The 2017 Edition of the MOBO awards has ended. It is held annually in the U.K. to recognise artists of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music.

Stormzy came out the biggest winner of the night, while Nigeria’s Wizkid pulled up a big feat, defeating the likes of Jay Z, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar and so on to win the Best International Act.

He was also nominated in the Best African Act category alongside Davido, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Maleek Berry, Wande Coal, Mr Eazi and more. Davido emerged the winner.
Big ups to both of them! And, of course, all the other winners.

Yesterday some beautiful pictures of Banky W and Adesua touring South Africa, visiting the Zoo were shared by the beautiful couple, and we all concluded they were on their honeymoon.
Apparently, they aren’t, as Banky has finally addressed the questions from fans who think his getaway with his wife to Johannesburg is their honeymoon.

Yesterday, there were pictures and video of Banky, his wife, Ebuka and some of his friends, visiting a Zoo in SA.. Then, a fan quickly called his attention and asked why he took all his friends with him on what’s supposed to be a honeymoon.
“It isn’t a honeymoon,” he replied the curious fan. “It is a bridal trip. Honeymoon is January.”

Now, it seems as if Davido is throwing shade to his counterpart, as he’s said he just “caught” one of his colleagues.
Davido took to his Snapchat to write; “Ahhhh… I don catch you… lmao… Stop buying followers… you know yourself…”
Though he didn’t mention names, but folks say his above post was a subtle shade to his biggest rival, Wizkid, whose latest single, “Manya” was recently yanked off from YouTube and Vevo.

Meanwhile, Davido, is currently Nigeria’s most followed celebrity on Instagram, with 5.3 million followers. He is followed closely by Wizkid, who has over 4.3 million followers.
Actress Funke Akindele-Bello, also known as Jenifa, follows the two musicians with 4million followers.

Libya’s UN-backed authorities said Tuesday that flights repatriating stranded migrants will be stepped up, as the International Organization for Migration called on Tripoli to empty its detention centres.
The plight of migrants in Libya has garnered fresh attention after an outcry over reports of slave auctions in the country, an enormous transit hub for sub-Saharan Africans seeking to reach Europe.
Human-trafficking networks have flourished in the chaos that followed a NATO-backed uprising which toppled long-time Libyan dictator Moamer Kadhafi in 2011.

In a joint operation involving the internationally recognised authorities and UN migration agency, the IOM, 140 Nigerian migrants were jetted out of Libya on Tuesday in the latest in a string of flights carrying migrants out of the country.
At the Tarik al-Sikka detention centre in downtown Tripoli the migrants received their temporary travel documents, clothing and food before being bussed to the airport.
Flights would increase from two to four times a week in agreement with the UN agency, he said, adding that some 9,700 people had been repatriated from Tarik al-Sikka so far this year.
The latest repatriation came as the head of the IOM called on the authorities in Tripoli to agree to shut down 30 detention centres holding 15,000 migrants.
“We need from the Libyans the agreement that we can empty these centres, and I think they will agree to that,” William Lacy Swing told a meeting of the UN Security Council.

The detention of the migrants, most of whom are fleeing poverty, has become a pressing issue since CNN aired video footage of an apparent auction of African men in Libya that sparked global outrage.
Libya’s UN envoy rejected the report of the slave auctions as a campaign to portray the country as racist and accused African governments of failing to take responsibility for the well-being of their citizens.

Contrary to insinuations that Wizkid‘s latest hit, Manya was taken down from Youtube for other reasons, it has been revealed that, the video was taken off his Vevo and Starboy accounts due to his contract with Sony.
The contract allegedly places a limitation on the amount of local content he can release.
This might explain why he didn’t release the video for Medicine featuring Flavour and Phyno,despite gushing over the video two months ago.
According to reports, the song, Manya is originally owned by producer,Mut4y of Legendury Beatz.It has now been removed from Wizkid’s account where it had amassed over 1.5 million views in a week. However, the video is still on Mut4y’s YouTube account where it has been viewed aover 80,000 times.

A big python met an end in the hands of a young boy said to be 13 years old.

The boy identified as Ifeanacho from Amankpu in Mgbakwu North reportedly killed the python with a cutlass.
