It is regrettable that after fulfilling stringent conditions; academic rigors, financial obligations and all sort of obnoxious requirements, we can still not be mobilized on the alter of odious excuses.

This month makes it a year since we graduated.. Anything beyond this year will be two years wait. The next batch will probably be June 2017 and if the reason they gave for DEMOBILIZING GRADUATES this 2016 is anything to go by it means our chances of even getting mobilized by 2017 is very slim. This is because our economy is not showing any sign of economic recovery. Recession is digging deeper by the day.

Funny thing is majority of members of the public and parents are not yet even aware of what is happening to their youths. Our various institutions have failed us by not canvassing for our interests..NANS have failed us, even ASUU have failed us too.

We have lost opportunities, perceived to be liars, lost our respect and place in society all because we don't have the "almighty discharge certificate". For christ's sake, we are being compelled to serve and yet we have to lobby, hope, pray and fast to be mobilized.

The minimum age limit now required by companies and various corporations is 21-24years.You and I know you cannot spend 4-6years in the university, another 3years waiting for NYSC and still be in that age bracket. Hence we have to lend our voices collectively and fight for what is just. Irrespective of our schools and state of residences we have to come out in our mass in a Peaceful March to the NYSC Secretariat of our various states.

We have been described as a dormant population, we have been spat on, twisted and pushed around and all we do is complain. We must make our voice heard.

We want to call upon all agrieved PCMs, Irrespective of our schools and places of residence, that are based in Port Harcourt to join us in a Peaceful demonstration to the NYSC office in Portharcourt come Friday the 14th of October.
