Why are you here wailing over that. What populace in Lagos are complaining or does your Igbo father consistitute Lagos populace ? Should that be the case vote against Tinubu n stop ranting like a lunatic on NL.

Get your fact and human reasoning well.
The issue I personally have with them all is the method of collecting money from their victims which involves intimidation, extortion and harassment.
You are talking as if Igbos are supporting the faction fighting MC,as if that faction is headed by Igbo man!!!
The concerns here is that no reasonable mega city will result to the use of touts and agberos to extort people and still claim they are pacesetter.
Lagos government should organize them well,be it the new formed PMC or nurtw to be sensible and responsible, free of extortion and criminal elements.
You don't really knw the level craze this people display daily in the road and it's responsible people that bears the brunts.

Why are Nurtw quoting Military Decrees when Nigeria left military Govt over 21 years ago

Once the State Assembly ratifies the Parks Committee announced by the Governor that is the end of the Story

Can they do it and remove the elements of extortion and harassment from the roads.if YES then it's will be remembered as one of the best mass humanity policy they have taking so far.
If you don't leave in Lagos, you won't understand why this hate for Tinubu regarding his backing and expanding Agberos in Lagos.

Make e sha no piss for body as usual grin

My problem with him is his arrogant in doing and siding evil in his conquered territory(empire)
Every state where Agbero has been a problem and an avenue for extortion from the masses in the transport business has made an overwhelming efforts in curtailing or outrightly banning and sustaining the ban on touting and extortion, but here in Lagos the reverse is the case, the more the outcry from drivers and operators the more Tinubu and Lagos government gives them more backing and support system.
No Champion forever! He should be a human for once!

Imposition of park mgt is
unconstitutional —NURTW

By Omeiza Ajayi

ABUJA—NATIONAL
Union of Road Transport
Workers, NURTW, yesterday,
faulted the setting up of Park
Management Committees by
state governments in the
management of motor parks
across the country, describing it
as unconstitutional.
In a statement, the National
President of the union, Bikunle
Baruwa, said the initiative was
not in tandem with the
promulgation of Decrees Number
21 and 22, as a trade union in
Nigeria having affiliation with the
Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
Baruwa said: "Imposition of park
management is unconstitutional.
The union is among the 42 trade
unions formed as a creation of
the Decree. A letter issued on
August 15th, 1978 was
communicated to the secretariat
of the 'Union' as a Trade union
with number 00054.
"With this development, park
management is not known to any
law establishing the union,
rather is meant to encourage a
reign of terror."
Speaking on the crisis rocking
its Lagos branch, the NURTW
boss said the situation in the
Lagos State Council leading to
the National Administration
Council’s decision to suspend Mr
Musiliu Akinsanya was meant to
instil discipline among the
members of the Union.
He said: "The overwhelming
Lagosians, who viewed Musliu
Akinsanya as a political agent,
were happy at the decision of the
National Administrative Council
of the Union at the Abuja
headquarters.”

Drivers have the right to prevent or dodge an approaching accident, reason why they are not at fault for using emergency braking and stopping abruptly in attempt to avoid collision or jam.Reason why nobody has right to jam another vehicle from behind no matter how sharply he braked!
If you are inside the car and was effected, he isn't supposed to be punished or reported but he should pacify you and show remorse as it was emergency situation.
Denis08:
I had an incident on public transportation. The driver braked sharply when he saw a child running out onto the road, and I couldn't hold on and fell, breaking my nose. I was very upset by this incident and wanted to get moral and physical compensation. But I was refused in all instances. My friend advised me to go to a bus passenger injury claim, who could help me settle the matter. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I think he wasn't pushed hastily aside without warning. They mentioned that he had been warn and queried for sometimes before now!
Lagos can't hand him any request he made so easily now because Lagos was benefiting from this Agbero menace being attached to a national body and cover which helps to shield them from public backlash.
If Lagos should toe the part of banning Agbero to institute a new body, good and fine but I foresee a shift and bigger challenge if they rush to create unplanned tout group!
Elporo:

The entire NURTW has pulled out; no questions asked.

Let this be a lesson to Nigerians; just because you do not like an individual , that does not mean he is incompetent.

Oluomo is in firm grip of the Lagos Caucus. Only a fool would expect otherwise

The national Union was way ahead of him.
He didn't actualized his plan before he was suspended. Lagos state can't grant him that immediate order he needs now because everything is in the public eyes and scrutiny as of now.

Then there is need to educate Nigerians about this notion.
Even insurance company goes mute a lot about what their services covers.
9icetoo:

The road traffic act mandates all vehicles to have third party insurance.

Third party insurance takes care of issues like this to a certain amount depending on your insurance provider.

This question would be mute if she has third party insurance and not even be a topic for discussion if she has comprehensive insurance .
She should contact her insurance company and not subject the owner of the other car to undue stress.

Maybe there was no insurance then because I can see from the woman's reaction that the damage cost will be on her head alone!
oneman11:

If the perpetrator have an insurance cover, then her insurance company will be liable for the damage
Car Talk / Re: A Break Failure Accident And The Best Way To Judge The Case At Onikan Lagos by BobPRESS5(m): 8:49am On Mar 09, 2022
This is Nigeria!
The argument and excuse people do give when accident happens doesn't give room for this your assertion!
I pray we get to this your level of reasoning and understanding one day!
fabienjoe:

Your insurance company would not repair damage not caused by you. The person at fault, intentionally or not should do the repairs. Ideally his or her insurance company would carry out the repairs. The first step in an accident is for the two parties to exchange insurance details. The premium usually increases after such repairs. It goes into a database so that even if the person decides to change insurer, the history would still be accessed and a higher premium still applies. But here, most drivers have fake insurance and so negotiate an out of pocket payment in the event of an accident. No road user has the right to impose costs, injuries or inconveniences on others.

To go meet your insurance company or hold the the perpetrator to repair your car?

You are very well on point! But Nigerians don't have these orientation and easily see a person demanding for damages as a wicked soul oo.I have been a victim before!
And many people have coughed out huge amount to repair a fault or damage caused by another to their vehicle.
SUPERPACK:
The minute you buy or drive a car, bicycle or bike you are liable for any loss, damage or loss of life caused by it. Every car owner is tasked to ensure all parts of his car is in good condition before driving such. Some accidents are also beyond the power of maintenance culture and being careful, in such a case reason and negotiation would come to rescue.

You can't claim partial damage when you slept off and had a crash, nor when your brake was last serviced 3 years before the crash.

In all cases the affected party has the upper hand and has the right to demand for compensation be it full or partial.
