I think you guys failed to correct her on time. its an habit she developed from a very young age maybe during her early days in secondary school and at this age i don't think there is anything you and your family can do about it only if she decides to change her attitude towards school on her own. So i will suggest you advice her on doing other things aside from going to school maybe developing a skills. writing is ok since she loves literature or better still enrol her in a good vocational sch.
