A7: If that's the only thing that stood out to you i pity your life. Tons of issues are discussed in that interview, vital issues essential for our transformation for the better, unfortunately your interests are inclined towards resisting change especially the positive kind presented by the Apc.
There are certain factors, like true state of things after taking over that will warrant modification of the manifesto if necessary, and before implementation some processess must be duly observed. To spealt it out bluntly for your stagnated mind, Apc do not limit itself to only campaign promises, they embrace positive initiatives and by extension all kinds of development.
So now as i wrote earlier "take the senseless bitterness and shove it down your b**t ". Listen to yourself: 'if that's the only thing that stood out to you'... isn't that enough to be scared about? |

Yes they need to reduce costs and if so you should advise political office holders to be paid on minimum wage scale and let them drastically reduce cost of governance. If not so, you're the real oponu! |

PassingShot: Nothing bad in scrapping the program if it's no longer sustainable.
It is a lofty program which was introduced based on certain conditions and if the new realities mean the program must be discontinued, so be it. Is this how we would be governed? Like 'if the new realities mean the program must be discontinued, so be it'? Just like that? This is really shameful. I just pray Baba Boohaha will not adopt this same model. Smh. |

Politics › Re: 4 Reasons Why Buhari Might Not Deliver by Borderless: 12:22pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
egift: All the unbelievers will be disappointed. From day one you guys have promised and projected one disappointment or the other, but Buhari has always defeated your negativities.
One the points you mention, here is my take:
1. His party: The APC is a party we all can see its origin and evolution. It grew from nothing and gradually/rapidly gain traction through deliberate efforts not accidents. The party was built from scratch. The PDP on the other hand was just put together in 1997 - 1998 and since then had never been tested. This is the time for PDP to start building their party for the very first time. Unlike APC, they don't have the will and enthusiasm. Just a quest to get power come 2019 (and if they fail, the rats will jump off the sinking boat faster than they came).
2. His leadership Buhari has proven time without number to be a man who can hold he ground in the face of any change. And being surrounded by people who also understands leadership, he will achieve a lot. Buhari have all the experiences and lessons he needs to succeed. Also he is free from greed, which the biggest factor that destroys many Nigeria leaders.
3. His precedent Before even taking this position as President, Buhari understands the problem facing Nigeria and the enormity of the challenges. Until Jonathan's 2015 New Year's message, GEJ did not consider Corruption a major problem. But Buhari since 2013 have insisted that if Nigeria will develop, Corruption must be tackled. While the expectations are very high, by running a transparent system of governance and making tangible delivery, Nigerians are very willing to be patient with him to deliver.
4. His popularity Buhari is popular among the masses because he understands and fight for their interest. In fact Buhari could have been president before now if he pursued the interest of the corrupt elites. In the north, despite the follower-ship among the people, their elites always frustrate him out just to protect their loot. With the masses behind Buhari and by delivering solution to the problems facing Nigeria, Buhari will leave a solid legacy as both President, Commander-in-Chief and Father of Nigeria.
Summery: The things you consider as setbacks for Buhari, is rather his driving force. I see a New and better Nigeria ahead. Sai Buhari. God bless Nigeria. Time will surely tell. |

omenka: Hehehe. We know better don't we? Okay. To start with, here are Omenka's suggestions:
1) Expedite the trial and prosecution of FFK and Okupe whose cases are still pending in courts.
2) Expedite action on bringing Alison, Uduah, Iweala and Mama Piss to justice.
3) Get rid of 90% of the presidential air fleet. 2 aircraft is enough.
4) Revisit the issue of security votes. Make it a criminal act for a governor whose state isn't in dire security straits to set aside more than 3% of their annual budget for security votes. Make it mandatory for the governors to account for that 3%.
4) Slash the number of presidential aides by half.
5) Deal ruthlessly with any group that threatens the sovereignty of Nigeria, be it Boko Haram, Massob, OPC, MEND or NDPVF. You forgot to add this: 6) Probe Amaechi, Tinubu and Atiku then send them into the lake of fire! |
