I have swapped brain box but still the same

Pls help me o. My eod, 2005 dey show me shege. It all starts while driving, the car suddenly went off, I tried restarting no way.

I scanned it and brought cam shaft position sensor code. I called rewire, he changed sensor and started the car. It worked for few minutes and off again and didn't come up.

Rewire suggested mechanic check camshaft and timing chain. Mechanic replaced timing chain and camshaft with adjuster. Car start buy it didn't sound smoothly and latter off after few seconds.

If the car goes off, it won't come up again. Since then , no solution. Pls help me ooooo

It's not actually my mechanics fault. He is a very sincere person and has never deceived me for 1 day in years. He took me to the gear specialist who has worked on 2 gears for him before. Apart from 150k I spent with him, I bought 2 DW1 gear oils because he wasted my oils and you know how much that costs, bought 2 switch solenoids and the shift sensors too. Pls other expenses on this gear issue.

I am just finding out how super sensitive working on the gear is. If I knew what I know now, I would've gathered money to replace... and the proces here in PH is cut throat so I didn't consider the option...

Ahhhh... You've spent almost 300k on repairing gearbox when a new gearbox costs just 350k? And now they are quoting 800k to replace it for you?. Sir you really need to change that your mechanic first.

This is what I was talking about, these mechanical parts have a lifespan and when they have lived up those useful years, spending money to fix it is like a waste of time.

Anyway you can call the guy, he's a big time dealer and I'm sure he does interstate delivery of parts too. The logistics might just be a bit high but not gonna be pocket draining and definitely will not cost you up to 500k not to talk about 800k they are quoting for you over there.

Congratulations on going against all the odds. Most people give up especially when nobody wants to reverse the mods.

Ensure you use genuine coolant (50-50), your radiator cap is good, and your overflow tank is connected and properly filled.

Finally, easy on the throttle as your car would have a lot of power!

thank you, I'll take this into consideration. For the first three days I drove for 2 hours at a stretch without the AC, and it did not overheat.
My eyes dey glued to the gauge for the first three days afterwards, I just dey glance normally once in a while sha.

just make sure you no loose guard concerning over heating level

Can you buy car at ibadan? I want to swap my eod, 2005. Still in good condition

it can be fixed. I believe it's a bad seal. It has happened to my eod and the seal was replaced

guy if you followed car solutions on this forum, you suppose know that the first thing is for you to scan your car. Get a Bluetooth scanner from jiji or temu before mechanics use your money roof and paint their houses

Hmmm... Does your engine burn oil and how is the timing too? Try checking the pressure of your engine. You can keep the engine running, then open your oil cap to see if the sound that comes out is mixed with air (that's a quick pressure test I was taught)

I use same EOD and my acceleration is top notch. I rival cars on the road and I've been known on 3rd mainland bridge for my constant speed between 4:30 - 5pm daily.

Kindly check your engine thoroughly... There must be an issue somewhere.

Hmmm... This isn't the case for me. Just like @agoodman mentioned, I also prefer the 7th generation due to the faster acceleration it has (for me). The fact that both generations share the K24 engine series is just makes me see no reason to get the 8th generation (for now). I'm just stuck with my EOD even after several opportunities to upgrade the car, but I just won't give it up.

The 2017 Accord is the only generation I think I might move directly to when the time is right.

my own eod acceleration isn't that fast o. Even on express, smaller cars dey dust me. Gets worse if I put on ac. The only code I have Is the catalyst absence. I just changed my plugs to brand new no difference. Pls what else can I do? Not that it's worse but a 2.4l engine should get more power fah. It's 4plugs though
