Islam for Muslims / What Is Eid Ul Fitr? by bolayod(m): 5:20pm On Apr 05
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When is Eid ul Fitr 2024?

This year, Eid ul Fitr 2024 is expected to be celebrated on Wednesday 10th of April 2024, or on Thursday, 11th of April, 2024. However, the exact date is subject to the sighting of the moon of Shawwal, 1445, the 10th month of the Islamic Calendar.

What is Eid ul Fitr?

Eid ul Fitr, known as ’عيد الفطر’ in Arabic is a religious festival for all Muslims around the world. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Eid al Fitr is Allah's reward for believers who fasted during the holy month of Ramadan. This is also believers thanking Allah for giving them the chance and the strength to carry out His commands during the blessed month of Ramadan. Traditionally, Eid al Fitr is celebrated for three days in almost all Muslim countries.

Both Eid ul Fitr and Eid Al-Adha have great significance in Islam as the same is evident from the following Hadith:

Narrated that Anas bin Malik (R.A.), who said:

“Allah has given you better than those feasts (festivals of non-believers): the ‘Eid-ul-Adha’ and ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’”

(An-Nasai: 1556)

Remember one thing that Fasting on Eid days i-e Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha is forbidden as the same is evident from the following Hadith:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (R.A.) that Prophet (S.A.W.) said:

"No fasting is permissible on the two days of Eid-ul-Fitr and EId-ul-Adha.”

(Sahih Bukhari: 1995)

Celebrating Eid ul Fitr

Since it is a religious festival, Muslims all over the world celebrate this event with much fervor and each country’s celebrations vary as there is an influence of their traditions. Muslims all over the world celebrate the festival of Eid al Fitr by starting the day with the Eid prayer. After offering prayer, Muslim greet each other with the customary Eid greeting, 'Eid Mubarak'. Everyone gets new clothes made for the special occasion because every single person wants to look his/her best. The day is spent with friends and family get-togethers, indulging in delicious feasts and handing out gifts also known as Eidi.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of happiness and enjoyment, and this is also evident from the following Hadith:

It was narrated by Aisha (R.A.) who reported that Prophet (S.A.W.) said to Abu Bakr (R.A.) (On the day of Eid when Abu Bakr (R.A.) saw two girls were singing the stories about the Day of Buath in Madinah):

“….. O Abu Bakr! Every people have their Eid and this is our Eid.”

(Sahih Bukhari: 952)

In another narration, it is said that Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W.) said to Abu Bakr (R.A.):

“Let them be O Abu Bakr, for these are days of Eid.”

Eid Prayer

Religious scholars have differing opinions on Eid prayers. However, all Muslims should attend prayers of both Eids as most scholars, on the basis of strong evidence, is of opinion that it is Wajib (obligation). One of the purposes behind Eid Prayer is to provide an opportunity to a large number of Muslims to attend congregations in an atmosphere of religious piety. Apart from prayer, the Eid sermon (after Eid Prayer) has also been made an integral part of this gathering and the prayer.

It is important and compulsory for a Muslim to pay ‘Zakat-ul-Fitr’ before offering Eid Prayer. (Sahih Bukhari: 1511)

The time for Eid Prayer begins from the time the sun is three meters above the horizon until the sun reaches its meridian. However, it is better to offer the prayer in the early hours after sunrise. (Abu Dawud: 1135)

Eid Prayer is performed without any ‘Iqmah’ or ‘Athan’. [Sahih Muslim: 885 (b)]

Eid prayer consists of two Rak'at (Two Unit Prayer) during which Takbeer (Allah-u-Akbar) is announced seven times. (Abu Dawud: 1149)

The rest of the Eid prayer is the same as other prayers offered daily.

After completing the prayer, it is Sunnah (some scholars say that it is Wajib) to listen to the Sermon (Khutbah) after Eid Prayer. So one should stay for the Imam’s sermon to end after completing the Eid Prayer.

After listening to the sermon, Muslims congratulate each other with greetings such as ‘Eid Mubarak’, ‘Happy Eid, and عيد مبارك, etc. However, the most common Eid Greeting Muslims like to wish their friends and fellow Muslims with, is ‘Eid Mubarak’.

Sunnah of Eid Prayer

A person should follow the teachings of the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) for every aspect of life. The same should also be applied to Eid Prayer. Following are some of the Sunnah of Prophet (S.A.W.) with regards to Eid prayer that every Muslim should follow:

1- Take a bath or perform ablution before going for a prayer

2- Use a toothbrush or Miswaak

3- Wear your best clothes on this day

4- Apply perfume

5- Eat an odd number of dates before leaving for the prayer of Eid Al-Fitr. (Sahih Bukhari: 953)

6- Make sure that you have paid Zakat Al-Fitr before offering Eid Prayer

7- Recite the following ‘Takbeerat’ while going to and returning from Eid Prayer:

اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allahu akbar laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, Allaah akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd

(Allah is Most Great, Allaah is most Great, Allah is most Great there is no god but Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is most great, and to Allaah be praise) (Irwa Al Ghalil: 3 / 125)

8- Listen to the Sermon (Khutbah) after offering Eid Prayer. (An-Nasai: 1517)

9- Use different ways while going to and returning from the mosque after offering Eid Prayer. (Sahih Bukhari: 986)

Zakat al-Fitr (Fitrana)

As narrated by Ibn Umar (R.A.):

“Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.) made it incumbent (Wajib) on all the slave or free Muslims, male or female, to pay one Sa' of dates or barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr.”

(Sahih Bukhari: 1504)

According to above mentioned Hadith, Zakat Al-Fitr or Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or fitrah/fitrana) is Wajib upon every Muslim including slave, freeman, male, female, young, new-born, and old. The compulsion of Zakat ul-Fitr on a Muslim is the same as the Nisab of normal Zakat (Nisab Is the exemption limit for the payment of Zakat).

Calculate the Payable Zakat through Zakat Calculator

The amount of Sadaqa Al-Fitr to be given by each person is an amount minimum or equivalent to one Sa' of grain/barley/date. Sa’ is an ancient measure of volume and the most common understanding is that one Sa' is equivalent to approx. 2.25-2.5 KGs. However, Muslim scholars all around the world usually announce the amount of Zakat Al-Fitr to be paid during Ramadan.

As in normal Zakat, Zakat Al-Fitr is distributed among poor and needy Muslims. It is preferable to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr first to needy relatives, then to needy neighbors, and then to other needy Muslims.

Zakat Al-Fitr should be paid before the Eid Prayer.

Conclusion

Celebrate the day with your loved ones by indulging in delicious festive feasts and handing out gifts. Give out charity as much as you can so that your underprivileged Muslim brother and sisters can also celebrate this blessed festival.

Also, remember the entire Muslim Ummah in your Duas.

Foreign Affairs / What Is Laylat Ul Qadr? by bolayod(m): 6:38am On Apr 02
What is Laylat ul Qadr?
Laylat al Qadr (لیلة القدر) is an Arabic world which means Night of Power / Night of Decree in English. It is also known as Laylat al Qadr, Laylatul Qadr, Lailatul Qadr / Lailatul Qadar and (شب قدر) in different parts of world.

Ramadan is the holiest month for all Muslims around the world and Laylat Al Qadr is the holiest night of Ramadan which signifies the importance of this night. As mentioned in the beginning, this night is better than a thousand months and worshiping on this night is better than eighty-three years of worship. This reason alone should encourage a true Muslim to spend this night in prayer, Dua & Dhikr, seeking forgiveness and asking Allah for all the blessings of this world and hereafter.

This night is so valuable that the Quran dedicates a special Surah to it i-e Surah Al-Qadr (97).

When Laylat ul Qadr is observed?
Although the exact night on which Laylatul Qadr occurs has not been mentioned anywhere, Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) has directed us to seek Laylat Al Qadr during the odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadan. The same is also evident from the following Hadith:

Narrated by Aishah (R.A.) that Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said:

“Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.”

(Sahih Bukhari: 2017)

So Laylat Al Qadr falls on either 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan. However, it has been emphasized that it is most likely to be the 27th night of Ramadan.

Significance of Laylat ul Qadr
There are many Quranic Ayahs and Hadiths about the importance and significance of this blessed night.

Quran was descended on this night
The Holy Quran was first sent down from heaven on this night. The same is also evident from the following Ayahs of Quran:

“Verily, We have sent it (this Qur’an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree).”

(Surah Al-Qadr 97:1)

“Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night.”

(Surah Dukhan 44:3)

"Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear (signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong)."

(Surah Baqarah 2:185)

The Revelation of the Holy Quran; a sign of Mercy, a guide and a blessing of Allah to mankind. Anyone who is interested in finding the best guide, he/she should look into the teachings of Quran Kareem.

This Night is better than thousand months
Allah says in Quran:

“The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months.”

(Surah Al-Qadr 97:3)

This means worshipping Allah in Laylatul Qadr is better, in reward, than worshipping Him a thousand months, which is equal to 83 years and 4 months.

All your past sins will be forgiven
It is narrated by Abu Hurirah (R.A.) that the Prophet (S.A.W.) said:

“Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

(Sahih Bukhari: 1901)

How Prophet (S.A.W.) observed this night
Praying on this night is also a Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.). Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) would engage himself in devotion during the last ten nights of Ramadan more than he did in any other time of the year. The same is also evident from the following Hadith:

It is narrated by Aishah (R.A.):

“When the last ten nights began (of Ramadan), Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.) kept awake at night (for prayer and devotion), wakened his family, and prepared himself to observe prayer (with more vigour).”

(Sahih Muslim: 1174)

Purpose of Itikaaf
Itakaaf in Mosque during the last 10 days of Ramadan is a great deed and it is also Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.). The main purpose of Itakaaf is seeking Laylat Al Qadr as the same is evident from the following Hadith.

As narrated by Aishah (R.A.), who said:

‘Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan."’

(Sahih Bukhari: 2020)

Prophet (S.A.W.) used to pray so much during Itakaaf that his forehead that his forehead would darken due to continuous prostration before Allah.

As reported Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (R.A.):

“Prophet (S.A.W.) adhered to his place of Itikaf and his forehead was besmeared with mud and water."

[Sahih Muslim: 1167 (b)]

Angels come down to earth with Goodness
Allah Says in Quran:

“The angels and the spirit descend therein by the command of their Lord with His decrees for every affair.”

(Surah Al-Qadr 97:4)

According to Ibn Kathir, the angels descend in abundance, under the leadership of Hazrat Jibrail (A.S.), during the Night of Al-Qadr. The angels descend with the descension of blessings and mercy of Allah, just as they descend when the Quran is recited. The angles then surround the circles of Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and they lower their wings with true respect for the student of knowledge. The angels continue giving the greetings of peace during the whole Night of Al-Qadr to the people who are busy in Supplications, Prayers, Quran Recitation, Dhikr of Allah or any remembrance of Allah until the time of Fajr (dawn) comes.

Dua for Laylat ul Qadr
It was narrated from Aishah (R.A.) that she said:

"O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul Qadr?" He said: "Say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwan tuhibbul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni

(O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me)."

(Ibn Majah: 3850)

Things to do on Laylat ul Qadr
If you are interested in living the Night of Power, let us remind you of some of the things that you might have to do.

On the nights (odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadan) one may spend the time collectively and/or individually observing the following activities:

1) Recitation of Holy Ouran.

2) Praying Nafl after Taraweeh Prayer

3) Remembering Allah (also known as Dhikr)

4) Making Dua (supplication) for yourself, your loved ones and the Muslim Ummah

5) Reading books of Hadeeth to learn about Sunnahs of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.)

6) Reading Tafseer of Quran

7) Giving charity to others if you can afford it

cool Sharing your knowledge about Islam with those next to you so they benefit and learn from you

Conclusion
All in all, the Night of Power is a very important occasion in Islam. This Night is a night of Mercy, a night of Blessing, a night of Peace and a night of Guidance. It is a night of Unification between the finite world of ours and the Infinite Universe of the Unseen. Anyone who is interested in attaining the Mercy of Allah will strive very hard to look for the Night of Power. Anyone who is interested in receiving the blessings of Allah on the Blessed Night will work very hard to make the most of the Night of Power. Anyone who is interested in attaining peace of mind, peace of body and peace in society; he/she has to look for this Night and live it.

May Allah give us the strength, the power, the courage and the effort to do our best to obey Allah and follow His teachings. May Allah guide us and strengthen our Iman. We pray that Allah help us live another year with sincerity and devotion. May Allah make us realize that one year of our life is over and we are one year closer to our graves. Let us wake up and do our best to please Allah in our daily life. Let us ask Allah for forgiveness.

(Ameen)

Science/Technology / US 'clock Boy' Ahmed Mohamed To Move To Qatar by bolayod(m): 11:59am On Oct 21, 2015
Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim boy from Texas whose teacher mistook his homemade clock for a bomb, will move to Qatar with his family.
Ahmed has accepted a scholarship from the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, where he will study.
He met US President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday.
After being detained over the clock, Ahmed's case went viral on social media.
Some alleged he was unfairly treated because of his name and religious background. Officials in Irving Texas defended their decision, saying they were only concerned with the safety of students.
The Qatar Foundation is providing a full scholarship for his secondary and undergraduate education, according to a news release.
"Our family has been overwhelmed by the many offers of support we have received since the unfortunate incident of Ahmed's arrest," the Mohamed family said in the release. "From the White House to Sudan, to Mecca, we have been welcomed by a variety of individuals, businesses and educational institutions."
According to his family, Ahmed will be enrolled in the Qatar Foundation's "Young Innovators" program and his whole family will relocate with him to Qatar.
"Qatar was a cool place to visit. I loved the city of Doha because it's so modern. I saw so many amazing schools there, many of them campuses of famous American universities," said Ahmed in the news release. "The teachers were great. I think I will learn a lot and have fun too."'
Ahmed withdrew from his Texas school shortly after the clock incident.
He was arrested after his teacher mistook his clock for a bomb, sparking outrage and the trending hashtag #StandWithAhmed.
In addition to being invited to the White House, Ahmed received an outpouring of support from scientists, politicians and celebrities including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Politics / Re: Why Islamic Scholars Are Silent On Boko Haram, By Governor Kashim Shettima by bolayod(m): 9:29am On Jul 27, 2015
LastProphet:

From today i. Want u to know that any Muslims claiming peace is a fake Muslim and shekau and other terrorists have repeatedly exposed that fact by quoting directly from the koran which clearly asks Muslims to kill infidels (others). So if u see any Muslim claiming to be a moderate don't waste your time he is just saying that for political acceptance, he is a fake Muslim and that is why you see that bokoharam doesn't spare them too in their attacks. Any intelligent Muslim know they have no religion but fear keeps them in line just as shetimma described

Deuteronomy 17:
2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

The Christian relationship to the Old Testament is kind of confusing. It's often cited as the Old Law that Jesus came to fulfill, relieving (for example) the dietary requirements, and lets you treat passages like this one as no longer relevant. But Christians often cite Old Testament laws (for example, on homosexuality) so it can be a little hard to tell precisely what they believe.

There are also New Testament passages cited as justification to kill non-believers, e.g.

Luke 19:27:
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

As well as Matthew 10:34:
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Islam is the problem of this world. Mohammed started all this madness in the name of religion. Usman Dan fodio brought that same madness to Nigeria and it has badly affected the north and their mentality. The world would be a better place if Islam is eradicated from our society and the world at large. The main reason Islamic scholars have not been able to speak out against the atrocities perpetuated by Boko Haram is because it's part of the objectives of islam. Islam means total submission. Opinions don't count or matter in Islam. How can they say Islam is not violent when on countless occasion shekau, Boko Haram, ISIL, Al Shabab, Al Qaeda and Co all make reference to the Koran for their all their atrocities. Prophet mohammed is the worst human being that was ever created cos it is the seeds that he sowed when he was alive that has germinated into what the world is suffering today which is called terrorism. All terrorists are not muslims but all muslims are terrorists.

If I got you right you said the phone performs action by itself..
Two major factors are response for this malfunction.

The first is apps and os corrupted by virus (software problem) which is supposed to be restored by deleting the affected apps.

The second is discrepancy in the layers of the screen (hardware).. There is a short circuit in the layers of the screen or the flex. (recommended to consult a phone repairer)

That's the work of a Trojan Horse or virus.

Connect your phone to a pc with a USB and try scanning it through the computer system..
Next step
Try installing an anti-virus in ur phone and do a complete scan.

Have done that as you advised but still the same. No result
