to criticize from the sidelines, Tinubu made the effort when many wouldn’t even try.
Leadership isn't about flying in for photo ops while avoiding the actual crisis point. If Tinubu really came to stand with the people of Benue, he would’ve gone to Yelwata, the heart of the pain, the epicenter. Skipping ground zero but calling it ‘leadership’ is just selective concern dressed as bravery
PoliticsRe: Your Excuse Of Bad Road Untenable –adebayo Slams Tinubu For Not Visiting Yelwata by Bobloco(op): 2:31pm On Jun 20, 2025

let's not forget that Tinubu still made the effort to visit despite the challenges. The fact that he went even with the tough conditions shows his dedication to addressing the issue, it's easy to criticize, but not everyone would have made the same effort.
Visiting Benue without going to the epicenter of the violence is like showing up to a fire and staying far from the flames because the road is rough. True leadership means showing up where it matters most, not just where it’s comfortable. In moments of crisis, people don’t need symbolic visits they need presence, empathy, and accountability. Sadly, this administration continues to show that when it comes to real leadership, it falls devastatingly short.

The Tinubu government is has proven to be the most irresponsible in our nation’s history
PoliticsYour Excuse Of Bad Road Untenable –adebayo Slams Tinubu For Not Visiting Yelwata by Bobloco(op): 1:51pm On Jun 20, 2025
Social Democratic Party, SDP, presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Adewole Adebayo, has blasted President Bola Tinubu for not visiting Yelwata town in Benue State where over 200 persons were killed by suspected herdsmen.

Adebayo made this statement on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Friday.

DAILY POST reports that Tinubu visited Benue on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to commiserate with the people of the state over the killings of residents by suspected killer herdsmen.

According to Adebayo, the President’s excuse was not tenable, adding that he should have made sure that come rain, come shine, he got to the venue of the attack, Yelwata.

“He cannot say as commander-in-chief, there is a part of the country that is unreachable by you. People are living there,” Adebayo said.

The SDP chieftain also said the President’s visit was politicised and that the number one citizen should have been more empathetic to the plight of the people.

He said, “Going to a place of mourning that even during the Nigerian civil war, it would be newsworthy if there were 200 lives lost at one time.

“So, such a place is a somber occasion and he is in charge of all the people who followed him there.

“But what do you get there? It was like another political rally. That sombreness was not there.

“The president should have gone there as a chief mourner and his language should have been somber and his language should have been better controlled.”
