Abagworo:

Owerri is a million more habitable than Lagos. There is no single untarred road in Owerri and there are no markets on the road.It is quite organised.I will post pictures from Owerri next week.

well if it wasnt for u stupid igbos that have packed full inside lagos , which is the smallest state , then would there be market on the road.

laff. who gave igbos brooms who gave igbos black soap to wash up with

its ur moms that is dirty.

did igbos bring brooms when u were coming from the east ?? or soap.

when did igbos start wearing clothes.

their many parts of lagos that are supernice . checkout , ikeja , maryland , anthony village , ikoyi, lekki and co. these are cities in thier own right. and they are much nicer than any stinking igbo city. aba onitsha owerri and co.

even abeokuta is cleaner than most igbo cities.

udezue:

Its amusing how Yorooba folks on NL got the nerve to us situation in Aba to judge over 30 million Igbos when not 1 Yorooba city have ever gotten recognized or received award for being clean. Owerre, Enugu, Abiriba towns have all gotten recognized for its cleanliness. Its even more amusing because in and outside Nigeria the Yorooba are known to be very dirty and my stay in Yorooba dominated areas like Mafoluku, Ajao Estate, Oshodi, Lagos didn't help matters at all. Until you can clean up your own dirty cities and get ppl to see as clean not dirty and disgusting u have no right to bash the Igbo because of 1 damn city. Aba is just 1 city with its own unique problems. Like EzeUche said its an industrial city so expect dirt. What Aba needs is a correct city manager who can handle its sanitation and figure out a proper method of tackling the issue. Due to the industrial nature of the city I will never expect it to be as clean as Enugu, Owerre, Calabar or Abiriba but Aba can do better than this. They need to start encouraging ppl to go into recycling. Provide bins all around the city for ppl to dispose plastics, papers, cans, for recycling. Provide bins for ppl dump trash and create waste management companies solely for picking up trash that are put out for pick up by residents. Have trash field outside to dump trash and go through it to collect the ones that can be recycled. Not only will they be able to clean up the city but this will create jobs as well. Make it a punishable offense by fine if caught littering and if fines are not paid the person should be sent to jail and spend maybe a week helping to clean up the city before he or she can be released. Like we say "Don't mess with Texas" we should start our own "Don't mess with Abia"
