just remembered my secondary days, twas time to receive report cards, you know how junior secondary school run their things nau - during vacation they'll pick a day we come To school to receive report cards, usually Thursdays or Tuesdays, this one was a Tuesday, third Term report card. I'd just finished primary 5, was one of the best students then to have taken a common entrance with a percentage of 89.4, so I thought secondary school wouldn't be any different, I played my way through first, second and third term, but now it's time to know my fate On getting to our school compound, I noticed how everyone looked calm and reserved, usually a school surrounded with rough boys and girls, and now we don't get to put on uniforms or act accordingly because it wasn't school hours and no teacher scold you to behave, twas shocking, I didn't know what third term result meant then because I'd never repeated or have any reason to believe that I'll repeat, but now I'm starting to get worried. I walked in slowly, putting on my last year Christmas clothes, a bit faded but it still looked sleek. "Ifeanyi, how far nau? wetin dey happen" Ifeanyi was looking all puffed up like someone had taken his transport money and his house was pretty far back then, " Eze, Mr Lasisi dey call names of people wey go collect report cards, if e no call you name na till we resume you go collect your own and I dey hear say if e na call your name, you don repeat be that " omo! chills went down my spine, thinking of repeating made me remember what my dad said about our neighbours daughter that repeated, how if twas him that was her father he'll beat dumbness outta her life, imagine me! his first son to repeat, my life will literally be over. "which number e dey now?" was all I could mutter while brooding with an "I'm gonna die face" Ifeanyi responded "e just start, him dey do announcement" "come closer, come closer if you're in JSS 2H. if I call you name, form a line, if I don't call your name you'll have to come after the vacation to collect your result" Mr Lasisi announced, within me I figured so it's true, God! this is how I'll end, prolly I'll end up being a vulcanizer or better a mechanic, omo! "Kehinde Ogunrunbi, Taiwo Aina ..." it went on like this for a while until I heard my name " Eze Isaac Sunday" I was number 25 "That's the last name on the list of people who'll get their results today, the rest of you, come back when we resume" after this statement was made, I looked back and I could see Ifeanyi looking at me menacingly " Eze, na God go punish you, bastard" Till today I don'tknow why me being promoted and him not warranted him calling me a bastard |
How I wish - a Case Study of the 22 Muslim Commuters killed by Christian Thugs in Plateau: it's a shame I had to write on this, & it's even more a shame some of us never saw this coming, but be sure there'll be retaliation as a result of this & for the irresponsibility of our leaders who promote religion & killings over Nigeria & Humanity. You see, it's either you like the truth or you hate it, but surely, the attack was premeditated & well planned. It was borne out by the events of previous religious killings, hence an unjustifiable retaliation. This stupid killing of the INNOCENT MUSLIM TRAVELLERS would never have happened had there been JUSTICE for the VICTIMS OF PREVIOUS ATTACKS. This attack has only happened because we've been made enemies of ourselves by what we're taught & by our laws not aapplied. If Christians go massacre a Muslim Community & they're immediately wasted by the authorities for justice' sake, Muslims will never think of retaliating, & further violence will be curtailed. So if Muslims kill Christians & the Government quickly steps in with fierce hunting for the perpetrators, there'll be peace & the people will be encouraged to report cases of attacks. We must know that A LAND WHERE THERE'S NO LAW OR THERE'S LAW BUT NO JUSTICE, THE PEOPLE ARE AUTOMATICALLY LAWLESS & DISSATISFIED, the HUNTER WILL BE HUNTED BY THE HUNTED FOR PLEASURE & THE SCORE MUST BE MADE 1-1, OR A DRAW BEFORE SATISFACTION IS ACHIEVED ~ I am Baba agba |
The tribe that is proud of its origin the most by name - Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo as case studies: today we look at how proud we are of our origin as a people & we check how true my findings are - Hausa (the entire North): by observation, everything about a northern name is motivated by religion. & this isn't just about Islam, Christianity too isn't left out.. Hausa especially only bear names of famous Islamic Prophets; few times will you see names like Maigari, Mairiga, Bawa, Maidugu, Danbaba, Danjuma,.. The names you'll see easily is Mohammed, Ibrahim, Yusuf, Yakub, Umar,... Mind you, when someone from Adamawa, Plateau, Taraba, Kaduna & maybe Bauchi tells you his name is Yusuf, Ibrahim or the tribe that is proud of its origin the most by name - Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo as case studies: today we look at how proud we are of our origin as a people & we check how true my findings are - Hausa (the entire North): by observation, everything about a northern name is motivated by religion. & this isn't just about Islam, Christianity too isn't left out.. Yoruba: this is probably the only tribe that is strongest in upholding its identity. You can find 10 out of 10 Yoruba People with Yoruba Names as their first & they'll proudly take it to the US, UK, Canada, Australia,.. From Abiola to Ifeoluwa to Adeola to Kunle to Bimpe to Bimbo to Olu to Ronke,... They don't change, only the Religious Extremists do. Note: we can still find exceptions to these findings, but it's necessary to note that adopting ours is more unique than adopting what isn't ours & it places us better in the multitude ~ Baba agba thoughts |
The people first: if you see or hear me complain, it's because my wishes for a better society is second to none but unfortunately has never been met. Everyday I wish there was a better leader to what we have. Only Yar'adua & Osinbajo (both short term) have ever impressed me. In 1999, Obasanjo was a consensus candidate from nowhere. I only read from history whom he was. I also hear on the Radio, Obasanjo said this & that. That was all. It then came that he was chosen by the PDP as their preferred candidate & with the backing of the North & considering PDP was the party of the Southsouth & the alternate party of the Southeast, Obasanjo destroyed Olu Falae at the polls to become President. someone from the Middle-belt, PDP was the popular Party, so Obasanjo got my support. Immediately Obasanjo began, Tyranny began. He was worse than Buhari. The difference is that he wasn't Nepotistic. He treated everyone equally, except his perceived enemies. He was intelligent too, & could defend anything openly even if they were all lies. He used his position to steal lands for himself, both in Abuja & Otta & hiked fuel prices while refusing to increase salaries commensurately. I saw all those & started to dislike him. But something was that I noticed & I for the sake of a good conscience gave him back my support. In 2001, this Buhari instigated the North against Obasanjo's Government, called for Sharia Law for the whole Nigeria & then threatened that if the 2002 Miss World Beauty Pageant holds in Nigeria, that the safety of the Beauty Queens wasn't guaranteed. Imagine a citizen threatening the whole world with utterances of Terror!! This was why I reneged from my dislike of Obasanjo & in the absence of no proper candidate supported him in 2003 against Buhari. In fact, with the corrupt practices of Obasanjo, I was one of the few who wished he stayed on for 3rd term against Buhari & Atiku, just because I discovered Buhari was hellbent on using religion &tribe to takeover power & Atiku showed disloyalty/disdain towards his Boss openly. These are facts you can go check, Obasanjo on accepting that he can't run again then chose Yar'adua, so I gave my vote to him after checking everything he did as a Governor. Buhari lost the election in 2003 but never agreed. He lost again in 2007 & went to court. Let me tell you what happened: In 2003, Obasanjo knew he'll struggle to win the Presidential Election without the support of the Southwest, so he made peace with his people for maximum support. This is where tribal politics began. Though, PDP held all states in the North except Kano, but votes were rigged to favour Obasanjo. Buhari knew he was popular in the core North, so he made his conclusion as a Sectional Leader that he won the election & went to court. But you know what? Buhari never won any election until 2015. In 2003, Obasanjo won all the Non Hausa speaking parts in the North, including Abuja, Kogi, Taraba, Adamawa where Atiku is from & Kwara. & don't forget the Southeast hated Buhari even though he chose Chuba Okadigbo as his Vice. Then 2007 came, Yar'adua won Buhari on popularity in the North. Until Buhari became President, the only place he was very well loved was Kano, & that's where he wins election flawlessly. Yar'adua was popular among the Governors & had impressed the Northerners, coupled with the fact his father's name was the most popular among northern politicians then. The Igbos supported him too because of Jonathan. so Buhari had failed all along. Now, after Yar'adua died, I didn't like Jonathan, because I knew how he embezzled Bayelsa funds in just under 3years. So I knew the prudence Yar'adua showed will disappear. So, I supported Buhari for the first time in 2011. I was the only one who supported him in our apartment then; & because Nigerians felt Jonathan was being bullied, he got sympathy votes & won overwhelmingly. Buhari as usually was obsessed with his popularity in Kano, so he alleged rigging. & why I immediately got irritated was that Buhari threatened that "the dogs & baboons will be soaked up in blood if he doesn't win". It brought back memories of the 2001 threats & how he confronted the then Oyo for cubbing his killer Kinsmen. With Buhari's Devilish Utterances, I gave Jonathan the nod. But Jonathan wasted the opportunity with poor governance, & Buhari with all the bad signs got to power. I was indifferent with Buhari's reign because I made my conclusion in 2011 election from his extremism. Like I knew, it didn't take 6weeks, everything about him showed. From Sensationalism to Religiosity to Tyranny to the disobedience to the rule of law,.. Note: if you read well, you'll notice that from time to time I changed my mind about these people. It wasn't personal but general. & until we get a leader for the people, I'll keep talking ~ I am Baba agba |

The truth about female nature is so ugly, it is often incorrectly parsed as hate when conveyed And I have no doubt that such knowledge may indeed drive some men towards hatred But that's not because they were fed hate, it's because they expected beauty where there was ugliness. You see, a man doesn't truly become a man in the fullest sense, meaning, to be fully mature - until he is able to accept the ugly with the beautiful. To see women neither as strictly ugly nor beautiful, but to realise they are both - as are men, just differently so.Men are natural sexists, not misogynists. On the contrary, they are taught women are more moral, less aggressive beings who will civilise him, warmer and kinder than he. In their nascence, they are near incapable of conceptualising female cruelty, viewing them with dewy eyes.Men by default are naïve and ill-equipped for the implicit, indirect and manipulative social games that come naturally to women. Men confuse a mother's love for female nature, when in fact the two are greatly distinct, despite both being possessed by the same vessel - women. The woman who was sweet and kind to you growing up, who sacrificed for you and mostly showed the positive side of femininity, is likewise a woman who may have used men for money and weaponised sex to get her way. Reconcile the two. Women oft treat children better than men. When a woman mistreats a child, it is often because she has surpassed her stress limits, and she finds it regrettable later on. But when a woman mistreats a man, she often feels within her right to do so, as if she is naturally only protecting herself and securing her interests. And so the great mass of young men unguided by wise men go into the world as adults expecting women to treat them with the same warmth, compassion and sacrifice their mothers gave them, only to find something all the more selfish and deceitful. This causes a crisis of perception. This crisis of perception is akin to the loss of faith, and it is brought about by truth. That something divine, beautiful and sweet - almost perfect in a sense, is in fact just like him, not pure, but tainted, corrupt and in many senses worse than he is. This brings great pain. |
manuelberry:haha, one way or the other you've been involved in the chasing game, you just didn't realize |
Kola5281:she texted me apologizing, that she's sorry and next time she'll give me all of her attention. We don't talk anymore |
The chasing game as some of us may not understand what this means, I will explain briefly. This is when a girl stalls before saying yes or no and some do not ever come to a conclusion. This definition is not that perfect but you get what I mean already. Now, to the way Nigerian girls understand The Chasing Game, to them it's the time to be abusive, rude and sometimes weigh their options and if being with you favors them, they then say yes! not because they love or reciprocate the feeling but merely for their egoistic nature and wants. However, they're some nice and smart girls who know that times like that is taken for proper consideration. In some cases they consult their 'God', friends, family, their mentor and all that. but do you wantu know the real description of the Chasing game? this is where a guy proves he's worthy of your love, he persuades you to give him a chance, but let's not forget that this guy is not stupidly being persevered, he's seeing green light and this green light is what's goading him on to keep trying, with hopes he will triumph in his love pursuit. This is how it used to be, but now we have guys who don't know when to stop. She already said no, but no! that's when he feels he's the only Casanova in the world and can get every girl. Hello, bros! have you heard of taking your L and trying somewhere else? Merits of the Chasing Game 1. it gives you enough time to get to know your admirer, this is when you ask questions - girls/boys 2. it gives you enough time to know what she likes and dislikes - boys 3. As a girl you can take this to your advantage and make him fall deeper in love with you with constant blinking of signs although this can easily go wrong if you don't know what you're doing - girls 4. This is when you let her know what and what not your capable of as to avoid sending out the wrong msg. for example do not start spending money like you're from Oba as that will only create a picture of you you can't consistently hold, be wise but if you're from Oba, why not? - boys 5. This is when you share every secret you think can be a potential threat to the relationship ahead - girls/boys Demerits of the Chasing Game 1. Just like every chase it has to come to an end, either it ends with he/she being caught or he/she gets away, it's fine. don't overreact or start sharing rumours and trying too hard, you'll only hurt yourself more - boys/girls 2. Often lead to spite or hatred if the desired expectation is not reached boys/girls 3. Usually leads to financial depletion - boys/girls 4. One could stall for too long and his or her admirer who could have been the one may not be patient enough and leave - boys/girls 5. lastly, there's no other demerit I'll consider more than that of time wasting! you like me or you no like me you can add yours!!! |
funny enough, I'm a natural risk taker. esp once I like a girl. to me it doesn't count as I've done quite a lot for friends, let alone girls I like. but one that recently happened was me teaching a girl I know I've got no chance with prior to her exams with mine looming just as hers (our exams were the same day) she's a junior btw. her exam went well and she passed with beautiful colours; she recently found out and I struggled on the other hand. I never see my own result sha but I'm crossing my fingers |
prior to me having my own share of the 'breakfast' circulating these days I never believed I could be embarrassed, let alone in public. well, good lord twas in her room. A sweet girl I met on twitter, after weeks of texting back and forth, found out she's in the same Uni as me. we planned to meet and did, God! was she small, pretty and sexy but damn! she's too petite, honestly I was scared I'd kill her if we ever had sex. due to this recent disinterest, I lost every attachment whatsoever but I tried to remain friends. To the embarrassment. One hot afternoon after class, I'd been so stressed and tired, I just needed a change of environment. so, I called her, asked if she's around that I'm on my way. got to her place and she was no where to be found, her neighbour told me she's in another neighbours house(a guy) well, we aren't dating, there's nth to feel bad about. called her and told her I was around already, omo! if you see what this girl was wearing coming out from the guys room, well still none of my business. we entered her room, exchanged pleasantries and suddenly she complained of being drowsy, I said me too. sharply we both slept off, and then it started raining. 10 minutes into the rain, as per raindrops on top zinc no let person sleep, I just pretend like say truly I dey sleep, suddenly na so person enter her room, lay down on her bed, I was considering the 'guy' would reason that we're both asleep and come back but no oh! this guy woke this girl up and right there as I was fumbling in an attempt to sleep, they started making out! OMG! I couldn't believe it, they were smooching and making sounds, I couldn't open my eyes as to not even make it more awkward! I laid there like a was so deep in sleep I didn't know what was going on, I started creating scenarios in my head regarding how I'd leave here with what's renaming of my pride. as soon as the rain stopped I already had a plan, pretended to yawn! woke up and acted a bit surprised upon seeing the guy on her, I swear! I could see his erect penis. I told her later and gave the guy a knuckle and left leaving the food and Hollandia yogurt I bought for her! omo, never again |
arthorjnr:it's not about pride or anything of that sort, if so I wouldn't have found myself in such situation. sometimes it just happens and there's nth you can do than relish the moment and say never again |
Hi! you have clearly made choice, idk why you're here hoping we drown you even deeper in this ocean of love you've willing jumped into with little or zero swimming skills. Make a choice and own up to it. |
reminds me of Ezego, I may not have spelt it right but people who know who he is know what I mean. Same drive and success in business although altering Ventures but their grace seem to be similar. only a fool will think otherwise |
they do look beautiful, it's the number 10 for me ☺ |
