A physically challenged member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Chima Dike, has narrated how a fellow Youth Corper turned to a mother figure for her and helped her throughout her stay in their camp in Taraba state.

The helper identified as Ogechi Okoli aided the physically challenged lady in getting her meals, even literally carrying her to the bathroom amid other things she did for her at the camp.

Chima Dike took to her Instagram page to hail Ogechi whom she had nothing but praises for.

"Before embarking on that trip, I had prayed for a mother figure amongst other things. At the park, I'm still seated in the car and I see some young people gathered around the bus I'm supposed to board and I'm just looking to be sure that my big box has been put in.

The driver stopped at Onitsha to fix the brakes of the bus for the journey ahead. Everyone came down to stretch and buy stuffs. After a while, a girl came and stood at the entrance of the bus and said "I know you!" Errm.. I didn't know what to say cos she didn't even look familiar in any way. She said it again and explained how she used to see me in school, most times with my 'brother'. She told me her department and I remembered that we had taken lectures together sometimes, but hey, I still didn't know her. Well, she said her name was Ogechi and we talked for a bit before she went back to her seat. That was the second friend I made in that bus.

They all got down at the gate except me. After the guy who helped me to the hostel left, it dawned on me that I was on my own. I was just sitting on my bed arranging things in my head when I heard someone say, "So, this is where you are. I've been looking for you". Guess who.. Oge of course. She helped me get settled and showed me that her bed wasn't so far from mine. She gave me her number and told me to call her or shout her name if I needed anything.

Next morning, Oge carried me on her back to the bathroom instead of using the chair. We completed our registration process and were coincidentally in the same platoon. One day, she sat me down and told me that she had been asking God why she was posted to Taraba and that the moment she met me, she found her answer. From going to the market to eat, to getting my meals, Oge played the mother part so well till I met other people.

The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Lagos Chapter and the Girl Child Foundation, an NGO have taken up the case of a little girl named Ngozi Uba who was seriously battered by her madam Mrs. Chioma Obi for allegedly cutting her children’s finger nails without accounting for where she kept the nails.

Narrating the story to Dnllegalandstyle, a source said, “Mrs. Chioma Obi who lives in Ago Palaceway Okota, Lagos took the little girl as a house help and has been maltreating and beating her at every opportunity. On this recent occasion, she complained that Ngozi cut her children’s fingernails and branded her a witch, after which she inflicted deep cut injuries on her body leaving her in pains and agony. The poor girl still carried the wounds to school.

It was at her school, “Kingdom of God School, No. 7/9 Community Road Ago Palaceway Okota” that the fact of her ordeal was brought to the attention of the Proprietor of the school who immediately reported the case to the police. Mrs. Chioma was then arrested.

Even at the police station, Mrs. Chioma who apparently did not realize the gravity of what she did, was unrepentant and showed no remorse over her actions. It was her husband Mr. Chidozie Obi who claimed to have returned recently from Cotonou that was pleading with the police to forgive his wife and release the child back to him. He also made an undertaken to ensure that his wife does not beat the girl again.

However, things took a twist when the fact of the above incident was brought to the knowledge of FIDA Lagos and the Girl Child Foundation. They immediately swung into action refusing the whole arrangement with the Police and insisting that Mrs. Chioma must be charged to court and prosecuted. FIDA and the NGO also demanded the immediate release of the child to the NGO to enable them take her to a safe shelter.

A footage has emerged showing the moment a  police woman and her three children were found dead at her house at Oja-Oba area in Osogbo, Osun state. 

The police Sergeant and two of her children were found dead in the house last Thursday while two other children who were grasping for breath were rushed to hospital.

One of the kids was taken to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife where he later died while the last born who is about 4-months-old was taken to the police clinic in Osogbo.

Some of the residents of the area said the deceased might have been killed by food poisoning or fume from generator set having inhale Carbon monoxide emission from her generating set.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Folashade Odoro, while confirming the incident said the cause of their death would be investigated.

A man was allegedly killed by suspected cultists along Otukpo railway close to Ella Market in Benue state. It was gathered that the victim was reportedly hit in the head with an axe.

The man was discovered lying lifeless near the railway this morning as local vigilante group in the area contacted men of the Nigerian police.

Some months ago, no fewer than 10 persons were killed with several others injured in a clash that erupted between cult groups in Otukpo, Benue State.

Some of the victims were killed at a popular drug joint in the town, known as Banana Island.

This seems to be the new trend. A young man has got himself trending after pictures of himself and several ladies surfaced online.

The viral pictures show the yet-to-be identified handsome man posing with several ladies at different times as the Facebook user who posted them revealed that the women are all lovers of the man. 

This is happening weeks after pictures of a man and various ladies laying in bed after sex, emerged on the internet. 

The man whose identity was not revealed, is believed to be a married man according to online reports.

Some online users hailed the man who was labelled a ‘machine’ for his sexual prowess while others have blasted him over indecency and having sex with multiple partners which is unhealthy.

The pathetic situation of a place/abandoned building where Nigerians live in Milan, Italy has been uncovered yet again. 

Some Italian men visited an abandoned building said to be cohabited by mostly Nigerians and a few others in the area - to investigate what is really going on there. 

According to reports, most Nigerians there are alleged to be selling illegal drugs to children and women. It is believed that a dose of heroin is being sold for five euros.

It was also reported that White girls also engage in prostitution there with the Nigerian gangs so they can get free drugs in return as they become slaves to the Nigerian drug dealers. 

The Nigerian men are also alleged to be practising cultism and voodoo in the area as burnt items including mannequins were seen scattered all over the place. 

Some Italian girls were also seen sleeping together with Nigerians in the rooms. 

When one of the men asked an Italian lady what she was doing there, a Nigerian man woke up from the mattress and allegedly urinated in front of the Italians while holding a machete in his hand before the men took to their heels.

Confusion gripped residents after a young man reportedly went mad in Benin city, Edo state.

According to reports, the young man alleged to be an internet fraudster popularly known as 'Yahoo Boy', stripped to his boxers and sat on the ground in public while purportedly making some shocking confessions. 

The incident which happened this morning at Agbior park by Ohovbe junction in the city attracted a huge crowd of residents who mocked him being that they know him well.

It is alleged that the young man just bought his father a new car and few weeks after that the man passed away.

The young man allegedly made some confessions that he has been killing people for rituals. 

In a trending video posted online, the young man can be heard shouting 'Daddy', 'Daddy' as he laid on the ground and was confessing while mocked him and told him to face the consequence of his actions.

Confusion and commotion trailed a wedding ceremony over the weekend in Imo state after the groom's first wife attacked the bride (second wife). 

According to reports, the groom went to Apostolic church at Nkwo Orji in Owerri North area of the state to wed his second wife, but the church rejected him being that he is already married.

It was gathered that the man went to another church known as the Altar of prayer Gospel ministries in the same area and the pastor accepted to wed them.

On the day of the wedding, Sunday, 25th November 2018, the first wife allegedly stormed the wedding venue and poured palm oil on the second wife's wedding gown which nearly caused a big fight.

Further details were not given as to whether the wedding still held.

This is what was removed from the stomach of a woman who thought she was pregnant, not knowing she had fibroid

According to the woman based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, it hasn’t been an easy journey for her because she thought she was pregnant with child.

She revealed that having to deal with the loss of 3 children to different medical conditions wasn’t easy for her as a mother but the sight of the protruding stomach brought back a little bit of hope.

For almost 2 years nothing happened and she had to go to the hospital to check up and run scan. It was during these scan that she was told that she wasn’t pregnant but had Fibroid.

They spoke to her about the symptoms and she realised that she's had this thing for more than 7 years without knowing what it was.

She disclosed that her devastation was indeed unbearable because her husband had left her insinuating that what she was carrying in her stomach was the reason for his misfortunes in life.

The woman has undergone a successful surgery and the fibroids removed.

This is so sad. Various passengers were killed in a fatal accident today along an expressway in Aba, Abia state. The victims who were travelling in a Sienna bus ran into a container truck along the highway. 

According to reports, the impact of the accident was so much that almost all the car occupants were killed on the spot. 

The fatal accident caused a huge gridlock in the area as many residents and motorists stopped at the scene. 

Just few months ago, six persons were killed in an auto crash involving a truck and a commercial bus in Abia state. 

The truck was said to have crushed the bus as they struggled for the right of way at a dilapidated portion of the road at Amavo junction, Osisioma Ngwa council area of Abia State. 

The bus loaded with about 15 passengers was damaged beyond repairs as men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, and sympathizers, struggled to separate the dead from the injured.

Reports have it that the alleged bribery videos of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, are now being sold in markets in Kano state.

A young man who purchased the full season from episode 1-6, took to Facebook to show them off as he revealed how the videos are being sold well in the market. 

This is coming after a Kano high court granted an interim injunction sought by Kano governor, restraining Daily Nigerian Newspaper and Jafaar Jafaar, its publisher, from publishing videos about him.

The news platform had published videos showing Ganduje allegedly collecting kickbacks from contractors.

Ganduje had subsequently filed a N3 billion suit against the newspaper.

The governor asked the court to declare the publication as wrongful and a defamation of character.

The contractor behind the videos had said he was ready to testify before the Kano state assembly panel investigating the matter.

The Kano assembly committee recently halted its investigations following a court order.

There was a mild drama at a burial event after it was alleged that a carved wooden image was buried instead of a man's corpse in Nnewi area of Anambra state

The deceased identified as late Mr. Sunday Nwosu of Otolo Nnewi, was the eldest brother of Mr Ikechukwu Nwosu a.k.a Ikechukwunyelu of Obiuno Otolo Nnewi, in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State.

According to reports, late Mr Sunday Nwosu died almost 3 years ago (on the 10th of January 2016). His younger brother reportedly claimed and had been telling the family all this while that his brother's corpse was in the mortuary. And he didn't have money yet to bury him.

But on Friday, being the 23rd of November 2018, Mr Ikechuchkwu Nwosu invited few friends to a funeral service without the approval of his kinsmen. He brought back the supposed corpse of his brother Mr. Sunday and instructed it shouldn't be opened.

It was gathered that the younger sister came without notice and forcefully opened the casket. And behold it was not Sunday's corpse that was in the casket but a carved wood supposed to be that of their late brother.

Amidst her cries and laments there, no action was taken. And Mr Ikechukwu still went ahead to with the burial.

Now, some villagers want Mr Ikechukwu Nwosu to be arrested and asked where the corpse of his brother is.
