subbieD: Well,I concur only to some extent..... but u saying marriage is a prison is a No for me.before u can call marriage a prison,so many things must Aff bn considered. it can only b a prison If d woman is married out of her own will...den She's a prisoner because everyfin will b taken away from her; her joy, happiness, smiles, confident, everything Dat made her a woman she used to be....and Dat kind of husband can b called prison guard, one who punishes nd discipline d prisoner. But, when u marry right nd I mean marry right, u will still act single almost all d time, because u won't be restricted to somethings you are used to....because he knows Uve ur life to live. Fine some of d things u do as a single lady will b crossed ,definitely. A Gud husband will always help his wife anytime as long as he is available because he knows he Dint marry a slave ,but an helper. I knw of a couple Dat are Jst like lovely friends,d man acts like her brother ,friend to his wife ; Dats Wat is called Love.Wen u marry right, u can still hangout with ur friends, still go to Dat cinemas u love going, still have time for yourself because u are there to help...... I strongly believe marriage is more of mini heaven than prison 'when u marry right'....... Trust me |

Politics › Re: Why Can't The Nigerian Government Give Each Family 1 Million Naira? by BRAV0O(m): 11:21am On May 12, 2015 |
barcanista: Nobody spends billions of dollars on any amnesty. How much is our revenue btw? What percentage is shared among States, FG and LGAs that "billions of dollars" will be spent on militants? Please get figures right. Though I don't believe in the amnesty stuff, rather developmental and empowerment programs shd have been pursued-but NDDC is for such purpose and has been total failure. What government should do is adopt Fiscal Federalism/resource control to allow every federating unit socio-economic power to determine their growth and development. although I can't really state the figures being spend on those militant for amnesty which they are still spending any way that's non of my business, you no I was just thinking what if our govt can adopt any of those policy mention that's one of our biggest problem we never try anything that's why I won't support your stand on 1million sharing to all family , it could work ' in fact its like a petting change to support her family instead of all the lavish spending don't u think ? |

barcanista: America indeed have social benefit for its unemployed citizens and some group. These people are paid stipends monthly and not thousands of dollars. The beneficiary of the programs are very minute within the American economy. The Americans also has corressponding industries that produces goods and services plus they export some of these goods. What they do is that rather than give people money, they created conducive environment for investment and work, along with favorable policies to ensure that American citizens are employed. This results in productive society and increase in the quantity of goods and services in the economy. So whatevr stipends paid to those unemployed citizens, it doesn't yield to excess money in circulation with low quantity of goods in the market. In fact, the market still seek for more buyers because the quantity of goods to be supplied is more than those demanded within the economy, hence, they result to export.
UAE pays emirati citizens good amount of money. The UAE situation is such that it has sooooooo many investors and foreign workers engaging in productive activities in the country. In fact, foreigners are more in population than citizens. The government give out money to the citizens and some of them invests in the economy. Because UAE is productive and conducive for business, more and more goods and services are produced on daily basis, the people living within the emirate could not consume them all despite that government pays a section of citizens, hence, demand is lower than quantity of goods produced. They resort to export of their products and services.
Nigeria has no conducive environment. We don't produce but we import and consume. Our local market is not even enough to satisfy our local demands in this our present poor state, not to talk of when more money is in the hands of people. We have too many unemployed and under-employed. Adopting such policies is tantamount to economic suicide that may take 100years to recover.
You get now? yea I get somehow but I still won't join you to assume it won't work, nigeria is gradually going towards that state and more people are peddling such mentality day by day the way you actually explain america types of policy as if its not that important meanwhile is a kind of support from my own point of view and to think of it the reason why an average nigerian will not have access to some kind of support be it monetary fund or any kind of health benefit from the govt still baffle me" think of the billions of dollars spend on millitant for amnesty and with all your economist analysis what u don't understand is that the world we ar in is such an expensive world, the world is so expensive this days in such that given 1mill N each to every family won't still change anything to be realistic what kind of policy do u think nigeria govt could adopt in the absence of that ? |

barcanista: You don't solve economic problems by dashing out money anyhow. It's like this...
Money its a valuable means that is used in exchange for goods and services in an economy. Every goods and services have corresponding value of which the money is used in purchase. Now if you share N1m to every family with no resultant increase in the quantity of goods and services in the economy, you have a problem of high demand of goods/services because there is "money" in the system, but low quantity of goods and services to be supplied. Hence, the merchant will have no choice but to increase the cost of the goods and services, by so doing affordability becomes challenging for consumers despite having "enough" money. You have a situation of too much money in circulation with relatively low buying power. Oh bros, you have a difficult situation and an economic crises. In fact, the value of the country's currency will have no choice but to depreciate. The country citizens not only goes back to economic trouble, but a situation worse than what they were before the sharing of one million each.
Hope you get it? pardon me cus I didn't get it at all I don't no maybe other country are into such policy but in america each family get some amount of money every year from the govt both white/black including nigerian american self why as it not affect their economy? Better still some region family in nigeria which I won't mention are also getting some sort of allawee from federal govt. Pls explain to me becus nigeria will still get to dis one day forget about those saying lazing and don't want to work nd all sort of things, it will still get to the point that all nigerians will have dis op mentality, every1 will begin to demand their own shares from the treachery live and direct, when one minister will be banking 200billion naira and many more like that, I repeat I still didn't get why it won't work ? Tell me more pls |
