Akeredolu is just being smart. He would not dissolve them so as not to create imbalance in the polity. He simply approached the courts.

If he wins, he is seen as being a law-abiding governor and will gladly conduct another LG election.
If he loses, his teeming supporters waiting for what to eat will not be disappointed in him. They will only hold the courts and constitution responsible and not Akeredolu.
