Be grateful to God for the one you have as you strive for something better. A lot of Nigerians would literally kill to have your 130k 9-5 job
I knew someone would come here and say this. This is our problem as nigerians, we usually settle for less and its the reason we keep been exploited with the midset that "if they want to go let them go, there are people out there that will kill to get this 30k job". Our mentality as nigerians is so messed up. You're earning $165 monthly snd you're comfortable?

But it's getting scary coz it's happening almost everytime to the extent that I begin to think, am I a ghost? Abi I don die and I no know...abi I don mistakenly chop jazz I'm not aware of?

Politics / Re: Easemoni Loan by Bodeem: 10:13am On Jul 15, 2023
@ MrFollowFollow I also experienced same .

I borrowed on the 25th lf April and the loan was a month tenor with easemoni. On the 24th of May, they were already disturbing me threatening fire and brimstone. I contemplated borrowing from another loan app just to pay them but from my little knowledge of economics, its a trap. Taking a loan to repay another loan is the begining of your troubles. Then on the 25th the next day I decided that i borrowed money from a friend instead just to pay these guys. It was with the hopes that after paying up, then I can re-borrow a lesser amount that will last me till when salary arrives on the 30th or there abouts. I was disappointed when my loan was declined. Now think of what ran through my mind, definitely if I had known I shouldn't have paid on time and hold on till month end.

MrFollowFollow:

So you think the people who manage these loan providers are fools?

The reason why some of these people rush to pay up is so they can win the trust of the loan company so that they can borrow a larger amount of money at their next attempt.

If the loan provider is foolish and gives them a larger amount that is when the stupid borrower will now show his true colour by defaulting repeatedly

Okay.

If this is your point then I don't blame people for borrowing and refusing to pay. It is justified. Someone had an emergency cash with him, loan is also due next day. In order to maintain a good credit score and avoid embarrassing calls and messages, he used the emergency cash to pay up the loan so he could borrow again. That way, he has bought more time and also, he used a stone to kill two birds.
After paying up, he tried borrowing and they declined. Now think of it, won't he be regretting that if he had known, he wouldn't have paid the money?

Same scenario happens with people who have been owing these loan apps for long. It's not that they don't want to pay, they must have defaulted intially because they had little and now that they manage to raise some change, they know that if pay up with all the accumulated interest, the laon app won't borrow them again. So instead of losing on two sides let them kuku keep their money. These loan apps are the onese doing themselves.

Easemoni and okash, once you borrow from them and pay up even before due date, they will just suddenly stop borrowing . Many people complain about this tactics of theirs.

I borrowed money from okash last month. About a day before the due date of the loan , small change entered my account and I was like let me just use the mo ey to pay up my okash loan so that they won't disturb me . Then I can borrow again. That way I will use one stone to kill two birds. My dear friends I paid up the okash loan and when I tried borrowing again , they declined. I nearly ran mad coz that was my last cash. I was like if I had known I wouldn't have paid them self. I went to their Facebook page and discovered many people complaining about such tactics of theirs. Just ridiculous

Stop putting hope in those kinda things bro. Many people will just overlook it and not inform you. You can't be so sure they've stopped calling your contacts.

This is not true, the moment you give them access to your contacts,it is saved on their database, so even if you delete the app it doesn't matter.
Not all of them. Infact I think with the new Google regulations on loan apps, they no longer have the ability to save numbers on their data base.

I got some ridiculous texts concerning a friend that borrowed from one of these loan apps. He claimed he doesn't know the particular one that sent the defaming message as he had borrowed from multiple apps. One of them including easemoni.

Does easemoni message or call contacts of defaulters?

I remember running home after 3 o'clock closing hour so as not to miss my favorite cartoons on TV

There was nothing like satellite TV which meant we watched more contents on local TV. You go to school the following day to gist with friends about the episodes.

Christmas was much fun, we visited friends and families on Christmas day and eat to your satisfaction

There was nothing like phone so whenever my dad goes to work , I stay outside all night till he comes back. Make I no lie anytime its getting so late around 10pm and he's not back I start thinking of bad things like he was kidnapped or had an accident grin. The more it gets late, the more i get worried and when i finally see his peageot 504 headlamp shining from afar, there js this relief thay engolfs me instantly.grin. May his gentle soul rest in peace, he passed on last year.

Teachers and parents beat the hell out of you, they were more ruthless than what we have now.

Our soldiers (army) back then used to be very skinny infact na khaki dey wear them no be them dey wear khaki but the fear they commanded back then is far more than what we have today.

Oh did I forget Mr biggs toilets? When you enter Mr biggs toilet, you find phone numbers painted on the wall. They obviously belong to people looking for love.

once they message ur contact u will know, at least one of ur contacts should be kind enough to tell u...

I've been owning them for 3 months now... A friend only told me that I should always pick thier calls and beg for my time, and once in a while no matter how little I should try and pay something..

That they only send those messages once u are not responding to thier calls...
If this is the app you are talking about then I'm sorry, they message contacts. Your friends decided not to just tell you.

Easemoni message contacts too but not in a defaming way. They also call your contacts that you're owing them money and they should tell you to pay up.
