I have total of 20 ugu beds prepared and ugu seeds already planted on 2 plots of land right now while the remaining 1plot is yet to be cultivated due to unavailability of labourers to work down here .
Broad leave ugu pods on display.
Decided just this morning to check some ugu seeds i planted on a nursery bed from the 3,000 broad leave i bought last time. Discovered they have started sprouting already too and they are just 7 days today. Transplanted them already.
Planted just half rubber paint ugu seed about 2 weeks ago on one of my water logged land that i use for catfish farming . Checked it out today and discovered they have to start to sprout , as i was too busy preparing the 3 plots of land i intend using for dry season ugu farming. They have been transplanted on one of ugu bed i prepared.
So far was able to plant ugu seeds on 9 beds of 20x30 feet yesterday while i used 1 bed for nursery with the intention transplanting once they start to sprout and started irrigating immediately. Not through with all the remaining beds thou as labours said they need to rest for 2 days.

Work in Progress. If not for this perimeter fence that has been put in place here these fulanis would have been a serious threat here.
Work going on here.
I brought 3,000 broad leave ugu seeds today in Preparation for the planting this week.
So far i have been able to set fire on the dry leaves. Come tomorrow 26th Oct i will start to put the ugu beds in place while i work on seed planting.
I have been waiting for days now for the cleared bush to get totally dried so i can set fire on it before doing ugu beds but it rained today again. Will have to wait for like 2 to 3 more days before i can set fire. Planned on doing 12 ugu beds of 20 feet x 30 feet on each plot of land Which will make up 36 all together for the 3 plots.
Do you still need them? Let me know as i can work on helping to send them to ilorin for you. Check my signature for my contact . sammywyse: |
