Be careful of the date else you will NEVER be able to bring her in. You would have admitted to something changing at the port of entry then. Seek profession advice from immigration lawyers there brah. EglintonWest: I am new here, wish I came across this site sooner, I have an issue and I need advise on the best action to take,I putting my application for PR on the 5th of December 2017, I got my PR through the CEC on the 18th of February 2018 but before that, I went back to Nigeria and I did a court wedding Dec 26, 2017 thinking after application, status change won't matter and I can sponsor my wife (grave mistake)whenever I get my PR. Got PPR request on the 3rd and out of fear of what might happen, I did not declare my status has changed (dumb move) .
Now I am thinking of sponsoring my wife to come but I am skeptical cos of the date on the marriage certificate (Dec 26) wont tally with my status as at when I got my PR (Feb 18), so am thinking if its a good idea to go ahead and sponsor her without minding the date or see if she can get in with student visa or if there is another way to change the date at the registry in Nigeria, bottom line is I need advise on whats best for me cos its giving me sleepless nights. I should have declared when I had the chance but that's past now I just need a solution, please help a brother out... |

FSWP 2014...it was paper based. They wrote to me that the number on the company letter head carried my name...maybe they used Truecaller.I registered the company line based on my oga's directive as it was a new branch in my zone. For the cashless wahala, they wanted to see the money in my account but I was cashing over the counter and they sniffed some lies as it was impossible to cash such amount over the counter due to the policy hence our defense that the policy wasnt in effect during time of consideration. MacShiff: Congrats.
Is it a paper based application and how did you know they confirmed registered line of your former place?
Please help buttress the part of cashless policy. |

It was a long and tortuous journey. It all started in 2014.I sent in application in dec 2014 and they started processing in March 2015.There were long pauses and in between and various forms had to be updated.Police report was done twice and some affidavits. They even went to the point of checking the name on the registered line of my former workplace. They also picked salary payment claim of my former place of work stating that I couldn't have been paid over the counter as the CBN cashless policy didn't allow that.A 45-paged defense had to be done quoting several publications per NCC and CBN supporting my position.Cashless policy was first run in pilot phases and later suspended in some areas. My state fell in this category. In all,God showed himself mighty. Passports arrived on Monday....2014-2018...can anyone beat that? |

I surely can't get 5months. Let's see what 1month and 2weeks can get Many thanks vickyehi: It depends on how early you book your flight .....if booked 5mths early Ethiopian was like 278k (one way). Air Marco was also in the same range. But it can go as high as 800k to 1m plus for some airlines if booked within a week or 2. |
