There is a ministry of finance in the state and that ministry has a permanent secretary. The governor has a right and role to summon all the perm secs and directors and get all the Information he needs. Not as if he will understand the financial statements when they give him�

govt is all about continuity, irrespective of your political acclimation. Imo state wasn’t created yesterday , thus u don’t expect him to start building bricks without straws. even when Jonathan handed over to Buhari ,despite a documented handover , it took him 5months to set sail because of the loopholes created by the previous govt , not to talk of a previous governor that didn’t prepare any hand over documents and just walked out of govt house , the governor doesnt know how much is in the state purse , who is withdrawing monies codedly without govt approval , who the state is owing , who has been issued payments ,what projects have been awarded but not financed or vis-versa , I mean comon, it’s like appointing you the MD of a bank and upon resumption , nobody can give you the financial position of the bank ( it’s netbook assets and liabilities ,cash @ hand , who the bank is owing , what investments are in ground , what projects are in pipeline etc) I mean explain to us how you are going to hit the ground running ?

I agree with you sir, but the same way I feel Osinbajo should be stripped of his SAN for coming out to say one of the reasons the administration could not deliver on its promises is a weak justice system...........Our leaders need to understand that they are responsible for moving things forward . Osinbajo should use his knowledge and experience to guide the ministry of Justice, attorney general and work with the national assembly to revive the justice system not complain about it, his job that the country pays for is for him to sort out the problem not complain.

Back to Ihedioha..... as the executive governor for 4 days, he now has direct access to the president , EFCC, cbn governor, police, dss, his perm secs etc......all these are in place for him to kick off on ground zero, assuming no handing over notes were prepared. Why all the whining and complaints in the press , why all the bad pictures coming from governors lodge.......I can't speak for Rochas because I have not been to Imo in a decade but guess what, he is governor to work and fix problems not whine.

I'm sure Imo people did not vote for a wimp of a governor. I imagine everyone will vote for a Man who can solve their problems not while about it.

He is petty, emotional and without focus...he will end up like Ambode , he will spend 4 years going after Rochas and end up doing almost nothing worthwhile.

If your case is clearly under the crime being investigated by EFCC, write a petition with all the details and documentary proof, type and print 4 copies and take it to the nearest EFCC office in your zone. Write to the director of operations


Secondly write the chairman of nigerian bar Association in your state to report the misconduct and I hope you have documentary proof.

I am happy each time I hear loads of people are retired in the civil service because many of them are richer than the department and ministries they manage......the civil service is one area government spends most of taxpayers money without requisite value. The cost of governance is too high.

While the families of the retired folks are angry, the newly appointed ones are rejoicing that their time has come

The constitution does not oppose restricted movement for security reasons and many others. If Babcock decides to lock their gates by 5.30 pm they are within their rights. However, they are not within their rights to routinely invade the privacy of students and assault them physically in order to get access to their phones. Their phones are not Babcock property.
We are guided in Nigeria by the laws of Nigeria, not the laws of Babcock university.

The guy should test the law and seek interpretation of the courts. That is how a nation grows.

While I disagree with your proposition, I hope he can go to court over this matter and i hope a judge will so strike out the case. We are tipping towards legality and away from morality.

I believe the officlas did everything to ensure the guy would not break the rule in the school and get away. A society is built from the smallest unit in the family to community and so forth, how can the guy break teh rule and still be challenging the authorities, that is the height of brazeness

If you look at African generally, we require a certain level of force and cohersion to make us comply with the simplest of all things.....From my discussion with student in the school, the guy brought his phone into church when it was clearly not allowed.

The guy was recalcitrant and resisted handing over the phone to the officials, even in western democracies, a security guard can beat down a stubbon fellow to gain control.

I see it as appropriate treatment of a disobedient untrained child, he should be expelled if you ask me; to stop others from challenging constituted authority.

The lack of discipline and simple common sense is the reason why nobody cares and does anything without consequence.
