oluDharay: Thanks for your input. But sir, if I fail to get justice, due to personal interests of some people, don't you think this can lead to chaos in the party and causing factions like we all are seeing in our political world. You also said "Majority carries the vote" what is the purpose of the party constitution if it cannot be strictly adhere to? 😕 Every party has its constitution, and it is always used for resolving internal issues. But you know Nigerian politicians once they receive any bribe or huge promise from their political enemies to cause problems within their party, they will oppose even their own party constitution. The reason I said "majority carries the vote" is this take the National Assembly, for example, where lawmakers on some issues resort to voting people who agree say "aye," while people who oppose say "nay." And also remember you are always free to resign or leave the party if you feel your interests are not protected or will not be accepted. |
Politics › Re: Katsina ADC: Court Says It Lacks Jurisdiction Over Party Affairs by Borrow2222: 1:44pm On Apr 15 |
oluDharay: Good afternoon Mr Fergie001
My question is, if the courts have no jurisdiction on internal disputes in a party, how does an aggrieved party member get justice when cheated? Say for example, I am currently a chieftain/hold a post in a party, and then someone somewhere came to claimed that I am not supposed to be in such position as against my party constitution. How do I seek for justice? 😕 Good question. Political parties have internal dispute resolution mechanisms, so you’ll need to channel your grievances to the appropriate authority within the party. They’ll resolve the issues internally. And remember, it is a political party the majority carries the day. |

givedemwotowoto: “When Buhari came in, our borrowing was about N13 trillion; when he left, it was N87 trillion. Today, we’re hitting N200 trillion without anything to show for it. Subsidy has been removed in petroleum and power, and yet we have borrowed more. Our budgets are not financed. In the entire 2025 budget for capital projects, contractors are being owed.” — Peter Obi
Like PO said, we truly have a serious problem in Nigeria now. That APC still has supporters is what I don’t understand despite the glaring evidence of gross incompetence. |

grandstar: The exchange rate in 2017 was $1- N360
It is now around N1,400.
It being 4 times the price now makes sense.
Bit of good news. The government plans to reduce import duty on cars fron 70% to 40%.
This should reduce car prices by around 20%.
Lets do the maths.
Car cost 4m. Import duty at 70%. That is 2.8m. When you add 2.8m to 4m, you get 6.8m.
Vs
Car cost 4m. Import duty now at 40%. That is 1.6m. When you add 1.6m to 4m, that is 5.6m.
5.6 divided by 6.8m with give us 80%.
That means that the car price is now 80% of the former price. Most of the time, Customs and the NPA don’t follow any directives from the FG. They will still continue with the old tariff because they know nothing will happen. If you don’t believe me, go and price that car around August you will see that the price will even increase. |

Lexusgs430: Yes, you're absolutely right... But that tragedy would not be attributed to the illegality of that driver in question......
I hope you get the point..... A vehicle is deemed a dangerous weapon, if handled by unlicensed individuals...... You’re correct. But they are always quick to blame immigrants over an incident. Last year, a British woman was inhaling balloons (laughing gas) while driving, Not only did she run a red light, she drove straight on and hit 2 elderly people, killing them instantly. Why didn’t they blame all British women for that accident? |

Lexusgs430: When certain policies/laws are tweaked..... We are fast to blame others.....
At certain times, we unfortunately need to look inwards.......
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c87w4185zw8o As if people with a full UK driving licence don’t have accidents anymore. It is mostly down to the individual and not the licence, because someone with a UK driving licence can still be involved in accidents that result in loss of life. I’ve seen people run red lights. |

The INEC chairman, Joash Amupitan tweet in 2023 supporting APC below Honestly, the direction Nigeria is heading in is very alarming. The APC has severely damaged this country, possibly beyond repair. We must unite and vote them out. If they remain in power beyond 2027, Nigeria may be doomed permanently. |

Who will give Soludo the APC ticket? He thinks it's about running his mouth like a market woman. APC will remind him he's IPOB and can't be trusted. All the support Soludo is getting from APC is because he's criticizing PO. The moment he decides to contest for the presidency, they will quickly put him in his place. |

So far, they've only been able to recover about ten bodies. Many are still missing. Search for more victims in the bush is currently ongoing, as so many people remain unaccounted for. Casualty figures definitely expected to rise sharply.
Again?? I have honestly lost count of the number of people killed within one week. What is happening in Nigeria. |
