Winterhaven:So tomorrow, another group of bandits will kidnap schoolgirls again because they believe they’ll cash out from the ransom money, and people like you will be grateful that lives were saved and the cycle continues. So i ask you when will it now stop?. |
That’s not all. The judge who handed down that sentencing should be arrested. |
When discussing countries considered failed states, most Nigerians do not understand or refuse to believe that present-day Nigeria fits the definition. According to the term’s criteria: a failed state is a country that cannot fulfill its core responsibilities to its citizens or maintain basic governance, marked by: 1. Loss of territorial control: The government can’t enforce laws, collect taxes, or ensure security. 2. Breakdown of public services: No healthcare, education, infrastructure, or rule of law. 3. Widespread violence: Armed groups dominate. 4. Economic collapse: Extreme poverty, hyperinflation, dysfunctional economy. 5. Legitimacy crisis: Citizens distrust leaders; corruption is rampant. 6. International isolation: No aid, recognition, or trade. By this definition, Nigeria exhibits all these traits. So: Is present-day Nigeria a failed state? |
LordBiden:The way you guys talk, sef. He’s the GCFR for Bleep’s sake,he swore an oath to defend the country against both foreign and domestic aggression. Even if the kidnapping problem is caused by disgruntled politicians (which you said, and is obviously not true), it’s his duty to track them down, prosecute them, and jail them. The primary function of government is to protect the lives and property of its citizens. A government that fails in this has failed woefully on all fronts. You guys should stop making excuses for them. it’s crazy. |
adenigga:It’s because they’re not from the Southeast. |
cutievik:I don’t usually reply to you APC nitwits. In your tiny mind, do you think ISWAP doesn’t have this type of military gear? The use attack drones now.
|
EdonhappenTv:Wow. With this type of military gear, these terrorists can easily overrun any town within minutes. Nigeria is unofficially at war only a clown would think otherwise. Get ready, guys: winter is coming. |
HgAkpobomeEr:Didijiji Here’s an example of what I told you: the bot is discussing something different from the original topic, and the likes are also being artificially generated. |
Didijiji:Use simple Python programming, integrate the bot via this forum API, and assign tasks to the bot: read-only mode or read-and-reply mode. There’s a Python code for this if you’re familiar with coding. |
Didijiji:You’re replying to a bot. The bots were first launched during the election to help spread propaganda for the APC; they’re programmed and triggered by words like "APC," "Tinubu," "PO," "SE," "SW." They were later deactivated after the election, but it seems they’ve been activated again, this time because of the pressure on the Federal Government right now. Take time to study most of their comments—you’ll understand the pattern they were programmed with. |
Those nitwits are rejoicing over MNK’s sentencing without realizing that their country and their failed APC government is collapsing before their eyes. |
Fake Pastor. Only junkies listen to you. |
Nairaland111:You forgot to add that they’ll be in Nigeria laughing at you for doing a menial job abroad, but will come back and start asking you for money. Some will say, "I could never come abroad to work in this kind of place or do this type of job." Don’t even bother about them. |
SeverusSnape:You think they care about the country? Nah, they don't at all. All they care about is politics, nothing else matters to them. The killing can continue as long as their president is still in power. You can figure it out from his statement. |
Fake pastor . You can only deceive they gullible ones. |
Burob:Continue fooling yourself. Nigeria has less than 5yrs. |
Emotionss:Oil dey your head. Anyone that doesn't believe you is a f@@l. |
A 39-year-old senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who were declared missing in Ogun State, have been found dead with a mutilated body part at a suspected herbalist’s den in Osun, in what is suspected to be a ritual killing. Our correspondent learnt on Tuesday from a Facebook user, Ayomideji Solanke, who was privy to the incident, that the discovery was made over the weekend. Recall that PUNCH Metro earlier reported that 39-year-old Lasisi and her teenage daughter were reported missing on the morning of Sunday, November 2, after they left their residence at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and never returned. Oluwamayokun, a Superintendent Route Commander, is a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC hierarchy, responsible for overseeing multiple routes and coordinating strategic enforcement operations. The Ogun State Police Command had said that efforts by family members and colleagues to reach the officer and her daughter on their mobile phones were unsuccessful. Sharing an update on the incident on Facebook, Solanke disclosed that a family source had revealed that the remains of the missing officer and her daughter were found at a suspected herbalist’s den in Osun. Solanke wrote, “The mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Federal Road Safety Corps officer, SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her young daughter, Sewa, has taken a tragic turn as their remains were reportedly discovered in the home of a suspected herbalist in Osun State. “Fresh revelations emerged at the weekend when a source close to the bereaved husband disclosed that the bodies of the officer and her daughter were recovered from the residence of a traditional healer in an undisclosed community in Osun State.” He added that while the wife of the herbalist has been arrested, the herbalist has since been on the run. Confirming the incident in a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Tuesday, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, disclosed that the Osun State Command has arrested some suspects in connection with the incident. According to Ogunlowo, the Osun command also discovered some exhibits at the scene, which were suspected to be body parts of the missing officer and her daughter. “The Osun command has commenced investigation, and they have made some arrests. They found some exhibits that are body parts. “For convenience’s sake, Osun will be investigating the matter, and we will be lending the necessary support. The suspect is with them,” Ogunlowo said. This is not the first time a missing person has been found dead with a mutilated body part across different states in the country. PUNCH Metro reported on July 26 that the Ogun State Police Command investigated the death of a 16-year-old boy, Lawal Wahab, whose mutilated body was discovered days after he was declared missing. Wahab, who was living with his grandmother, was reported missing by his father, Lawal Olumide, before his decomposing remains were found on July 23 along the Old Express Road in Igbile-Ijebu. Similarly, in January 2020, the dismembered body of a business mogul, Ignatius Adunukwe, was recovered from a bush in the Ajah area of Lagos State. PUNCH Metro had gathered that Adunukwe was about to sell a landed property to some supposed buyers when he was allegedly kidnapped by the potential buyers, forced to sign some documents, and strangled to death. dgee1:Why won't they laugh? A fake pastor from SW said on live TV that Igbos are the problem of Nigeria. That means he's happy about what Fulani is doing in Nigeria, doesn't see them as a problem. So if SE folks are laughing, they're laughing at the stupidity of some SW people. |
When the news first broke out that an army General was kidnapped, some nitwits here and even the army quickly said it was fake news that the general returned back to base on foot. All the time used in spreading propaganda that it was fake news should've been used to deploy reinforcement and rescue the poor general. I think it's high time we, as a country, renegotiate our existence as a nation 'cause it's not working, and we can't continue fooling ourselves. |
Wait! Wait! But the APC government said it was fake news that the general returned on foot. What the Bleep is wrong with this government, for Bleep's sake? |
malali:Very intelligent opinion! Thanks! Thank God we still have people who are sound in Nigeria. If we complain about the rot going on nowadays in the country, they'll call you names and label you unpatriotic. |
Terrorists on Monday midnight abducted at least 25 schoolgirls from Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The terrorists also reportedly killed a teacher, Hassan Makuku, and local guard, simply identified as Ali, during the invasion. Locals told our reporter that the terrorists, locally known as bandits, infiltrated the area through Zamfara forests, and operated unhindered despite two military checkpoints near the school. “One of the checkpoints is in Damarke,” a source, who lives near Maga town, told PREMIUM TIMES. “It is under Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, and it is about seven kilometers from the school.” The other checkpoint, according to locals and traditional leaders who spoke with our reporter, is less than a kilometre to the school. “It is around Rabah junction in Maga,” a traditional ruler who pleaded anonymity for fear of being victimised, said. “The checkpoint is fortified with heavy military equipment including an armoured personnel carrier (APC).” The traditional ruler estimated that 25 students were abducted. “The school is a boarding school and they only kidnapped the 25 students from one of the many hostels,” he added. Attack could have been prevented PREMIUM TIMES spoke with two traditional leaders in the area and a resident of a nearby community. The community leaders said there was an intel before the attack and the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, instructed soldiers at the Ribah junction checkpoint to mobilise to the school. “The soldiers indeed went to the school and left around 12 a.m.,” one of the traditional leaders said. “It was after the soldiers left that the bandits struck.” The police, the military and the Kebbi State Government have not issued any statement about the incident. This is a developing story. PREMIUM TIMES is tracking the situation and will provide updates as more information emerges. ARISHEM:That's the sign of a dying nation. Everything, including institutions, will be collapsing bit by bit until it finally collapses. |
