I'm sorry, I don't get that. Can you explain better? Everytime I load the lolipop, my phone comes on but it does not get past the XUI screen. But if i load the kitkat it doesn't come on at all.

Then I think ur KitKat ROM is corrupt

Download a fresh one from infinix website

Make sure ur data connection is stable

There is no way ur lollipop will be OK if the KitKat u r upgrading from is faulty

I'm not certain. Downloaded it (the kitkat) from the site i saw the tutorial.


However, I downloaded the lolipop rom from the infinix app of my phone.

U knw u will first flash the kitkat, put it on then switch it off, connect the phone, load the lolipop rom, dont format just click on upgrade

Click on format on sp flashtool then connect ur phone to the usb

My Infinix X551 (Hot Note 2gg+16) has been giving me all sorts of trouble in recent times so I decided to update to lolipop since it was on Kitkat (I've not been able to take it to the calcare centre). So I decided to do it myself and went online and saw some tutorials which I followed. Everything was peachy... or so I thought. I've been on the XUI screen for the past 3 hours and counting (though the tutorial said it will take some time to load) but is this normal? Hope I have not entered 2 chance?

Launch play store and goto settings
Untick "auto update apps"

The upgrading just means some apps are being configured
But it shouldn't happen every time u turn Ur phone on, normally happens wen u download a ROM update or some new apps

Since December 2015 till now, my phone's data and wireless connection is permanently on. Each time I switch it off, it will switch on again immediately by itself. The only thing I do is to put my phone on flight mode, if not my battery will run down within a short time. I hardly receive calls because of this wahala. Please what do I do?

If probs persist, flash the phone

Its flashing that is the fastest solution for that tab

U can do the following tho
If the battery is detachable then remove it and re insert it

If it's not, press the volume up and down button together with the power button together for like 10 to 20 secs, the tab should restart after that

Or u can just unplug the tab and leave it to be showing the erasing till the battery dies off then plug it and let it charge a bit then try putting it on

If all these doesn't work, then go flash it
