This is the first question

Dry steam at 100°C is bubbled into 500g of water originally at 20°C. What will be the temperature of the water after 30g of steam has condensed? Specific latent heat of steam is 2.26*10^6J/k, specific heat capacity of water is 4200J/Kg/k

And this is the second question

Calculate the total energy required to evaporate completely 1kg of ice that is initially at -10°C.
Specific heat capacity of ice is 2.2x10^3J/Kg/K
Specific heat capacity of water is 4.18x10^3J/kg/k
Specific latent heat of ice is 3.34x10^5J/kg
Specific latent heat of vaporization of water is 2.26x10^6J/kg..

pls

I know people would have advised you to opt for other option.

Physiology, biochemistry, nutrition and dietetic, public health are wonderful options you can explore.
oga Pes13
pls which course would you recommend for an Average student(65%)to study? my preference are
Medical laboratory science
Dentistry
Agricultural economics.
I scored 30* in jamb, and am very good in Biology, good in chemistry, and fair in physics.
I like health related course, but one that can put food on one's table in Nigeria's economy.
but I learnt UI has increased its tuition fee of medical students, which is giving me second thought of medical school (college of medicine as a whole)
that's why I chosed Agric economics.but I want to change to any of the above.
advice also needed from oda bosses and readers,I really need advice before i go for change of course on Monday.

Boss ke. I am your boy o. From V2=V1(1+gamma*change in tita) V2/V1=1+gamma*change in tita---eqn (i) Know dat volume is inversely proportional to density, we can say dat d=M/V where M is mass which is a constant. M=dV d1V1=d2V2 V2/V1=d1/d2 Substitute for eqn(i): 1+gamma*change in tita=d1/d2 d1=d2(1+gamma*change in tita) You can use d1 to rep density of mercury at 0degree celsius and d2 to rep density of mercury at 100 degrees celsius and at 22 degrees celsius. SOLUTION: By making d2 the subject of formula: d2=d1/1+gamma+change in tita d2 at 100^oC=1.36*10^2/1+180*10^-6*100=136/1.018=1.33*10^2kg/m3 d2 at 22^oC=1.36*10^2/1+180*10^-6*22=136/1.00396=1.35*10^2kg/m3.
thanks boss

(3) density of mercury at 100 degrees celsius=1.33*10^2kgm^3 and density of mercury at 22 degrees celsius=1.35*10^2kgm^3
boss could you make this explicit cause the answer I got is quite different regarding the powers of the answer,am getting mine in powers of four,
for 22°c I got 1.36"10^4…

and at 100°c 1.38*10^4

CHEMISTRY.

1) Which of the following is the relative molecular mass of a compound which has empirical formula CH2O? ..........
(A) 42
(B) 45
(C) 126
(D) 145
(E) 180

2) Which of the following terms indicates the number of bonds that can be formed by an atom?
(A) Oxidation number
(B) Valence
(C) Atomic number
(D) Electronegativity

Explanations will be highly appreciated!
1-E
2-B

oxidation number varies with each compound like in CO and in CO2(ii& iv respectively)
but valence is the number of electrons in the outermost shell of an element available for bonding
