earthgreeners: In addition, you should consider 3things ; ranking, Tuition fee and cost of living before applying to a School....MUN is cheap and very competitive, d province of Newfoundland and Labrador has a reasonable living cost so is other province like Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, manitoba, quebec etc. Before you apply, ensure you meet the requirement for the course and Market urself well with ur SOP just as mercylicious said. Also check to see if u meet requirements for funding and awards cos some universities offers partial scholarship to students with good grade,...Early application might give u alot of advantage...

Allow enough time to apply for Visa (Atleast u should apply 4months before your start date) i.e those willing to start in Fall of 2013 should apply for visa btw March and May, 2013.....
visit www.canadainternational.gc.ca for more on study visa application..download the checklist on the Nigerian page for list of documents u are required to prepare for submission.

funny enough cost of living wen it comes to accommodation from wat all my friends have told me is basically the same around....the difference is based on the Tate of individuals...

Cool but someone like me intends applying this year for 20113fall in MUN

If ur Masters is course based I dnt think u need to bother yourself about the supervisor...
But If research based, they usually advise u contact one of their faculty members whose interest is in line with urs...Norwithstanding, If u are unable to get response , u can go on with ur application.
In that case, they would pass ur file round to match u with a supervisor based on ur research interest stated in ur letter of intent. At this instance, ur chances of getting admission are narrowed...
It all depends on the Department u are applying to....[/q

Yes yes ur very on point....I see your very comfy with MUN...but you prefer Dallhousie Halifax.....
