Hi, everyone just got a message that our passports is on transit from the consulate to the visa application centre. What does this mean? and also do they notify you of what their decision is?

Firstly they can't issue you a fake yellow card vaccination at port health. That is the designated yellow vaccination for visitors into Nigeria who require yellow card vaccination. Like i said it is #3500. Go with your passport.
Secondly i used my bank statements just write a letter of sponsorship stating you are the bearing financial costs for everyone on your trip addressed to the SA embassy.

For jobs i really don't know. I work remotely and this trip is mainly for my wife and child. Shes going to culinary school while i visit from time to time not live there for now. If you or anyone requires my help just send me an email message via nairaland. I read my mails so i would respond.

Yes they require your passport at the port health vaccination. For passport photograph go on the vfs south africa website and see the specifications. It has to be a white background. You can use your ruler or tape to measure the length or breadth. Or give the photographer the specifications. South africa uses same passport specifications as nigeria but the background has to be white. Please if you value your sanity just do everything from home. Gather all your documents, all photocopies and just go there submit and leave.

Pls how about there photograph requirement do they accept the one you snapped from home?

Or do you have the idea of there price for photograph because sometimes if snapped from home they may not accept it

Collect your yellow card vaccination at Port health Authority just by the airport toll gate when going to MMA2 local airport. It is #3500 per person and for children they dont require just show immunisation card. The new immunisation for kids covers yellow fever. Yes you can collect your documents when it is ready at the vfs office. We chose sms so when its ready they would let us know and we would go there. Also when applying if everyone is applying under same catergory like visitors apply as a group on vfs so all your documents are kept together as one and then only one consular officer attends to it. It is better that way and faster since you all share same documents like bank statements and others

2) Please do you know if they have documents collection center because I don't want to pay for courier service I want to come and collect my document by myself when it is ready for collection

If you are going for less than 90days then the certificate is valid but if more than 90days like us then you need to have it stamped at the ministry.

The wedding certificate issue by local government is it stamped and signed by lawyer? And they still turned you back at the day of appointment


Because I mail there customer service and they told me that they will accept the court marriage affidavit issue by badagry high court, how true is these?

I hope is not a decieve so that they can turn us back on the day of appointment ,and the appointment fees will be their benefits

Yes your account. balance is sufficient. What they require is consistent inflow and outflow of cash. As for the center please u beg you print all your documents before getting there so all you need do is submit and get the hell out of that place.

I will be applying with two accounts personal account and business account,the personal will have 5m closing balance is it okay to sponsor 4family?

The business account is the account I registered with my POS and carry company name,base on daily transaction, because we do POS withdrawal business, if I printed for 3months with a balance of 5m, the pages will be up to 100pages,I hope this will be okay?

2) Is the Vfs office has documents collection center?

for study it is #37000 for accompanying spouse and dependant child it is #10400 each and that was all. Got a refund of #79686 today

At the VFS office they said it has to be signed by the ministry of foreign affairs. We also had done a court wedding at lagos state local government registry.

Going to Abuja or having someone will be stressful, I have court swan marriage affidavit issue by Lagos State high Court,give me the phone number of there costumers service,I want to confirm from them if they will accept Court marriage affidavit.

What you need to do is look for someone you know in abuja or you go there yourself to the federal ministry of internal affairs. Print your marriage certificate and then take it there. They would help you sign two times at the bank and stamp it thats all.

We didn't. We arrived early infact they tried to put us in premium we refused. They said do we want courier service we refused and still they added it to the total bill. The only charge we wanted which was sms was removed and not added. Why would you courier me a service when i live within close proximity to the center. Vfs is reaping people off. Before this whole mess we booked interview and was turned back because of a marriage certificate that had to be signed by a the ministry all the way in abuja. What sort of mess is that. Finally we found a way to get the certificate. We tried again to book appointments only to figure out you can't change visa type if you make a mistake #60,000 on booking appointment wasted without refund and now we show up at the center and were defrauded.

Hi, i called the vfs customer care number and when they picked they tried to bring up all excuses and then even the official receipt they gave the the sum total doesn't add up. At the end of the day some guy requested to call me offline, started apologising and telling me he would query the official involved and asked me to send an account number to refund me tomorrow. The whole thing was fishy from the get go and i have sworn to recover my money back and get to the root of all this. From all indication something is happening within the office and people are reaping off it. When we contested the payment after it was given to us what the person at payment said was the visa charges have changed and they havne't updated their website yet with the new charges. It was after we made payment we realised it was still the same visa charges that were there but inflated figures. The customer care guy told me i would get a refund of #79, 450 tomorrow. He also said i shouldn't escalate the issue.

Let me ask you, before all of you enter the office of Vfs do they collect ur appointment letter and tick all ur names on there on line printed appointment list?

If they did that means they have received al ur payments and you don't need to pay

I just called the vfs office to confirm how i was overcharged at vfs office after paying my booking fee online. Please is it true that if you go and print a missing document within the office in lagos they automatically cancel your appointment and put you into premium service.

I have called the customer care line and from all indication i was overcharged and they are lying about it. My parents also paid a booking fee online and still went to the center and paid another service charge + visa fee.

The customer care person even requested to call me offline rather than the official customer care line saying it has a time frame. Please this is happening to nigerians at vfs office lagos. Is there a way to fight this?

Hi, i paid #29400 online to book an appointment for each person. So for three of us we paid #88200. Each persons booking appointment was done and paid for online. When we got to the vfs lagos they still asked us to pay the same #29400 each for three of us again plus the visa fee. They called this service charge. What i am confused about is that is this correct? After paying to book an appointment for 3 people each at #29400 they still asked us to pay another #29400 each again at the vfs office.

No. The first 29,400 paid online was for one person. Any other service charges paid at VFS was for the other people who didn't pay online. Kindly confirm if you paid service charge for two more people at VFS or three? If three, do not hesitate to request a refund for one person.

Service charge is 29400 per person. So yes, they were right to charge the others.

For premium lounge, you have been duped. The staff at VFS often add it to your bill (especially if you look rich). I once paid for it years ago because I didn't look at the receipt, only to get back home and started regretting.

After that experience, whenever they gave me a bill to pay, I'll always ask for a breakdown.

If you didn't step into the lounge and were charged, write to them, threatening to report to FCCPC in Abuja. Maybe something will be done.

Hi, when i was booking online to make an appointment it took me to a flutterwave payment portal and i paid the sum of #29400 + SMS charge #400 for three people. We printed the booking letter and when we went for the appointment today we still had to pay another service fee charge of #29400 for three people and also with the visa fee. Was i charged double. I thought we were just supposed to attend and then pay the visa fee after paying #29400 online. And yes the appointment letter we took there today showed that we had paid online already.

Please is booking fee online and service fee charged online again at the center. They charged premium service fee for the three of us which we never chose and also included premeium lounge which we never used on the official receipt we were given after the entire thing. It feels shady because the personnel there was saying things have changed and even the receipt we were given the total amount doesnt add up.

Let me ask you did you enter with appointment letter printed on there site if so you don't need to pay any money except visa fees, because the price you pay online will show on ur appointment letter

1) is the courier service of 8962 for three of you ?

2) is premium service also for three of you ?

Hi everyone i went to the vfs office to submit my application today and i have a few questions. I paid the sum of 29400 for 3 people online to book an appointment. When they got to the center they were asked to pay an additional service charge of 29400 again for the 3 of them and then on the receipt they added courier service #8962 and premium lounge #18000 which was not selected when the booking was made to the applications. We were never put in any premium lounge.

All in all a total of #138,400 was charged for 1study visa and 2 accompanying visas at the vfs office in lagos.

Is this the right fee or was i overcharged at the center. The fees on the receipt i was given also do not add up as the staff that attended to us said changes have been made and they havent updated their website with the right payment.

I'm not sure how this works, but I'll opine that you buy an insurance that covers the duration of her stay.

I got a 2 year study permit in February. My husband applied shortly after I got my visa for an accompanying spouse visa but was just denied yesterday after 4 months of waiting. The reason they gave was that hotel contact was not on the hotel booking.

I don't know if he can still apply for dependent visa since I am already in SA and we are not submitting the application together.
Also, will it be okay for him to apply using vfs Abuja office even though I applied at Port Harcourt? Please I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks

I do export to East Africa weekly through air using agents at the NAHCO shed Lagos, it costs about $5 per kg to get to my store there but because it is a lightweight product, 8 of it make up one kilo, I get to make my profit and can't use DHL for that

Please anyone whats the hope on a visa appointment thats after the expected last start date for a university? Defer the admission or pay an agent to look for a favourable date?

Pls don’t assume if you don’t have the full info, my program start date is 15th August, I applied for EA on the 10th of July and uploaded all the relevant documents so do the math and tell me how I am not within 60 days of my program start date. Don’t assume when you haven’t asked questions pls.

The EA was also refused. Is there any other way out?
