Politics / Re: Document Indicts Rotimi Amaechi Over N96 Billion Corruption by bros12345: 6:27am On Jan 13, 2016
Amechi was corrupt while in PDP. Now that he is in APC, he is no longer corrupt.

For example, if Olisa Metuh decampes to APC, he will no longer be corrupt.

Thats the way it works. In fact, no one has seen this document.

You cannot detain a suspect for more than 48 hours without taking him to court.

BTW, the EFCC/DSS are mesmerizing Buhari's administration.

Next in line is Fayose, Fani Kayode, Mimiko, Wike, and other PDP men.

Those of you trying to deny this information should do yourself a favor and read the budget from the link. On page 6, its clearly stated, Purchase of BMW Salon cars - 3,630,000,000.

That's 3.6 billion to buy BMW cars, not even our Nigerian cars.

I stopped on page 6. Let me pray and prepare for 2016.

Politics / Re: FG Will Borrow Internationally And Locally To Finance 2016 Budget – Kemi Adeosun by bros12345: 4:16pm On Dec 18, 2015
PapaBrowne:
Apparently we have the wrong Finance Minister.
In times of Economic crisis, you need the best of heads and this lady doesn't appear like one of them.

Borrow locallyThe question is when the local economy is comatose, how would the populace buy bonds to borrow the FG money. You buy bonds when there is excess liquidity and you want to save long term. There is no money in the system, hence there is gonna be little or no investment in bonds. Worse still, Nigeria has been taken off the Emerging Markets Bond Index, so no Foreign money coming into our bonds. When that happened, the FG said, to hell with JP Morgan.

Economic management is the job of an Economist. This lady, although with a basic education in Economics is an Accountant by experience and nothing more. The ministry of Finance manages our economy. She would have been better off as an Auditor General. Financial Management in economic terms is a totally different ball game. And bad enough, her highest degree is a Post Graduate Diploma.

You set out a 6 trillion Naira budget with an oil price benchmark of $38 when oil is trading at $36 and going downhill. First error.
You decide you will raise a chunk of you finance form custom duties and taxes. You fail to realise that because the economy is weak and dollar rate is high, there would be much less importation, hence reduction in your income from customs.
Also you forget that taxes are on profits, so with a weak economy most companies would declare losses which means they would have no tax to give to you.

I fear for Nigeria. APC has already started out on a terribly wrong footing. First it appear to have no direction at all. And secondly it has the wrong kind of people running its affairs. In a time of crisis, you need the best brains AND especially those fit for purpose. Kemi Adeosun is not capable of running our economy especially in a time like this.

Two bottles of Origin for you my friend.

These are the kind of constructive comments that are needed on a site as big as nairaland. But what you get is people chanting first to comment, wailing wailers, etc.

Agreed, PDP did not do well, we have accepted that fact. But isnt it time we now move forward.

9/11 happened in Bush time, a republican, but Obama, a democrat, was the one who killed the nigga, Bin laden.

What is the way forward? Thats what we are looking to see every day from the men that is at the helm of affairs, but it looks like with each passing day, they show us they do not even know how to get us going, hence they return to the template.

"KEEP NIGERIANS BUSY DEBATING THE FAILURE OF THE LAST ADMINISTRATION WHILE WE HOPE AND PRAY FOR A MIRACLE SOLUTION SOON"

It is well

Dont worry. Buhari if pighting kworuption.

These guys dont know that you dont just create news to divert people's attention on what is really happening. The next news you will hear is that GEJ stole 200 billion dollars, that's why naira is depreciating.

Instead of assembling the economic team and asking serious questions on what is happening and the way forward, these guys are using media to rule and diver attention.

No problem. I pity these youths on nairaland who have no job, fighting over first to comment, biafra protest, shites protest, etc, instead speaking out and holding these leaders to account

Whats the use of this kind of childish threads? Are you not fomfortable with the so called decorum that the anti biafra campaign has achieved on the forum. Or is it that you will rather find a way to run your mouth and drag the Igbos into everything that conjures in your brains. Did you see Igbos in your dreams as giants giving you sleepless nights.

These are the kinds of threads that shouldbe deleted.

And for the records, no one supports your olden days army shooting unarmed civilians. Why dont you address your Buharia instead of dragging Igbos in your discussion.

This doesnt make sense.

Nnamdi Kanu's detention is what popularised this IPOB/BIAFRA thing. Many Igbo youths just became sympathetic to the guy's arrest and cause. The protests are not organized like one that has a sponsor/sponsors.

This is just an excuse to further hound GEJ's administration.

But guess what, instead of this arrest to quell this protest, it will rather aggravate it.

Nigeria is indeed very close to becoming a militarized state.

Politics / Re: Onitsha Protest: Arase Orders Arrest Of Pro-biafra, MASSOB Agitators by bros12345: 12:54pm On Dec 02, 2015
This whole crisis is very avoidable. I am an Igbo man, I do not support IPOB secession protest. But the way I see it, this is going to escalate nationwide.

Shooting this people will not stop the protest. They will only look for weapons and start retaliating.

Beyond the secession threat, what we want is to sit down and discuss the inclussion of the Igbo nation in this govt. Playing blind eye to this [protest is a big mistake by this administration.

Let me give you an idea. It may get to a level where the IPOB guys will start burning trailers and may even burn some mosques. Then the northern youths will start retaliating, burning down churches, and by then, blames will be going up and down. And if care is not taken, the whole nation will be in turmoil.

Some of the so called leaders re just kids who still need direction. If someone of Yerima status can state something like this then his brain should be checked. The main question is why this so called agitation were not in place during GEJ era when igbo were at the fore front of this government. As well, no one is saying igbo should not be on their own. But any region that want to bring down the well being of this nation need harsh treatment. I agree that south east can stand alone cos they contribute little or nothing to this nation but bringing any part of the nation for their agitation is total war. I wish to state that Nigeria will not condone any act that may destroy the unity of our great nation.

First time these pot bellies are making sense. I am a full bloodied Igbo man, from Isiokpo, Ideator North. I wholeheartedly believe that dialogue is the way forward. We should now discuss issues that we want dialogued which will include:

1. Upgrading of all SE airports into INTL standard.

2. Construction of all SE federal roads.

3. SEA port in Onitsha

4. Release our son and brother Nnamdi Kanu

5. etc.

All of the above and more are non negotiable.

But because this stakeholders stuff is led by Rochas, I just dont trust him.

OP, sorry about your situation.

Let me tell you my story. I actually stopped e-currency exchange business because of a situation like this. I had to close my e-currency exchange website, www.flashkobo.com.

I can authoritatively tell you that you are dealing with a fraudulent client. Yours is still better for now. In my case, I was arrested and EFCC invited me and I did go and explain to them my side of the story. But you know the emotion and all the other expenses involved, so I closed the business and now focus on other better stuff.

Let me advise you what to do.

1. Be prepared with all your documents as you have showcased above. I can tell you that you might still be arrested. And the biggest problem you have in police station is that those police men do not know what bitcoin, perfect money and payza, etc is. So as you keep trying to explain to them, they'll keep believing that you are a yahoo boy. Its a pity.

2. Now that you are on the reporting side, get a lwayer asap. let him write to the bank, copied to the police, the client, and his bank. This is the only way you'll be on the attack side. If the bank call the police before you, forget it, you'll spend more money.

Once again, I am very sorry for what happened to you. I am talking from experience. Nigeria is a jungle.

cheesy cheesy cheesy grin You really believe 105 trained soldiers are missing?

As for the missing girls,a lot has already been said about them.

I guess we all have a final say if and when sambisa is destroyed.

Exactly, what I'm saying. Thats the thing.

"How can you believe such nonsense"

"It happened"

We are back at the arguing point. This was what the past administration did.

Guy, we are talking about soldiers. This is war.

The C-in-C must come out and speak like one. If its fake, great. If its real, then bombs should be reeling sambisa by now. But we must hear from the president with immediate effect. A strong warning signal must be sent.

History will repeat itself if we do not learn from the past.

GEJ's major attack point was not addressing the issue of missing girls like a president. Buhari is now falling into that same trap. And we citizens have resorted to abusing ourselves,

"Its real"

"How can it be real"

"No one is missing"

"Its propaganda"

"Shut up, it happened"

That is what we are back now doing.

Our president must come out and address this matter. He must address the nation and speak like a general. If not, by the time we are done arguing and quarelling on nairaland and social media, this administration would have lost its remaining goodwill.

Let me be straight. In a case that involves 100 soldiers of my country, if we are still quarelling over PDP and APC, then we are of all nations most miserable.

Soldiers. Thats what we are talking about.

Kill a civilian, its a different ball game. Kill a soldier...that is war.
