FamilyHelp! I Am Being Physically Abused By My Wife! What Will I Do? by bokom(op): 2:55pm On Feb 28, 2015
Hello Guys

My name is UD (not real name), a Nigerian and i am married to European who is 10 years older than me. We met in Europe but got married in Lagos.

Well, after our marriage, we always have family issues and fights like every other couple, but the problem i am having with my wife is that any time we are having our small misunderstanding, she always gets physical.. Initially, its just a small slap to my face and some nail scratching on my body here and there. And when this started in Europe, i will always try to walk away or hold her hands to calm her down, but seems the more i take the beatings, the more courage and bold she becomes in always hitting me during an argument or small misunderstanding with her.

Recently, we both came back to Nigeria for a business we brought down from Europe, and since we started living in Nigeria, i couldn't hold myself any longer as i have tried so in so many occasions to avoid hitting her back, but at a point i couldn't take it any more and i had to hit her back! though not so hard, but like oyibos, her skin where i hit her turned purple color and the next day everybody at our office was looking at me like the devil himself and a woman beater... I felt very very bad that i swore never to touch her again!

But last night she came all out for me again, hitting me, throwing lamps and whatever at me, and i lost it again and had to hit her! This time a bit hard! Please what am i supposed to do because i don't feel good after this fights especially when i have to hit her back.

And some of you might ask, why are we always fightinghuh Well, i happens to be the bread winner in my family, but my wife doesn't understand why i should give money to my brother to help him in his business or pay for a new home for my mum. She said my family is too lazy and they should go and fend for themselves. My family is all i had and i feel obliged to help them even as i have a joint business venture with my wife and we run same account, thus finds out anytime i give them money. My brother was the one who helped and paid for my studies in Europe when his business was moving fine...now i feel i have to support him too because he has some problems with his business, but my oyibo wife will not hear of it and thus leads to our fighting and she getting physical with me..

Please guys, advise me what to do if you are in my shoes...only matured advises needed. Thanks
Christianity EtcNigerian Pastors!! A Must READ!! by bokom(op): 9:05am On Oct 13, 2013
Pls read and think of it ...,Pastors are building Empires for themselves.... These Pastors tell us 'law' came by moses, but 'grace' came by Jesus... They pray with the grace of Jesus, and collect money with the law of Moses. They are Christians, but nothing Christ-like about them anymore... Jesus Christ was a just man, who understood the principle of the 'widow's mite', but our today Pastors don't give a shit about widow's mite... The more you give, the more important you're in today's churches, irrespective of wether the money is ill-gotten or not. JUST GIVE!!!! The bible is now a weapon of mass deception... They twist the bible knowing that people are lazy to read. They collect 10% tithe, they collect welfare offering, they collect building offering, regular offering *all from one month's salary etc.... After which they will ask you to make vows and sow seeds at random! Haha!! Why won't they be billionaires? After collection, they build high profile schools, exotic Hotels and Hospitals for Politicians and their children, not caring about people who have been giving their widow's mite. The bible said "give that there may be meat in my store house"... God never said you should keep collecting after you have an overflow.

These schools were all built with the sweats of their church members who kept sowing seeds; special offering seeds, first fruit seed, redemption seed, thanksgiving seed, harvest seed, tithes, pastor's birthday seed, church building seed, evangelism seed, father's day seed, mother's day seed, children' day seed, pastor's cake seed, olive oil seed, etc. These schls are now elite schools, only for the rich politician children. TravelEx-basketball Player, Chinedu Onyeuku, Shot Dead While Trying Robbing A Home by bokom(op): 9:10pm On Nov 30, 2012
A former Nigerian national basketball player was shot dead in a botched burglary in Texas before Thanksgiving, it has been revealed.

Chinedu Onyeuku, 29, was trying to break into a home in Plano on November 21 and was shot and killed by the homeowner, police say. Onyeuku had played for the Nigerian team that qualified for this summer’s Olympic Games in London.

According to the Dallas News, Onyeuku and another person allegedly tried to break into a residence on Rio Grande Street in Plano, Texas the night of November 21.

The homeowner told Plano police that he saw ‘multiple people’ approaching the house. The two apparently entered the residence by breaking a glass patio door.

The homeowner shot Onyeuku, killing him instantly. His accomplice ran away without injury. Police are still trying to track the second burglar.

No one inside the home was injured in the burglary. Upon their arrival, EMT workers pronounced him dead at the scene.

It is unclear why Onyeuku and his companion were trying to burglarize the residence.

The Nigeria Basketball Federation posted a statement saying that the 29-year-old athlete played basketball for the team that qualified for the London 2012 Olympics.

However, Onyeuku was not on the Olympic roster and did not actually compete.

The statement reads:

'[His] passion for playing with D’Tigers was deep-seated and he will be greatly missed. The federation joins his family and team mates to mourn a departed son, father, husband and great patriot”.

According to online sports records, Onyeuku was born in the Nigerian capital of Lagos in 1983. He moved to the United States at age six.

He played college basketball at Illinois State University and then went semi-pro for awhile, playing for the Arlington Bulldogs, in the American Basketball Association.

In 2009, he was invited to play for the D’Tigers, a national squad in Nigeria. It also said that Onyeuku lived in Omaha, Nebraska.

FamilyTop 10 Signs The Girl You're Dating Is A Certified Gold Digger by bokom(op): 2:19pm On Nov 18, 2012
There are a lot of successful Brothas out there and during your dating escapades, you may need some help in separating the women who genuinely like you, and those who are just after your wallet. When your professional game is tight, you’re going to meet some attractive women who just see you as a meal ticket. We’ve crafted a list of the top 10 signs to know the girl you are seeing is a certified gold-digger. There is nothing wrong with a woman being attracted to financial stability and ambition, but we’re talking about something different here. Iron Mike and Sir Paul probably wish they had studied this list before they got married:

1. She asks you to buy her something or borrow money early on in the relationship.
Unless you are fine with the idea of paying for your sex and the company of this woman, this is a red flag.

2. She wears a long weave down her back, cakes on the make-up and doesn’t have a job.
This is probably controversial for a lot of people, but we need to throw the political correctness in the trash if we are talking about saving you money, embarrassment and extended headaches. Trust me; if she has a long fake weave down her back, sans the job, you should be “extra suspicious” of her intentions. If you must, make sure you put these types under several stress tests to determine if they’re genuine or not.

3. She never offers to pay and only says thank you occasionally…as if she’s entitled to your spending.
A man should pay for the first date and a thank you is necessary. In terms of identifying diggers, a thank you after a small dinner means more than her going down on you when you get her back to the crib. If after several dates she has never offered to pay for anything, you should be suspicious.

4. She only wants to go to expensive restaurants.
After impressing her on the first or second date, take her to a few inexpensive places like Red Lobster and see how she reacts. If she reacts unappreciative or complains, she is either a digger, or may be too high maintenance. Don’t be a punk or weak for the panties and call the digger back. If you do, you may as well hire a dime quality call girl which will save you some money and more than a few migraine headaches in the long run.

5. She has dated multiple professional athletes.
Food for thought: Why has she dated guys on four different national football and basketball teams? Do these brothas have the most character and best personalities? What ball players are always sure to have is money. Guess what? So do you. Diggers and ball players have a long history together.

6. You catch her online reading the lipstick alley message board.
This community is known to have an abundance of life-long diggers who share war stories and battle strategies. If you go forward and this girl turns out to be a digger, you are likely to be put on blast by the vicious and sneaky “sisters” who are part of this digger community.

7. She wants intimate details about how much you make.
If she is a dime and you are eager to soak up her panties, you may just want to play along, sex her, and then not call the digger back. She played a gold digging poker game with the wrong guy and lost.

8. She doesn’t demand you wear a condom or “says” she will go on birth control early in the relationship.
Diddy reportedly had to pay more than $4.5 million in child support for his youngest son Christian. He has had three more kids since then. You get the picture. A hard core digger will see kids as a lifelong financial insurance policy. Even a condom may not save you as there are digger “baby strategies” that can compromise the standard condom.

9. Physically speaking, you two are completely mismatched.
You have to be objective here. If you look like Craig Mack or weigh 400 pounds and the girl you’re dating looks like Nia Long in the Boyz N' The Hood days with the little catholic school skirt, it may not be your personality, game, or funny jokes doing the work here. You have to be honest with yourself in determining how good your game really is. Your game is likely not on the level as “RP” or Bishop Don Juan on American love-vendor. It’s ok to go after dimes but be careful if things look “stretched” from your usual dating experiences.

10. She only lets you hit when you buy her something.
If the only time you get some is after an expensive date or if she only hooks you up with brains after she gets an expensive gift, you probably have a digger on your hands. She is attaching sex to money and this is part of gold diggings 101.

This list doesn’t suggest there is a perfect science to identifying sneaky gold diggers, but if you find a woman you’re interested in is matching up with a few of these, watch your wallet and don’t be a simpleton.
