Depends on how much stuff you're bringing.
Compare the costs of paying for extra luggage on your flight with the freight costs for both air and sea.

We used both. Air freight for stuff we needed immediately, sea cargo for stuff we wouldn't need until much later (larger sized diapers and wipes) and also we carried a lot of stuff with us when coming back.

You should also consider if you can get the items in Nigeria. It may be cheaper for you to buy the items in Nigeria when you factor in all the costs of shipping and clearing.

Hope this helps you make your decision
Thanks a lot

Congratulations re u a FTM if yes abeg how u escape Epidural cos am not interested in it tooo.
No dear. I am not a FTM. But last baby was abt 5 yrs ago so e no easy. Na God... The last few mins were the most painful but God saw me thru cos the money involved too much. Well I had my other babies without epidural.
It all depends on you pain threshhold. Some people can endure pain while others can't. So evaluate urself n know which class you belong....

Thanks for the information but there was simply no option on the POS terminal in krogers to run the useless transaction as credit or debit. It just showed hit the continue button and then enter pin. Pin approved and the lady looked up at me and whispered the magic words...it won't let me process it. I had to pull out my card and leave because of the queue behind me.I simply can't be pulling out $120 everyday and paying $3 atm fee and #240 standbicibtc fee. It's sad that we have been reduced to this level. Was yours approved as credit in Walmart or Sams club? I may try those instead.
I also use a Stanbic atm.call your bank and they will lift the restriction. It also happened to me initially but after d call.I use my card freely now.

Are you not using oakbend? I would advise u just use d hospital paed cos u won't spend more dan 2days at the hospital. Post discharge shld be just one visit and u shldn't spend more dan $100.
My sister. I tire oooo. The Dr is affliated with oakbend and Methodist. I choose Methodist for delivery. My approximate stay in the hospital will be 2days. After I go see for oakbend as per postdelivety. So his charges don't make sense... huh

While in the hospital, you can't bring a paediatrician frm outside. After birth, you can try dr rubina khan, dr bornstein (paediatric care) or dr adesina (caring hands paediatrics). You can google dia numbers.

By the way, wat is d $750 for?
The $750 includes daily visit to see the baby at the hospital and post discharge visit. The Dr is affliated with the hospital am using.

You will need a stroller especially if you have stopover. Do not check in the stroller on the check in counter, then request for bassinet .
Thank you oooo. I get 15hrs layover for Dubai but I am entitled to hotel. I go just get the travel system stroller.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by bubelahot: 2:35pm On Apr 27, 2016
Please mamas in the house. How do you take your newborn home...Do you use a carseat\ stroller or you use the baby sling. Which one is more convinent especially if your traveling back to Nigeria alone.
