if we don't honour Mary we will still go to heaven(remember that heaven is to the pure in heart. Even heathens can go to heaven)... But remember that even if you don't greet your mother after eating a meal it won't stop them from giving you food next time and you will always greet because it's a honour and a tradition too.... We as Catholics don't make our prayers through Mary....
