I'm putting every effort to reduce the fuel consumption in my 2005 eod.
1) my radiator isn't follow come so it has no ect sensor 2. ( pls should I just change the radiator or I work in the sensor? )
2) I'm at crossroads in-between getting a China catalyst or getter a spacer. ( pls which one is better as per consumption? )

- does it conserve fuel?
- can you drive without it with no consequences?
- Is there any benefits to decat your car?
- what is the best way to decat and avoid check light?

Let us argue/discuss this till someone with an actual issue comes.

well, I'm sure catalytic converter reduce harmful emissions but as for conservation of fuel, it's still not clear

An oxygen sensor spacer is a device that is placed between the exhaust manifold or catalytic converter and the oxygen sensor.
You can easily buy it on eBay or Amazon
The function is to fool the ECU about air/fuel ratio.

Can one buy brand new catalyst ( China ) for eod? Will it work like normal catalyst does? Or has the spacer to sell. I'm not used to ordering things from Amazon or ebay.

Bit this magnet stuff dey baffle me. My car alternator no dey magnet and my battery dey charge well.

I met a man yesterday where I went to replace my mirror, I asked him about catalyst and he said he knows about catalyst, so he made some few calls and said he will get back to me. He called me later that evening and said it's 213,000 I sent him the money, he called me later in the night and said he has bought it.

The next morning I drove to his shop and he showed me, I don't know how it looks like because I haven't seen a catalyst before.

When he was about fixing it I walked away, because I don't want him to think that I'm suspecting him or does not trust him. I came back later and he has already loosed my exhaust out, he showed me both and said that the catalyst was in the big part I circled on the image. He fixed the new one, I later drove to my mechanic and he told him, I showed him my exhaust that was removed, and he told me that the man does not know what he is saying, he said that the catalyst was in the small place I circled, I argued with him, he asked his colleagues and they confirmed it to be true.

They checked my exhaust and my mechanic confirmed that my old catalyst was still intact. Apparently, I wasted the money, money I was supposed to replace to faulty "abs" nevertheless, the deed has already been done.

Pls house, help me. My honda accord 2005 idle speed is unstable at idle. But once I detach the cold coolant temperature sensor ( cold start ), the idle speed will balance.

Rewire insisted it's the throttle body, we changed it, nothing. He said most throttle body are bad or have been worked on. Until we get a good one. But I said it should be the cold start. Since the fault goes off once I detached it.


We replaced cold start but same issue. I'm very confused.
