#so after the success of ' Fate of Ada' story, I decided to put up another here to keep my readers busy and to appeal to them for staying away for so long! Booboo7 is back and she loves u like cray! #

SOPHIA :the story

Life as a child was beautiful , am the 2nd child and 2nd daughter of an average Nigerian family who luckily lived next to one of the richest men in the country! Here in Lagos, things were all in excess when it came to weather conditions and so was it on this day!

It was a rainy day, my mum and dad had gone out for a church program leaving me behind to baby sit my kid brother and sister as my elder sister had just been admitted into a boarding house for her secondary education.

Lamlam (my baby sister and second to the last kid of the family ) ran up to the kitchen were I was struggling with the big pot of jollof mum had instructed me to make and dragged me to the window

Lamlam : Sophie it's about to rain. Will the thunder eat mummy and daddy up?

I simply smiled and gave my 4 years old sibling a tight hug

Me: no Lamlam, daddy and mummy are way too strong for the thunder to swallow.

After cooking, I served Lamlam and Kito (pet names) their meals and I went off for my private pleasure!
On such rainy days especially when mum and dad are away, I'd get my swimming trunk and have a bath in the rain!
The fence between senator Linus' and our home had broken down about two years ago and he had asked dad to ignore it considering the fact that they had built that fence a whole lot of times and same results were always expected.

Don't worry doctor, after all u could take advantage and use my security to ensure your family's safety also, he had said. Against mummy's worries of problems emanating from sharing a compound with the senator, dad had relented and that was how it all became one compound.

I had my swimming pants on now and the rain was beginning to calm down but I wasn't ready to miss out of the rain bath today and so I ran into the rain. Screaming at intervals as the cold water splashed on my chocolate complexion skin and very curly dark hair. I felt my buttocks clap as I ran around the house with my little bowl in my hand hoping the cleaner and security man would stay away this time and give me a chance to stay happy without threatening to report me to mum and dad. I kept running around until I saw a faint figure walk towards me in the rain. It was Afam, the senator's nephew!

afam! What are u doing in the rain? Your mummy will kill you if she finds out o... I said

Afam is two years older than I am but was always shielded from the outer world except when he had to sneak out and play with me.

Afam: my mummy went out Sophia. See eh I came to tell you that we have some visitors in our house. They arrived today and they came with their son o... The boy don't even know how to play, whatever you do he will just stand there and keep mopping at you. I don't like him. Will you come and see him?

Me: eh is that why you didn't wait for rain to finish falling before coming to tell me?

Afam: by then my mummy will be back and I will be back under house arrest na

Me: OK! Oya I will come tomorrow or are they leaving today?
Afam; I don't think so. You promise to come tomorrow shebi?

Me: yes... Oya bye bye.


The next day, I got dressed in my Grey colored track suit and went over to Afam 's. I was welcomed as always by the kids and the compound and introduced to the visitor.

Hello, my name is Sophia, I live here (pointing to my house)
Visitor: hi am kevin

He turned away and walked out on us

This oyinbo pepper don't know us Sha. So he is too big to play with us abi? Mtchew I said to myself. I settled down and started playing puzzles with the other kids. Few minutes later, I heard arguments and struggling behind us... Lo and behold, Afam and Kevin were fighting over a Lego construction toy. We ran up to them and tried settling the argument but a fight broke out and Afam had the upper hand as he gave Kevin a dirty slap. I got angry that Afam wouldn't listen to me and went too far slapping our visitor who was now in tears and so I gave Afam a dirty slap and a push! At this point, Afam's mum screamed as she ran towards us. I knew I was in trouble!

With thanks to God, I've been able to start up a club for people who's gone through some real life experiences just for love so, am still trying to make up my mind on sharing their stories although I have their permissions already but a few of them is asking I write scripts instead and believe me, I know nothing about Nollywood so, lol am confused!! Jenny walked up to me.

Jenny: Ada please go after him

Me: no! Let him be... He needs to decide what he wants Jenny and I need to know which he values most, me or money.

Jenny: I know but you just pushed him hard

Mike: no baby, Ada was right. He needs to pick a stand

Jenny: OK oh. Am just scared hope he won't do anything silly sha

Later that day, I got a call from Henry

Henry: (almost screaming) baby where are you?

Me: am home.

Henry: at Jennys'?

Me: yea

Henry: please give me the address

I gave him the address and he was right on his way. About thirty minutes later he called

Me: hello

Him: baby am at the gate

Me: OK just come in, I'll meet u up

I had on a very revealing short dress so I picked up a scarf and used it to cover up, got my black beaded slippers and went out to trace him. He was unmistakable! My baby walked towards me like he was going to eat me up and then he picked me off the floor! I screamed excitedly.

He kissed me and then told me something that'll always be in my heart 'I choose you, I don't want anything else baby' I screamed and kissed him back!

Henry: show me ur door (still holding me)

Me: over there (I pointed)

He took me in and we kissed for a long time then he released my lips and looked into my eyes...

Henry: baby

Me: yes,

Henry: as we talk right now, Cassandra is out of our lives. I told her am madly in love with u and she got so pissed and threatened to ruin the contract and well now she's gone.

Me: am happy

Henry: you've taught me what love really is about and I can't thank u enough baby

Me: am happy you are back! I've really missed you baby

Henry: I missed u more! (he took my lips again)

What next? You better not ask me cos as I type this story with my wedding ring on my finger, all I can think about is how to give my baby (Henry) this + pregnancy test result which is folded right on the dashboard of my range Rover sport!

Me: Jenny stop!

Mike: hey you guys, am proud of you

Just then I remembered something. So I inquired...

Me: Henry am about to ask you a question and I want the answer right now and the truth is what I need.

Henry: ask me anything baby, am not gonna lie to you

Me: where is Cassandra?

Henry: she's home... Emmmm... Our home, u and I

Me: why?

Henry: baby its because of the contract OK, once we sign the contract, ama let her go

Me: no! I won't take that... I won't

Henry: baby my dad is gonn kill me if we loose this contract. I promise you in few days all this will be right behind us please

Me: Henry you'd have to choose between Cassandra and her contract and then I. Am not playing this game with you

Henry: baby please don't say that. Please

I freed myself from his hold.

Me: Baby I refuse to live the next few days in worry and emotional trauma. You want me, am here and you choose her, well you are free. Love is all about sacrifices and am sure I've proven mine somehow now it's your turn to proof. You love Ada, you let Cassandra go and if you don't, then give me the chance to love another.

On hearing this, he turned to face me. Looked me right in the eyes and asked a question

Henry: is this how you want me to show you how much I love you?

I said 'yes' so he walked out of the room.

Jenny: Henry! Henry where are you going?

Henry: I'll be fine Jenny

Then he left...

Me: Jenny how far na. Why you come DE run to pick call outside na? Who you dey jist with?

Jenny : Ada na wetin na. Na everything wey lovers the yarn you Wan hear? Amebo

Me: OK if na Mike then no p na. I think say you don dey play away match o

We both laughed as I went out for business. Shortly after I finished selling my last goods for the day, Jenny called

Jenny: babe how far?

Me: I dey o... I just finished selling my last wahala now

Jenny: OK which area you dey?

Me: utako

Jenny: ok come Mike house na. Him cook jollof with plantain and fish oh. He say make you come chop

Then Mike took the phone from her...

Mike: Ada come chop na, I cook jollof o. You know how ur boy the run the package na

Me: arggghhh the kind hunger wey hold me eh... Kai I dey road the come now now now

I boarded a cab to Mike's house in asokoro and immediately I got into the house, I was served my meal then I settled to eat (your girl no the waste Time with that combination o) I ate my meal and gave Mike a tight hug

Jenny: ehe so me wey call you nko?

I then gave her a tight hug also. As Jenny and I were talking about my business and how I could make it more successful, the door leading out of the sitting room to the balcony opened and in came Mike and Henry. I was so startled and speechless in fact I didn't realize Mike had slipped out of the sitting room at all. Before I could say Jack, Mike and Jenny left through the main door and locked us in. I went after them and tried opening the door but it wouldn't open.

Henry tried holding me but I wouldn't let him instead I went through the dining room to go into the kitchen and open the back door to aid my escape but the door was also locked.

Me: what is going on here? Please tell them to open the door

Henry: baby calm down please.

Me: Jenny! Mike!! Please open the door before I do something nasty. What's the meaning of this now?

Mike: Ada hear him out and you guys should settle whatever differences you have else, you will remain in there. Me and my baby done move

Me: Mike stop this now please

Just then, Henry touched me and I hit him real hard. He tried to hold me and I pushed him away

Me: stay away from me

Henry: baby I won't! I told myself that you'd either forgive me today or I face whatever it is I needed to face. So hit me as much as you can Ada but at the end it'll only fall back to one thing! You will forgive me you know why? Because we are both madly in love with each other and we possibly can't do without each other so please hit me harder so you can forgive me faster!

(he said a lot of things that weakened my nerves and I got calmer and calmer and I just stood there looking like a confused child)

Henry: (came closer and touched me then lifted my face to look straight into his eyes) baby please forgive me. I love you more than ever and am ready to pay for all I put you through all I ask for is just one chance... Just one more.

Me: (in tears) Henry..

Henry: baby, talk to me... Am here for you now

Me: we lost our baby

I held him tight as he kissed my hair... The atmosphere was filled with emotions and I couldn't resist his charm anymore. Our four eyes stirred deep into each other with tears then we got closer until our lips met.
Then Jenny and Mike opened the door and both came in and gave us a hug.

He tried holding me but couldn't get a grip. Then I stood quite a distance and asked him to stay away from me. I felt my emotional part was beginning to take a better part of me so I had to pour it all out.

Me: Henry please stay away from me. (crying) I don't want to die! You don't love me but I have a whole lot of people who still love me. My mom, Jenny and even Mike so please don't come back. I've had enough of you and your wealth, I've had enough of your class and your failed promises. I can't take it anymore Henry please I beg you stay away from me

Henry: baby no! I love you and you know it and am sorry about everything that happened

Me: I told you, you would hurt me but you said you wouldn't. I knew nothing about pregnancy but I carried the burden alone. I knew no love and care at that point just my mum, Jenny and Mike showed me that and now you are back because my baby is dead and you think my body is free again for your exploits well sorry... I will not give my body to anyone anymore it's already enough trouble to have lost my pride which I kept for so long to you Henry. It all ends there, I've had enough

Henry: baby please don't say that. OK OK OK I promise not to touch you or take advantage off your body if this is what you think brought me back to you Ada. I know you are mad at me baby but pls just give me one more chance and I'll make it up to you. Please!

Me: no! Not happening anymore Henry. You said you loved me yet you lied to me... I asked you back there in Paris who Cassandra was and u lied about it and just one week away was enough for you to bring her to Nigeria and bleep her all over the bleeping place. Am sick and tired of been betrayed and lied to Henry. I might not be the best you've met but I definitely did love you genuinely and didn't deserve all you put me through for Christ's sake I never asked you to give me this life

Henry: baby please

Me: I never asked you to get me out of crush meals or anything. I never seduced or forced myself on you so why did you show me love only to hurt me the most?

Henry: am sorry! I didn't mean it to happen that way baby please. Give me one more chance Ada please don't leave me. I've done you wrong and I don't have any excuses but please help me to right the wrongs baby please I know you hate me now but please just one more chance to prove that I meant everything I told you

Me: Henry in as much as I still love you and I think you are the best thing that ever happened to me, am sorry I can't date you anymore. I wish you luck

(I walked out on him.... In tears... Deep in my heart, I was heavy. I took a cab all the way home and didn't realize I had gotten home as I was in a deep thought. I still love Henry but I didn't trust him anymore. What would be the use of keeping a relationship without trust? I kept asking myself) he called severally that night but I wouldn't pick up

Jenny: Ada pick now, don't do that please. It's Henry o and I know you still love him

Just then, my tears began to pour.

Me: that's the worst of all Jenny I still love him. I don't want to love him anymore. I just want to put all this behind me

Jenny gave me a tight hug

Jenny: come here Ada you are too tender. It's OK

Henry kept calling....

Jenny picked the call

Jenny: Henry she's not in a good mood. Maybe you should call tomorrow...

Then she stepped out of the room with my phone and that was it. I slept off. The next day, we talked after our devotion and I told her I wasn't going to date Henry anymore

Me: I don't trust him anymore. If he travels out of the country now I'll be thinking he went to meet one of those akata

Jenny: Sweety trust is built now. He'll find a way to build the trust again.

Me: Jenny I already disappointed my mum earlier, I need sometime to figure out how to make her proud again.

Jenny: I don't get you Ada, if you don't want Henry back then why were you so concerned about letting him know you were Innocent?

Me: I don't know Jenny but now I am relieved and better.

Jenny: just think about this carefully. But me o... I still believe you guys can sort things out.

Two days later, I noticed Jenny couldn't make certain calls in my presence anymore...

Didn't realize I still had Henry's number in my head until I saw it on the screen of my phone as it rang. I picked on the second buzz.

Henry: hello

Me: hello, Ada on the line who am I talking to? (like I didn't know his number and voice)

Henry: baby its Henry. Errrrmmm.. Baby please I.... Please we need to talk

Me: about what?

Henry: it's serious (his voice sounded nervous)

Me: well definitely... am all ears Henry. (saying his name attracted Mike and jenny)

Henry: baby its not something we really can discuss on the phone. Please I need to see you

Me: am not sure about that.

Henry: baby please. I know am the last person you wanna see but please am asking you to give me a chance to see and talk with you. I can come over to wherever you are and get you

Jenny and mike nodded I gave him the chance to see me.

Me: you'd need to call back in 10 minutes

Henry: baby please don't switch off your cellphone. Please

Me: I won't. (then I hung up)

Jenny held my hand.

Jenny: Ada why didn't you tell him to come get you now? I believe you guys can just sort this things out

Me: Jenny please don't go there... The only thing that would have given me that thought was the baby and it's gone so

Mike: Ada just know we are right beside you in whatever decision you take. By the way, you need to talk with him. Communication is important give him a chance to atleast say sorry for all he did.

Then my phone rang.

Me: it's him

Jenny: pick na

I picked up...

Me: hello

Henry: baby please where are u?

Me: at the Galleria

Henry: silverbird?

Me: yeah

Henry: can I come get you?

Me: ok

Henry: thank God. On my way

In less than 10 minutes he was there so he called and we connected at the first floor. We stood there staring at each other across the hall for a while then finally met.

Henry: baby (he gave me a tight hug) are you here with someone?

Me: yes

Henry: will it be OK if I just take you away like that?

Me: yeah, I already took permission.

Henry: OK lets... Come with me

We drove out of the Galleria without further communications and straight up, he went to Jabi Lake. We got there and got really close to the lake then he made me sit down on a mould. He stood for a while sighing hard then finally knelt just right in front of me and bent his head on my legs. I felt his tears dropped on my legs as I was dressed in a short gown. Then the sob increased and I did nothing but stare into the lake... The pains in my heart grew.
Henry: baby will you ever forgive me?

He continued crying and held my legs tightly together

Henry: baby please... I don't have any excuses for everything I did. I cheated on you, I broke your heart and trust, I betrayed you, I walked out on you just when you needed me the most and I didn't keep to my promises. Baby you showed me so much love and care and I didn't give it back. (sobbed more) please forgive me. Am sorry baby please

Me: Henry get up

Henry: no... No. Let me stay this way

Me: I insist

Henry: baby please am sorry

Me: Henry, look OK this whole thing won't work

Henry: baby it will if you let it. Please! Please don't leave me

Me: am not with you Henry. Am not

Henry: baby please. Please

We kept talking and sobbing for a while then I told him I had to leave.

Me: Henry I need to go. I need to work in the morning

Henry: baby please.

I got up and made to leave but he got up and held me.

Henry: baby pls don't leave me. Please baby

Me: Henry I hold nothing against you. If I did, I wouldn't be here with you

Henry: I know baby. I need you back, my life have been a total mess without you. I don't love Cassandra it's you I want

Me: really? So what is she still doing in your house?

Henry: baby am getting a contract in her name from her dad's company and its massive that's why she's still there. I tried calling severally after the hospital thing and your number just wouldn't connect so I checked by the hospital and confirmed you had been discharged but today, someone called by my office to confess to everything that took place in the hospital and I had to get your new number from him and call you.. Baby I don't love Cassandra, pls don't leave me.

Me: Henry I need to go home (I turned and walked away)

He dragged me and planted a kiss on my lips. We both kissed each other hungrily, like we've missed it so much then I broke out of his grip.
