GenBuhari:Your suppositions, propositions and assertions are lame. And you have a history of making bogus claims that only exist in your head. |
Sagamaje:They will run a background check on her since its a first time traveller to UK. This will take up to a month. Social media gives them a hint these days to making decisions. They must see her to be sane and organised and have a good decent life. Nothing promoting religious extremities on all her time lines. If she is clean, no lies in the application and you have a substantial reason supporting your application that she will return to Nigeria. She will be given. All the best. |
No need to panic. Visa is not passport to heaven. Their response time is minimum of two weeks. Meaning it could be more. I renewed my visa in February and it took 21 days. No need to panic. Again brace up for anything especially if it's a Virgin passport. UK has been bouncing people in the last 2 months. UK immigration took a different turn after the Manchester Bombing. They are conservatives not like U.S that will make noise about immigration policies. Whatever it is take it in good faith. All the best |
Time to Restructure Nigeria - IBB Nnamdi Kanu- Referendum or No election Tinubu 1992- 1999 Restructure Nigeria |
Fat lie....run for your future |
Mr Igbokwe, Igbo ekwelugo na fa ga na. Ikuku will swallow you when the time comes |
Igbos at the heat of Bokoharam moved their wives and kids talk more of this ultimatum. In September there will mass exodus of Igbo wives and Children. Most Igbo men have arms in shops. Will they be killed, yes but they will spill blood before they leave. Must we fight to seperate. I ask again. |
Why is this woman not beside her sick husband...I don't understand this marriage |
Do we really have to fight to seperate? |
No matter how the Igbo elites dance arround the hausa Fulani oligarchs to protect their investments in the north. Come October this year. Ethnic cleansing will take place. Find your levels now or find your grave. You will be killed.... |
Take it or leave it. This guy is intelligent. Forget his approach. He knows what he is saying and many will allude to that. The classic statement is ''we plan our life and budget based on oil price" which we don't determine. How do you develop. .... |
StOla:It's only logical to understand why Igbo leaders up north will oppose Kanu. All their investments and all they ever worked for is up north. Same vibes those agitating down East would have put forth if they were in their shoes . SA me way IgBo political lwaders are protting their interest all overy Nigeria due to uncertainty of what happen's to their investment. A wise man said if you lead, and no one is following. You are taking a walk...it will amount to delusion or self deception to say Kanu is nobody simply because he does not have political position. No Igbo man leaving today can make Igbos seat at home by simple declaration without arms. I went to Wuse market Abuja on may 30. The seat at home day observed by IPOB. Shops were not all opened. I asked and they said their leader has commanded and they are tired of Nigeria. That young guy has never met Nnamdi Kanu. What is leadership when you cant influence. Kanu is in East influencing Igbos world over. And you say he is nobody. Ok oo |
StOla:The dimension of their struggle is changing. They started by calling for war and never used the word referendum. now referendum is their anthem....We don't have to seperate in quarrel. . Igbos don't have to leave anywhere because they got their own country.....As Scotland had their referendum. I never heard them tell the scots to come home. or British saying war or destruction. We really need to grow up. |

Everybody is pontificating, postulating, permutating on this Biafra matter. you forget that the world is watching carefully. Embassies are gathering Intel and reporting to their home countries. you can't have a sole administrator in Anambra for 4 years. Our law says 6 months subject to National assembly extension. If IPOB doesn’t go violent a military administrator will only be looking. The sit at home tool by IPOB is a knock off for security men. you can't force people seating indoors to come out so you can charge them or shoot. If you ask me. There is no needed making this marriage compulsory.if Nigeria Divides today. Igbos will loose more and they said they want to go. kini big deal. give them referendum. seperati on by war or peace. Biafra will have neighbours |

NIGERIA AT THE BRINK: WHY WE MUST ACT NOW The case of Nigeria today is more like a man whose house is flooded with water. His certificates, his electronics, furniture and indeed everything he has ever worked going down before his very eyes and he enters his house with first action being to mop the water. Common wisdom requires that you find the source of the water flooding and turn it off. I am not surprised at all, our history has proven that our leaders give all problems window dressings, We find a way to hybernate the problem and it resurfaces in the nearest future to a gigiantic proportion to swallow more people than it ever started. Our Acting president is meeting with traditional rulers and governors of East and North. These are supposed leaders that have lost control with their subjects. We pretend that we do not know that there is pulpable disconnect between the led and their leaders. Again we are chasing shadows. Obasanjo spent 5 years talking to the leaders of Niger Delta in hope that the leaders will bring an end to the gorrila attacks on our oil installations at the Niger. He failed woefully for that 5 years. Yaradua and Jonathan ignored the leaders of Niger Delta and went after the youths in the creeks and we all know the relative peace we had all through Yaradua’s tenure. Here we are again repeating history. The youths are agitating, issuing threats, crying and turning to crimes. We ignore and face their supposed leaders in delusion, hoping that they will bring the solution. Nnamdi Kalu has built an occultic (Die hard) followership among the Igbo Youths of Eastern Nigeria. To call it a bluff or write of the protests happening in many countries for him will be the height of denial of reality. For them, He is the light of hope. The leaders in the East know this and pretend about it. His strenght in the region is either being undermined or under-estimated. He has said if there is no referendum in November, there will be no election in Anambra state and 2019. His followership is strong, united and focused, the earlier the leadership of Nigeria and that of the East stop feigning ignorance of this the better. The most worrisome part of all these is that the young man is willing to die for his course. Arresting or killing him will never solve the problem as many more of his kind will rise. The Founder of Bokoharam group was hurriedly killed during Yaradua’s government hoping it will end the rising group and till date people are being killed from that ideology. The Arewa Joint forum have issued an ultimatum. And we have entered observation mode till the issue deteriorates beyond negotiations. This is annother clear case of leadership disconnect between the led and the leadership. Historically, we can allude to Northern fragility to things like this. We have seen condemnations and counter condemnations. We heard they will be arrested. Probably when it turns violent at the expiration of the ultimatum. Anyone who understands our history knows that the youths will make good their ultimatum. If this is not nipped, it will define the fate of this nation. The violence will go beyond Igbos as there is no thermometre or barometer that measures who is igbo or not in the face of irate youths thasty for blood. The federal government should face reality and stop politicking with the lives of Nigerians that will be lost if any violence ensues. I don’t see any fruitfulness in the meeting with traditional rulers and governors. That amounts to mopping the water and not turning off the tap. Call Nnamdi Kanu and team and have a discussion. Find out exactly what he wants and best way to handle it. Every problem has got a solution. Call the Arewa youths to a dialogue. We heard their ultimatum is reactionary. How true? Time will tell. The political and traditional leaders of these regions cannot and will never solve the problem. The youths see them as self serving. The youths have not turned violent yet, now is the time to act before its too late. Dialogue will forever be better than violence. |

A referendum is a direct vote in which an entire electorate is asked to vote on a particular proposal. This may result in the adoption of a new law. In some countries, it is synonymous with a plebiscite or a vote on a ballot question. Some definitions of 'plebiscite' suggest that it is a type of vote to change the constitution or government of a country. However, some other countries define it differently. For example, Australia defines 'referendum' as a vote to change the constitution, and 'plebiscite' as a vote that does not affect the constitution. In Ireland, the vote to adopt its constitution was called a "plebiscite", but a subsequent vote to amend the constitution is called a 'referendum', and so is a poll of the electorate on a non-constitutional bill. In lay man's language it a process adopted by a people to decide on a critical issue. It's usually a YES or No vote. The last two referendums conducted in the world was by Scotland and Turkey. Scotland desires to leave Great Britain to form their own country. Turkish president Erdogan conducted a referendum to give his government more absolute powers. In the case of Biafra, they desire a YES to stay and No to go vote in a referendum. The vote will be conducted for the Igbos while Nigerian government and international community are key observers. |

Well in-fact there are many countries which have put restriction on Islam and in some cases other religion and its practices. here is the list Asia Bhutan Bhutan , also known as most peaceful country in Asia , officially does not recognise Islam as a religion. It only recognise Buddhism and Hinduism. Myanmar Officially Myanmar allows to practice any religion , but it emphasise mainly on Theravada Buddhism. Islam face tough persecution from the Government. China The constitution of China protects what it calls "normal religious activity", defined in practice as activities that take place within government-sanctioned religious organisations and registered places of worship. Muslims in Xinjiang province are banned to keep long beard and covering face(for women) , Ramdan is a banned religious act and Muslims worshiping independently have been detained and charged with conducting "illegal religious activities". Recently China also banned certain Islamic name for the new born child. "Muhammad," ''Jihad" and "Islam" are among at least 29 names now banned in the heavily Muslim region of China. North Korea North Korea does not recognise any religion. Muslims and Christians are persecuted for following religion or conducting religious activities. Africa Angola Angolan government does not legally recognize any Muslim organizations , as a result, mosques in the country have faced restrictions and many have been shut down by the government. Europe Slovakia Slovakia has recently passed a law which bans construction of mosque , in the country. |
The ban on religious services for Muslims and members of dozens of smaller religious groups in Angola caused an international uproar at the end of November. The international media came to see Angola as the first country in the world to ban Islam. A total of 194 religious denominations, including the Islamic Community of Angola, plus various sects and religious associations that had applied to be granted legal standing, had their requests deferred by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. A statement issues by the ministry on 28 October said that for these denominations to continue religious activities would constitute the crime of disobedience on the part of all participants. Since the Law on the Practice and Freedom of Conscience, of Faith and Religion came into force in 2004, the Angolan government has not granted recognition to any church or religious sect. The Angolan state requires that in order for a religious denomination to be recognised, it must present proof of a minimum of 100,000 adherents. The last time the Justice Ministry granted recognition to new religious faiths was in 2000, through Executive Decree 74/00. The beneficiaries were the Igreja do Nazareno Internacional de Angola (International Nazarene Church of Angola), Igreja Messiânica Mundial (World Messianic Church), Centro de Devoção Rainha Santa Isabel de Luz (Centre of Devotion to Queen Saint Isabel de Luz) and the Igreja Evangélica Avivamento Bíblico (Evangelical Church for Biblical Revival). Angola has a population of more than 18 million, while the number of Muslims in the country is not thought to exceed 50,000, most of them foreign nationals from West Africa. All of the 86 churches and sects recognised by the government are Christian. The Angolan state does not recognise Islam. Muslims in various parts of the world expressed anger at the governments measure that refused to recognise Islam as a religion that can be practised in Angola. The international community took up the issue through diplomatic contact with the Angolan government, which offered clarification. However, there is still very little concrete information available about the ban on Islam and other religious groups. Maka Angola has investigated the sequence of events that led up to the decision. Islam as a threat Maka Angola conducted a brief investigation into the debates with sovereign institutions concerning Islam, the presence of which was first officially recorded in Angola in 1978. The investigation also compiled a list of the various administrative decisions surrounding the authorization, closing and prohibition of worship and the demolition of mosques. Because Islam in Angola is practised mostly by West Africans, it has escaped the control of political power. It has also been an easy target for negative stereotypes as a gateway for illegal immigration from elsewhere in Africa. References in the press and in public discourse link Islam to terrorism, slavery and other wrongs that offend a still undefined Angolan culture. These stereotypes have allowed the formation of a mutual understanding between the government, opposition, civil society and Christian churches regarding the need to keep out a supposed common ill. These stereotypes have been nurtured in a society that notoriously lacks a culture of debate in the formation of public opinion. Such a culture would allow from the outset a basic public understanding of the necessity to separate faith from the acts of an individual. Following the guarantee of religious freedom in the 1992 Constitution, the first attempts to use the law to limit or to prohibit the practice of worship by certain denominations or sects date from 1998, in the Culture Ministrys Circular 4/98. This circular informed all provincial governments that they must prohibit the practice of religious activity by non-recognised churches. In November 1999, the then Justice Minister and now Ombudsman, Paulo Tchipilica, sent a confidencial memorandum to the Council of Ministers with proposals for halting the spread of Islam in Angola. The weekly paper Angolense, revealed the content of the memorandum in which the minister reiterated that Islam was a religion that tended to fundamentalism and which was not recognised by the government. According to Angolense, the minister called upon the government to dissolve the institutions that were being used as a cover for Islamic practices, to make their officials criminally liable, and to demolish mosques. According to the newspaper, the working group of the Council of Ministers issued contrary instructions to prevent Tchipilicas proposal from being implemented. Angolense wrote that this group [of the Council of Ministers] refuses to consider the activities of Islam in Angola as being tainted by fundamentalism. https://www.makaangola.org/2014/04/why-islam-is-illegal-in-angola/ |
