Why do you want to jump off the rope before getting to the end. You will only fall into the marshes if you do.

The fact remains that AD or ACN or whatever did not have any influence beyond Lagos at the time obasanjo was in power in order not to undermine him. What you see today,  ACN weeping up ethinic sentiments and winning is very easy.

Have you wondered at the decline of ANPP inthe north with Yaradua coming to power.

The north inspite of their zoning clamour have carefully divided themselves between PDP and CPC in order not to lose any opportunity.

In the SE, we are either supporting GEJ and getting our demands or we are not. Choice of GEJ from the minority side of the East is a tricky one, cause if we rejected him, we would have burnt PDP and found ourselves struggling to build a new structure that will not grow beyound our ethinic borders and will not win any national position.

It is very easy to weep up ethnic sentiments and proliferate APGA in the South EAST. But that has never been our style of politics. Zik and co never played in such a way that they were not in the main stream politics, we have not gotten what we want from Aso Rock, hence we can not let PDP die. Strengthening APGA , means killing PDP, cause our friends in the North and West will only be too happy to aid in the burial. It will eliminate the incumbency advantage and mass appeal in PDP, and give them a quicker second shot at presidency or vice presidency for SW at best, when we have not even had one shot.  

Do not be decieved, nobody will ever rule Nigeria under ACN, APGA or ANPP. This journey by ACN ends in the west. three or four terms from now, we will do same in the SE with APGA. Stop crying like the berieved our strategy is fully on track.

Let me also add the prediction after GEJ term, PDP will be sweeping the North like fire and CPC will decline dramatically. To what extent we control the machinery then and make a bid for presidency or vice will be determined by the extent to which we entrench ourselves in the party now that the North and West have weakened their hold. Before the next two years is over OBJ will be gone as PDP BOT chairman, who replaces him?
