We are literally funding their operations with ransoms and rehabilitating terrorists that have killed Nigerian soldiers and citizens alike and you expect the Army to not be demoralized

What some of us are saying is with the current manpower and funding we have, we are doing so little to end the situation. And it's corruption that is our MAJOR problem, not Chad or Niger.

Russians and Americans has been in syria for years yet nothing to show for it.

Conducting a research on that topic will not only be herculean but more importantly, dangerous and can lead to the death of the researcher if he wants true/ real data. The level of corruption in Nigeria which is buttressed by the situation in Bayelsa is despicable and without transparency you can not get real data to make a conclusion especially when the departments with the data know the purpose and consequence of such research.

What business does a governor there have with not paying salary? Just imagine. That state is supposed to be the best state in Nigeria. All there past leaders are supposed to be flogged.

Although, Sanwo olu has fixed from Okoko to the Agbara bridge. It's very very motorable now.

The road is under construction currently, but it's more than 11 years now.


I stay there sometimes. If I want to leave for the island, I am already at the bus stop by 4 am(yes, you see buses and people then), or I drive out by 4:30am. I would be getting to Mile 2 by Quarter to 6, or later .

Leaving Badagry is not really the problem. It's returning at night that has headache. You can spend 2 hours just at Iyanaoba alone[/color]

If you follow my posts closely, you will note that I am not one to defend Nigerian politicians, but in this case, I will respectfully disagree with the embolden. Ambode worked wonders with road infrastructure in Lagos, particularly, the mainland. I visited home 2 years ago and to be honest, I was amazed at the number of roads/ bridges this man had constructed in such a short span. The more impressive thing was the quality of these roads!! Everyone I spoke with including Uber drivers, local chiefs/ landlords, market women acknowledged Ambode's strides even though they accepted he will not return for a 2nd term.
Lagos was dirtier than I had ever seen with refuse dumped along major roads and that was because of the politics that was being played with waste management so I did not really blame him. He may have failed in other areas but calling his tenure a disaster is not a true reflection of what I saw when I visited home. Again, I hold not party affiliations in Nigeria and could care less about any Nigerian politician.

I guess I should have worded that better. Majority of the blue buses Ambode bought were “wasting” away for the most part of Ambode govt. The blue buses are not under the BRT scheme, they are under the Lagos Bus Service Limited (LSBL). In fact the blue buses don’t run on the BRT lanes.

Most of these buses were meant to run from the Terminals that were being built and only Ikeja Terminal was completed and even that was later pulled down by Ambode govt himself.

if for every 1billion stolen, they build a hospital, school, build bridges, etc. I won't have a problem. Think of any state in Nigeria, think of the allocations they have gotten since 1999 and compare what you have on ground

Even Pastors I don't mind them stealing or jets, but for every 50 congregation church which we have to deal with the noise and social inconvenience, build a borehole, for every 500 congregation church build a community hospital, for every 2,000 build a standard top class hospital.

It is sad, when you go back to a place you left 20yrs ago and the only difference would be more beer parlors, gambling kiosk, The road havent been upgraded, the schools are all falling, hospital no touch of improvement and you have had 5terms of LGA chairman, governor and president in those 20yrs
