Salary arrears: ASUU commends
FG on payment
Ibadan – Dr Segun Ajiboye, the
Chairman, Academic Staff Union of
Universities (ASUU), University of
Ibadan chapter, has described the
payment of lecturers’ five-month
salary arrears by the Federal
Government as encouraging.
Ajiboye told journalists on
Thursday in Ibadan that the federal
government had with this started
implementing the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) reached with
the union.
“It is encouraging that the salary
arrears have been paid to
members, and I believe this cuts
across board.
“Right now, members are ready to
go back to work. We however
expect government to be sincere in
fulfilling other aspects of the MOU,’’
he said.
Ajiboye expressed optimistic that
government would not go back on
the agreement.(NAN).

Handedness of
Presidents of the United States
Of the seven most recent U.S.
presidents, four, including Barack
Obama, have been left-handed,
while a fifth is said to have been
ambidextrous: Ronald Reagan,
who was left-handed by birth,
[36][37][38] became president
after he defeated left-handed
candidate George H. W. Bush in
the Republican primary election.
Four years earlier, Reagan had
lost the Republican presidential
primary to incumbent left-
handed President Gerald Ford.
George H. W. Bush succeeded
Reagan and later ran for re-
election against left-handers Bill
Clinton[39] and Ross Perot.[38]
Clinton's second term opponents
included Perot and Bob Dole, who
had become left-handed when
his right arm was paralyzed in
combat 50 years earlier. Left-
handed then-Senator Obama
defeated left-handed Senator
John McCain in his race for the
presidency.[40] Including the
2012 campaign, the last time the
United States Presidential Election
featured no left-handed
candidate from a major political
party was 1972.
Nairaland / General / What Are Ur Good/bad Experiences As Left Handed Person? by Brightid(m): 5:27pm On Dec 15, 2013
Left-handedness is less
common than right-handedness.
Left-handed people are more
skillful with their left hands when
performing tasks. Studies suggest
that approximately 10% of the
world population is left-handed.
there are some speculations dat left handed Persons are very clever/brilliant and skillful...am a left handed person and am very proud of it,i have had some good and bad experiences as a left handed person
*bad*a soldier man almost beat me up for paying a driver with my left hand?
*GOOD*whenever I use of my left hand, some Peeps always like it and dey sometimes want to learn more about me(my skills and cleverness)
so what are ur good and bad experience as a left handed personpls dont derail d tread

Sports / WC 2014 Brazil;the Qualified Nations by Brightid(m): 7:53am On Nov 21, 2013
Nigeria, France, Portugal & the
nations that have qualified for the
World Cup
these are all the 32 teams
that will battle it out next summer
for the most prestigious prize in
football
Nov 21, 2013 1:00:00 AM
With the
completion of the
European and
African play-offs, as
well as the
intercontinental
ties between New Zealand and
Mexico, and Uruguay and Jordan, we
now know the identity of every
participant in the 2014 World Cup.
Tuesday's games saw Portugal book
their ticket for next summer's
tournament at the expense of
Sweden, as Cristiano Ronaldo netted
four goals over two matches to help
his side to a 4-2 aggregate win.
France, meanwhile, completed an
impressive comeback at the Stade de
France as they beat Ukraine 3-0 to
overturn their 2-0 surprise loss from
last Friday.
Elsewhere, Croatia eliminated
Iceland as they recorded a 2-0 home
win after a scoreless draw in the first
leg last week. The final European
ticket went to Greece, who sealed
qualification with a 1-1 draw versus
Romania after a 3-1 first-leg victory.
In Africa, Nigeria became the first
team to make it to next year's finals
as they beat Ethiopia 2-0 at the
weekend to make it 4-1 on
aggregate. Cote d'Ivoire also
booked their ticket on Saturday as
they held Senegal to a 1-1 draw
following their first-leg win.
On Sunday, Cameroon qualified with
a 4-1 home win over Tunisia, while
Ghana eliminated Egypt 7-3 on
aggregate despite their 2-1 defeat
on Tuesday. Finally, Algeria sealed
their World Cup berth following a
1-0 home-win over Burkina Faso
that saw them qualify on away
goals.
Wednesday's intercontinental play-
off between Mexico and New
Zealand then saw the former
become the penultimate team to
reach next summer's tournament. A
4-2 away-win more than proved
enough after a heavy 5-1 victory in
the first leg.
Later in the day, two-time
champions Uruguay were
surprisingly held to a 0-0 draw by
Jordan in Montevideo, but still
cruised through 5-0 on aggregate to
become the 32nd and final side to
qualify for next summer's finals in
Brazil.

Right now, I don't know if it's a mechanical or human problem? Are those PHCN workers sabotaging us because some of them haven't received their severance pay?

What's the power supply situation in your area at the moment?
