Put poverty and bad governance aside, this is peer pressure. As a matter of fact, most of the people here can afford to feed well in Nigeria. Poor Nigerians do not have money for passport and visa.

What I know and remember Aregebsola for in Osun was the fact that he was governing the state without commissioners for a hell of a long time and could not pay salaries. He started big and laudable projects then federal allocation dropped and he abandoned them. He had no capacity to generate IGR. He also divided the state seriously;y along religious lines and spent most of his time chasing frivolities rather than seeking ways to generate IGR.

I remember clearly that the passport process was seamless and was already on autopilot , then he stepped in and there was a scarcity of passport raw materials, which was the first time I heard of that in my 50 years on earth....the Passport issuance process went backwards and was riddled with touting and favouritism. Getting passports outside Nigeria was hell! Cancelled and failed appointments and disappointment.
Immediately after Aregbesola left , the backlog was cleared and the process not only became seamless but also improved upon!.

Aregbesola and all the politicians in ADC are old people who want to die without giving the younger ones the opportunity to improve this country.

ADC will implode quickly or be worse than APC in my view, they are again strange bed fellows. APC and Tinubu is leprous to Nigeria btw

Why would the man be trying to endanger lives with his children in the car , What example is he teaching them? My son from JSS1 would not let me rest if I ever beat a traffic light not to talk of driving against traffic. He would highlight others who are beating traffic lights as wrong, how can I , his role model, be beating traffic lights?

The driver will live with the effects of his bad decisions all his life. Especially knowing we have a trigger-happy force , why would I not only commit the offence , disobey and assault the officers with my car ...that's a king rap sheet , the man is culpable and mind you , if he tries it with American police , he would likely be dead.

The police man and the rest of the team are only passionate about the potential victim to extort and not passionate about the work of traffic management. while it may have been expedient to stop the errant driver who was reckless ( he may have been a kidnapper), apparently someone in the Traffic organisation car acknowledged that the man had children but not clear if the policeman knew. .........its also within the rules of engagement to use utmost caution in the discharge of firearms, why not shoot into the air , especially with the strong ricochet of AK47 , he should have been more cautious. A single AK-47 bullet fired can kill 2 people in a straight line.

Ultimately, both sides will be punished ....but an innocent life had been untimely cut short. The boy is the only victim and his siblings who watched him die.
The father will live with the reality that his decisions killed his son and will have to explain his actions to his surviving kids till the end of his life.....
The policeman will face the music for the careless use of his weapon alone in a dingy cell; his superiors, whom he may be delivering proceeds to, will deny him. He will regret the murder of a child, and his career has ended due to his lack of discretion.

Sad, sad, sad and hope we all learn lessons from this.

Got home 6am seeing so many breakdowns and accidents and just frustrated people ...the speed cameras also picking my no on the way ........These civil servants are from Hell!

Its crude and primitive to be "waylaying" or literarily "lying in wait" for passengers at the airport in this manner , Most civilised countries use sniffer dogs scanners and technology to pick and politely stop passengers for questioning. What is he looking for on the passport that he cannot see on an electronic passport scanning system. Most of the civilised world have stopped stamping passports physically .

Its unsettling ,annoying and frustrating to be stopped like this after 20 hours of flying. These officials are largely just looking for something to pin on the passengers to collect bribes...that's all.

ERISCO Foods got her arrested for the sake of justice. The miscarriage is a coincidence, not a deliberate action.

She said the paste contains Sugar. It is true, and the company never said otherwise. On the body of the paste, Sugar is listed as one of the ingredients in the paste.
