That way, you don’t get bored doing it. It should really be what you’re good at and not what some other person like your role model is doing, as you may end up just copying him and not being original with your ideas… This will lead to you losing interest later on in the game.. And also if your subscribers notice this, they’ll unsubscribe and go to the original source 2 SET A TARGET AUDIENCE This involves you setting a targeted audience i.e. age group(kids, teens, adult) and then planning on how best to present your content to them. For example, Adults won’t like to watch a gameplay video with a voice over it. But teens and Kids will love it. Although many views will come from other age range, but most will be from that age group so you have to make it as friendly to the as possible to the age group. 3 SET AN UPLOAD SCHEDULE This involves you planning how many times a week and which day/days of the week you will be uploading your videos. This will give you a sense of commitment and will also help your subscribers to be active on your channel as they will know when next to expect a video. 4 BRAND YOUR CHANNEL Brian find your channel involves you making an intro video, Outro video, Channel Art and channel Logo for your channel. Intro and Outro videos are the short video clips that you see at the beginning and end of videos from well-organized YouTube channels. They bear the name of the Channel and also social media links. This can be done after creating your channel but it will help you get subscribers and fan much faster if you do it before creating your channel, as it will make your channel stand out from a thousand other new channels. 5 QUALITY MATTERS/BE UNIQUE This is overlooked most of the time by new Youtubers as they console themselves with the fact that their channel is just new and the quality will get better. Well it is true that the quality should get better with time but that doesn’t mean you should upload a 360p video when others are uploading 4k video quality. As people will just click away when they can’t make anything out of your video. Imagine someone making a Photoshop tutorial and the quality is so poor that you can’t see the pointer movement and position. Audio is much more important here. The video quality can be a little bit poor but your audio quality shouldn’t. 6 DO A LOT OF RESEARCH This involves you watching videos, reading articles and other things that may have answers to any question you have about YouTube. From how to record audio to the most popular video on YouTube. 7 SET A GOAL Finally the last thing here is to set a goal: How many subscribers do you want at the end of the year, or how many videos do you want to have at the end of the year. Stating this clearly at the beginning will give you something to temporarily work towards. And will also help your subscribers to assist you in ways they can. I’m not trying to discourage you with these points as they all can be done after you start up your channel. But doing it before, will do more good than harm. And also if you notice, most of the popular youtubers out there only became popular after they did these things.
