Politics / Re: Yahaya Bello: North Central Group Seeks Tinubu's Intervention Over EFCC Probe by BrutusOj(m): 4:36pm On Apr 27
It's high time government banned some of this useless groups formed in different regions to do the bindings of politicians. How can sane people gather to protest or solicit for help for a greedy and wicked politician who made civil servants go through hell while he enrich himself and his family? Where were these fools when civil servants were being punished by Yahaya Bello? God! Where did we Nigerians originate from self?

Education / Re: Lead British School Student Bullied, Slapped By Other Students Over Boyfriend by BrutusOj(m): 2:37pm On Apr 23
onlinestaff247:
Lead British International School (LBIS) is a nice school at Gwarinpa, Abuja.

I was a teacher there and is aware the school's management and teachers always orientate the pupils and students on the bane of being a bully.

This incident must have been a rare case whereby the students might have isolated themselves far from the views of the teachers and meted this injustice.

Anyways, for clarity sake, the fees paid does not run into millons per term...The last time I was there (2023), primary school did not pay up to N300k.
Duty of care wasnt there. If it had resulted to death now, the school will get your type to defend them via the media. The school management failed the gentle girl.

Might pretend what happened with Namtira is extreme & improbable.

It isn’t.

“Seniors” in most secondary schools being entitled to be served by ‘juniors’ or utilizing corporal punishments against them is a delinquent subculture of education at the level.

“Secondary schools” engaging in street brawls because of a girl or some football game too.

The issue now is it involves the daughter of some influential Nigerians. wheelchair too.

Even Namtira might have been on the other side of the coin, maybe as the boy, being uninvolved or as the perpetrator.

It’s enough punishment that their face now represents bullying in Nigerian schools, when they have only engaged in what is norm in most schools.

on your way, are injustices you observed
but never intervened. In the hospitals, in the churches, with our law enforcement, the poor bullies the feeble, the rich oppresses, Burnaboy and Seun Kuti brandishes guns and sometimes shoot strangers or assault even officers of the law.

Yet, it is these young ones we must lynch. Young ones that have been failed by their schools, families and society. The school that won’t institute deterrent actions that could adequately protect students, because a child of a senator is involved. A society that thinks the boy who is merely a witness and uninvolved deserves to be castrated.

The boy is not a bully, maybe he is a coward. Or maybe he is a bully. But it’s bullying to use this incident to condemn him as a bully.
A bystander is subtly a bully, if that boy had made an attempt to come in between the bully and the gentle girl being bullied, it would have stopped at the first slap. I hate bullies, like someone mentioned above, I must ensure my children learn martial arts to some level and I will keep doing campaign against bullying with them. If a every child stands up to confront bullies, we will reduce bullying to the barest minimum. When bullies face their match, they run a way. If that girl had retaliated the first slap immediately the spoilt brat slapped her, it wouldn't have gone to the level of receiving multiple slaps.

Politics / Re: FG Targets Production Of Locally Made Vehicles By December by BrutusOj(m): 10:08am On Apr 20
Empower INNOSON and co who are already into production and ensure that all government officials vehicles are being contracted to them to deliver. If we little our roads with INNOSON like Toyota are dominant on Nigeria roads more local manufacturers will be motivated.

Religion / Re: Dunamis Church 'Fake Testimony': Anyim Vera Deserves An Apology by BrutusOj(m): 10:50am On Apr 15
Dr. Enenche went too hard on the lady.

It's obvious she did the programme to fulfil her dream of becoming a lawyer, not like she's sound enough to become a lawyer. Lawyers are sound to some extent, reason why Dr. Enenche didn't believe she is a graduate of law, but that's not enough reason to shame her on a live service like that.

A careful reading of her Facebook posts shared by someone above showed that the lady isn't sound and hasn't faced the kind of congregation she faced during the testimony.

I doubt if she rehearsed her speech before coming on stage. Not everyone can face a large crowd to talk.

Amotolongbo:
Many of these testimonies in churches are not necessary, honestly.
I concur 100%. You can testify the goodness of the Lord in the presence of people around you, it mustn't be inside a church. Churches are using testimonies time for a subtle advert.

Again, if you must testify inside church and you know you have stage fright, make it brief and not lengthy with unnecessary stories before gbagaun will pop up cheesy

I just hope say no be say dem pay Bobrisky to stage all these things including the prison..

Because this dragging is too much..

There are other guilty entities in the society with video evidence to go after, if you'll are serious. The law should be applied equally on everyone.. that's justice
You guys over rate this Idris of a guy turned lady. Who was he before he transformed to a lady? He is a nobody, it's just social media that gave him this unnecessary popularity that entered his head. What was he known for before the transformation? I doubt he is learned or got any skill, he has never been known for any business and it's obvious the family is a struggling one. Let those behind him come to his rescue let's see.

gidgiddy:
That's what some of us have Been trying to tell some brainless Nigerians but they don't understand. Cross dressing is a completely different thing from being gay. Abroad, there are many cross dressers that are happily married to their wives. Everyone has their own reasons for doing it

You may not like Bobrisky, you may not like cross dressing, but what Bobrisky is doing is not against the law
So, he should be allowed to continue influencing young men negatively? Is transgender constitutionally allowed?
Celebrities / Re: "Mummy Of Lagos" Chants Erupt As Bobrisky Makes Grand Entry To Event by BrutusOj(m): 3:10pm On Apr 03
Lagos is the headquarters of gays, I can see Lagosians are promoting this ugly transgender. Portable is the only real man in Lagos undecided if there are plenty of Portables in Lagos, Bobi Riski in Portable' voice cheesy would have ran to Europe to continue with this nonsense there.

Why is the Lagos state government not seeing this guy as a nuisance and negative influencer to young men out there?
Romance / Re: Man Displays Bride's Traditional Wedding Gifts From Her Family (photos, Video) by BrutusOj(m): 9:17am On Apr 03

My Wife's father bought almost everything. The mom bought all cooking utensils. That's what tradition demands for them.

The idea is this. Without knowing the full financial status of the groom, they want their daughter to be comfortable in n her husband's house. As for the cooking utensils, you know most bachelors only have few plates, few cutleries.

But as he gets married, his wife will need complete Kitchen utensils. There are even times that, she might need bigger pots to cook in the house. Maybe they are hosting friends or families for a birthday occasion or anything that calls for celebration.

She won't need to go borrow those stuffs like big pots, mortar, big bowls, big trays etc. The mom will provide everything during the marriage.

Another reason for this is that. Some men are fun of having querells with their wife's every now and then. They will call the woman names. They mostly tell her to pack her bag and leave his house. That she didn't even bring anything to the house when he married her. Some will even claimed that,he picked her from the gutter and wretched. But with things like this, every groom will have some respect for his wife to some extent.
Interesting, I love the whole idea. However, what happens if there is a dispute and the couple decide to separate, will the wife pack her kaya or leave them behind for the ex husband?🙄

You are right. This is a must in all Northern marriages. During my marriage, my wife came with a set of executive Chairs, a 50 inches smart tv, two deep freezers, a massive family bed with it's mattress, makeup mirror,2 sets of AC, wordrope wardrobe and all Kitchen utensils including a cooker.
All these from your family purse or your husband contributed?

I'm really honoured sir that you would care so much, as to want to play an integral part in my wedding. Sincerely, I am grateful...

We actually do have everything covered for the wedding, so just gracing with your presence will add color to my special day...

This is exactly what I would say to him...
I won't present him with any list...
I won't make any request...
I won't throw any gimmicks to get cash from him...

I'll just want him to come around and make sure to honor him very well if he comes...
There is so much wisdom in the above post, if the said boss is as big as the Op made us know, he can surprise Op with a car or even a house on the wedding day.

Sometimes old school mates who are not doing too well avoid their class mates out of inferiority complex, while some old school mates who are doing fine are just being stupid to snob their mates when they meet, it's an act of immaturity to do such.

Thank God for their safe release. However, I didn't see where Senator Shehu Sani mentioned that the bandits were arrested or could it be that they saw the security forces and abandoned the children and their teachers?

Is this how the cycle of kidnapping will continue? Where are the Bethel students kidnapped over a year ago?
