I don't need to pay Onne a visit cos I already told you I am a seaman and we sail those places now and then and I know exactly what I am saying.

Onne port is very wide and modernised but with very little activity taking place...last time I was there,my vessel was the only vessel berthed with almost a 50 tugs boats anchored around without work. Like I said earlier,their company was having no contracts,no work... meaning they used to have some time ago but govt deliberate policies and all that affects operations negatively....
We always have grounding issues at that pH channel at time and it's worse in Warri escravos channel due to high underwater muds and theres absolutely no dredging!!!!! But go to Lagos channel,they have two dredgers continuously dredging the channel 24/7 to accommodate the high numbers of traffic activities.

The entire port operations in the entire SS region put together is not up to 50% of port operations in Lagos state.

The mantra has always been"other ports in Nigeria are not working except those in Lagos." However when I present facts on Onne port you accept other ports in the south are working just like the ones in Lagos. You now find another reason why Lagos should be demonized and destroyed for other southern ports to be: some goods are exclusively meant for Lagos ports. Those goods cannot be shipped to other ports in the south. Just like the EndSars demonstration was hijacked to destroy Lagos, some unjustifiable grounds are being searched for to destroy the Lagos ports. The question now is " how will the destruction of Lagos ports prop up other southern ports and make them bigger and better than the Lagos ports?

I'm a seaman and know everything...maybe you only saw few container vessels and quickly came on hear to make noise...the traffic you saw at that onne,are they sustained for a long period? Are they sustained for years like we have in Lagos that hat traffics for decades?

My vessel was at Onne last year and and as large and beautiful and modernised as Onne is,there was not much traffic going on at all!!!!
Everything was just lying fallow.

Tugs boats of a particular company,up to 100,were berthed everywhere cos there was no contract,no operations for them to go service,the whole place was virtually empty. We discharged our cargo and left.
It's almost same same in Warri and Calabar ports.
Akwa has almost zero ports operations same thing with Bayelsa!
It's not too hard for a for new deck hand to steer the vessel when underway to terminal in pH or Warri or Calabar cos of the very less traffic and congestion but no captain will dare allow that when underway to terminal or jetty in Lagos due to the over congestion of roro,container vessels here and there,fish carriers,bulk carriers,tankers,badges,dredgers,etc....you can never ever compare what happens in Lagos ports and terminals with that of the SS ports put together,never... So please,don't just come here and open ya mouth simply cos you saw few vessels in this and that ports... It somebody like that will see plane flying and will run upandan shouting,''see aroplane,see aeroplane..." 😂😂😂

You are also right, not only Lagos ports are working. The reason most igbos complain about Lagos ports is because most of their goods by law can only land in Lagos. An amendment to the law is badly needed to correct perceived anomalies

Take a trip to Rivers State. Book hotel accommodations for a week. You will be at the exit of Onne port for 24 hours except for period of visiting the rest room. Confirm the number of trucks and their destinations. Until then you cannot prove my writing is not true.

When I traveled to Rivers State I observed a heavy traffic of container trucks and other articulated trucks heading to the southeastern part of the country from One port. I asked myself: But they say only Lagos Ports are operational, where are these trucks coming from? Onne port is working and operational. Is it not one of several ports in the south south that are working, operational and functional?

Why are some people spreading lies, half-truths, misinformation and propaganda that only the Lagos ports that are operational? To what ends are they doing this? Who are their sponsors? These and other questions will be answered in the near future.

The enemies of Nigeria who call Nigeria zoo, failed state and other unpatriotic names are mostly behind the propaganda. They are filled with hate, envy and and unjustified anger. Recent outbursts of El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna state, against the person and administration of Tinubu reveal a dangerous and sectional agenda. El-Rufai sees himself as the defacto leader of the Fulani in Africa. He is yet to abandon his plot to make Nigeria home to all Fulani, irrespective of their nationalities; Malian Fulani; Nigerien Fulani; Sierra Leonean Fulani; Beninois Fulani and Cameroonian Fulani among others. His mission was to turn Nigeria into homeland for all Fulani. He had a pan Fulani agenda.

However, with the administration of Tinubu, he could not go further. All killings aimed at ethnic cleansing are being tackled. Kaduna state, where he was the butcher in charge of killings in mostly southern Kaduna for eight years is experiencing peace and security. He can no longer pay killers. His mission is demolished. He is running around like a decapitated chicken.

However El-Rufai may veil his evil agenda, he is being unwrapped. He cannot hide. Using the north as a smokescreen cannot help him, neither appealing to emotion of the south south will let him have his way.

Whatever pan Nigeria platform El-Rufai is running now is a fraud. He is sectional and his bigotry knows no bounds. He is vicious, dangerous and fanatical. His appeal to religious extremism is documented.

El-Rufai latest attempt to gather the northern hawks under the guise of fighting for Nigerian masses is fraudulent and suspicious. All I see is someone making efforts to take Nigeria back to pre-June 12 era when the northern hegemonic bloc reigned with terror, killings and destruction. All well-meaning Nigerians should rise up and nip El-Rufai in the bud. Our hard-won freedom is at stake.
