A man has taken to social media to cry out after his brother was allegedly shot dead by policemen in Akwa Ibom state.

According to the man identified as Kingsley, his brother who was a motorcyclist popularly known as 'Okada rider', was out to hustle for his daily bread and was killed in the process.

The man was allegedly shot by police officers in a village called Etwo in Okoeboko junction. He died after being shot in the stomach.

The main reason for the alleged killing was not given but it has been claimed he was shot for not settling the officers.

Eighty-six ladies wore wedding gowns to celebrate after having concluded basic self-starter acquisition programmes in Anambra state.

The ladies were presented with start-up equipment and stipends by the Wife of the state governor, Chief (Dr.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, to venture into their chosen enterprises.

The graduands, trained at the Skill Acquisition Centre, Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, had undergone intensive skilled programmes in different skill-based areas including Food and Nutrition, Tailoring, Computer Education, Arts and Crafts and Hair Dressing and Cosmetology.

On display are handmade products by the graduands, as well as supporting empowerment tools.

Residents of Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital, brutally killed a dog earlier today after alleging that it was transformed from a human being.

According to multiple online reports from residents who witnessed the killing, it was alleged that a man turned into the big dog after alighting from his car at Garrison area in Port-Harcourt.

The dog was immediately caught, tied up and tortured to death before its corpse was dumped by the roadside.

The incident caused tension in the area. 

Meanwhile, online users have condemned the killing of the 'innocent' dog, with many calling for the arrests of those responsible.

A man was severely dealt with after he was allegedly caught molesting a primary school pupil. 

According to Facebook user Micheal Adesina, the middle-aged man was spotted by a passerby while allegedly sexually abusing the girl. 

An alarm was immediately raised, as the girl was rescued and the man apprehended by the residents who beat him mercilessly over the shameful act.

Micheal posted the trending video of the man being beaten by residents after he was caught but didn't give the exact location where it happened. 

It was gathered that the man was later dragged to the police station.

Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo returned back to Nigeria yesterday, after travelling to the United States of America, few weeks back.

The treasurer of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos state chapter, was stabbed in a violent clash between union workers at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ikeja on January 8.

He traveled to the US where he is a citizen for more medical examination and also to rest.

A special prayer was held for him earlier today at his residence in Ejigbo after it was earlier slated to hold at Jalisco Mini stadium in Oshodi, Lagos. The event caused a total knockdown of the area with supporters trooping in their numbers. 

The NURTW who is reportedly eyeing the NURTW state chairman position, said the union is not for thugs but for great and loyal people. 

He reportedly said that people can say whatever they want about him but God knows he has not done bad thing to anyone and always help people who come across his way.

A graduate of Auchi Federal Polytechnic in Edo state, has lost his life after being involved in a fatal accident. 

It was gathered that the deceased identified as Ehis, was crushed to death after a lorry fell on his Lexus car on Saturday, January 26th at Ewu Hills, Benin-Auchi express road in Edo. 

According to reports, some other occupants in the vehicle including friends of the deceased, were rescued alive. 

It was learnt that Ehis was a graduate of Building technology Hnd2, who passed out from the institution last year 2018 and was awaiting his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) this year before the unfortunate incident which claimed his life. 

His corpse has since been deposited at the mortuary while his injured friends are recuperating at the hospital.

He was hospitalized after being attacked at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ikeja on January 8.

The NURTW boss who has reunited with his family in America he is a citizen - recently paid a visit to the office of the Transport Workers Union of America (labour union). 

He was accompanied by one of his relations.

A boy from Kwara state, is making the rounds online after taking to social media to showcase his young lover.

The boy identified as Tunde shared loved up pictures of himself and his girlfriend on Facebook while publicly professing his love for her.

The pictures which have gone viral online - sparked different reactions from internet users, with some questioning the age of the "underage" couple. 

Despite backlash and criticisms from netizens, the boy who appears to be drunk-in-love seems unperturbed.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested six suspected Internet fraudsters in separate raids carried out at various times across a number of locations in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The suspects: Chemezie Valentine Ezeife, Onwochei Chibuzor John, Onwochei Joel, Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike, and Jude Olatekobowale, were arrested following a tip-off.

Ezeife was arrested on January 16, 2019 at the Life Camp residential area in Abuja, following intelligence reports of shady activities traced to him. Among items recovered from him were a Mercedes Benz C300, Toyota Camry and Lexus Jeep, Seagate hard drive, four laptop computers, an ECOWAS international passport, various wrist watches, two iPhones and blackberry phones, and a Samsung phone. Several suspicious emails were also traced to his account.

Investigation into the activities of another syndicate traced to the Nova Estate in Apo, led to the arrest of Joel and John (both brothers). John the younger of the brothers confessed that he got involved in Internet fraud as a student of the Delta State University.

He successfully defrauded one Miss Lynese from Zambia, using Facebook, in the guise that he was one Carlos Gomes, a British citizen. Among items found in his possession were an iPhone 6 and iPhone 7, and he confessed to having a landed property in Benin, Edo State, all of which he acquired for N1 million he made from Internet fraud. Two laptop computers, a white Range Rover Sport, white Mercedes Benz E350, and a grey Toyota Camry.

His brother Joel confessed that he got into yahoo yahoo through his brother, and asked him to teach him how to go about love scam.

“Thereafter, I tried to create an email account, but I was unsuccessful”, he said, adding that his younger brother bought him a wrist watch worth N6, 000, which he is willing to forfeit to the government, “if given the opportunity”.

The residence of a seventh suspect, Owootomo Tomilola Sunday, 22, was also raided at the Gwarimpa axis following tip-off of his shady activities, and is suspected to be into “Yahoo Plus”, also called “Wire Wire”. He is involved with hackers who compromise e-mail of multinationals and other prominent companies.

Among items recovered from Owootomo who is currently at large, are two Bugatti cars, a Mercedes Benz GLK, Mercedes Benz car, Porshe, $49,000 and duplex worth N300 million.

A young and gallant soldier has been killed while fighting Boko Haram insurgents at the battlefield in the northern part of Nigeria.

The soldier identified as Joel Miles, was killed recently in line of duty while purportedly making plans to travel abroad. 

A close friend of the slain soldier, shared a chat they had before his death, which revealed that he had been in the bush/battlefield for three years.

The soldier who said he's tired of his job, reportedly claimed that all his colleagues whom he arrived the post with - are dead. 

His corpse has been recovered and is set to be buried soon. May his soul rest in peace.

A woman has been paraded alongside other suspected criminal elements after being arrested by men of the Ekiti state police command.

The woman, Bola Obamoyegun whose two sons are currently serving terms in Ekiti prison, was arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting her third son identified as Dele, who is a member of a six-man armed robbery gang.

One of her two imprisoned children was arrested for kidnapping while the other was apprehended for armed robbery.

The police revealed that the robbery gang to which her third son belonged, also allegedly admitted to killing a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Michael Adedeji.

Charms, handcuff, weapons and other items were allegedly recovered in the woman's house as the police arrested her for being complicit in the crime (armed robbery) and receiving stolen property.

Various hoodlums including cultists, herbalist, armed robbers and others were also paraded at the police command.

A suspect was also paraded for armed robbery following his escape from prison in 2014.

A woman's suspicious movement gave her away after 'successfully' stealing a bottle of groundnut oil from a supermarket. 

According to Facebook user Stella, the woman had stolen the item and hid it under her skirt ( in between her legs) to avoid detection. 

It was gathered that due to the position of item in her body, the woman couldn't walk properly as her movement was suspected by the staff at the supermarket.

The woman was confronted and to the shock of everyone, the stolen item was found in between her legs. 

This is coming weeks two women including a nursing mother were recently nabbed in a women’s boutique after stealing clothing items and concealing them in their underwear. 

They were reportedly seen on CCTV by one of the staff who apprehended them and forced them to bring out the stolen items from where they were hidden.

A Nigerian man based in the United Kingdom has been laid to rest after passing away last month (December 2018). The deceased identified as Chukwudalu Ezenwa popularly known as 'abc Udor' from Orlu in Imo state, died at the age of 35 in the UK. 

Reports have it that Chukwudalu was building a huge house at his village and didn't have the opportunity to complete it before being snatched away by the cold hands of death. 

The deceased was buried on Sunday, January 13th 2019, following the arrival of his corpse from UK. 

The heartbroken brother of the deceased, Engr Francis E Francis, took to Facebook to mourn the loss. He wrote; 

Death you have cause me and my family a lot of harm, what have we done wrong? What crime have we committed? You decided to take away #myblooda brother who doesn't discriminate, a brother who cares about other people's feelings, a brother that has a large heart of giving.

I still can't control my tears. I never knew that the conversation I had with you on Sunday was gonna be the last time I will hear your voice. RIP big brother.

I will forever mourn you because you were a real brother to me. May the soul of my brother Chukwudalu and the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace Amen.
