Quit saying things you don't know. You can't live all your life in one village and keep blabbing. Take a trip to the east and see things for yourself.
Stop condemning Tinubu too and listen to us the Yoruba.

Mugu, have you forgotten that Onitsha and Aba houses one of the largest market in west Africa. Upper Iweka has created more millionaires than all Nigerian universities combined. I need you to counter this with real facts. I'm waiting o!
How has this transformed the south east as a great hub for all Nigerians? Onitsha, Aba and Inewi are Igbo enclaves meant only for the Igbo. Kindly display data of other Nigerians apart from the Igbo that running successful businesses in the south east.

Don't digress, let's show eastern and western states side by side and see which region is more developed. You keep saying Igbos keep migrating to your region but forgot that even the Chinese and Indians are trooping into Nigeria in droves. Now, are you going to say Nigeria is more developed than those countries?
What are the economic opportunities in the south east?

Tinubu with his hard drugs record in America ?

Anyways, this post is for APC imbéciles not me,
peace cool
I hope you are not out to embarrass yourself and your people. As at today the region with the highest number of drug pushers is the south east. That means the drug barons in the south east will be too many to mention.

This is why some of us have used the "Yoruba ronu" cliche to death.

When have the detractors of Tinubu, i.e those seeking to bully him out of the Presidential race, ever based their sales pitch on selling their own candidate, promoting their ability and showing, with verifiable facts, they are better than others including BAT?

Obama once stated that those who have no verifiable record to run on, to back their political candidacy, will only focus on trying to rubbish and belittle their opponents.

Is this not true of Nigeria where Igbos talk daily of how Tinubu must not run yet they cannot independently focus on selling Obi, Umahi etal to Nigerians?
According to the Igbo, Yoruba politicians are bad while their Igbo counterparts are saints. This is despite not showcasing the performance of their so-called politicians who they are striving to sell to gullible Yoruba.

Fixated on taking over Yoruba cities? You must be dreaming. Igbos saw opportunities that your lazy people couldn't see because of their penchant for free money. We made good this opportunities and built an empire for ourselves yet all we get in return from the so called accomodators are hate, jealousy and envy.
Who created and are still creating the environment for all Lagosians to thrive? Yoruba, of course, as represented by Tinubu. If your claim is true, the east should be the most prosperous and developed part of Nigeria.

This is the koko of the matter. Igbos are trying to buy political relevance and status in Lagos but Tinubu is always proactive in showing them that SW is Yorubaland and must always be controlled by Yorubas.
Tinubu is the best so far when it comes to giving a sense of belonging to everyone in Lagos in terms of politics. Yet these people will not let him be. Now there is Igbo APC in Lagos, championing Igbo interest. They never see themselves as Lagosians, unlike the Ibibio, Ijaw, Bini and other southern peoples that are Lagosians like Egba, Ekiti, Oyo, and other sub-Yoruba groups that believe in one Lagos. Imagine having Ibadan APC, Abeokuta APC or Ijebu APC in Lagos as there is Indigbo APC. They are too sectional and have domineering attitudes.

I disagree with you on this. Your politicians are tin gods that can do no wrong. Your political history is rooted in ethnicity and expansionist agenda. You are all out condemning Tinubu while Kalu is being shielded. Most of the developments in Lagos were initiatives of Tinubu and his party. Tinubu has no history of persecuting Igbo, yet you guys are always on his neck. The fact is Tinubu has secured Lagos against money bags such that you guys cannot influence Lagos politics. You have no claim over the electoral victory of his party. You envy him and his political achievements.
You are fixated on taking over Yoruba cities which Tinubu is resisting. You are frustrated.

As usual, always blaming others for their misfortunes. The same thing happened in the recent #Endsars that enveloped the country. Igbos were being blamed for instigating Yorubas in wrecking havoc on their land. Hypocrites, you guys should bow your heads in shame. You allowed one man to dictate your political lives, as well as Your economic wellbeing for his selfish interest thus turning all your youths to potential Agberos.
We are aware of your ulterior motive for condemning our political leaders while you keep your corrupt politicians out of public scrutiny. Using Southern unity as a ruse to control our political space shall not be accepted.

And yet it can't save millions of your youths from joining one million gangs, Awawa boys and numerous street touts gracing the streets of Lagos on a daily basis. You should bow your head in shame, the future of your youths looks bleak.
Those who killed our own Akintola but hid away their own Azikwe should not interfere in our political affairs. The social-political crisis you are highlighting were precipitated by your forebears who truncated democracy for the first time in Nigeria. PoliticsHow Tinubu Ended Godfatherism In Lagos State by Bulleye(op): 1:46pm On Dec 27, 2020
The dangerous and insecure position Nigeria finds itself today is rooted in the unrealistic belief that only strong men can hold political offices in Nigeria. Rather than allow institutions to control and check individual political office holders, it is unfortunate that politicians are the ones manipulating all organs of state for their selfish interest.

The consequences can be summed up in Buhari. The so-called savior many Nigerians were anxiously waiting to make Nigeria great, safe and prosperous. Weather Buhari has been able to meet the expectations of Nigerians is written in the happenings in the country. Democracy is hijacked and devalued with Buhari's presidency. All this has been made possible because Buhari is a strong and powerful man that is assumed to have power over every institution that constitutes government.

And most state governors are also little Buharis in power : they are exercising ablosute power in their respective states. It is dictatorship with a veil of democracy.

However, Lagos State state is an exception to the rule. The APC in Lagos State has killed Godfatherism ; no individual can withstand the power of APC machinery in the state. This is the genesis of the hatred towards Tinubu.

Political offices are not hijacked by money bags in Lagos State because the party is firmly established and in control. A candidate for an elective office is sponsored by the party. This ensures loyalty to the party. This contrasts sharply with the process adopted in other states where political merchants are in charge.

These political contractors are the ones rising up against Tinubu and instigating people against him. They are far worse than Tinubu and have nothing to offer.

Tinubu, rather than been a godfather, has to the delight of the progressives killed and destroyed Godfatherism.

If you are talking about a candidate that the South west adopted, then I can agree but still it doesn’t make Obasanjo less a yoruba man. You made it sound as though igbos never voted for any yoruba. I may concede that they did not support a consensus candidate by your people because right from time, the East always aligned with the north politically more than the west
Yes, I agree with you - the east is comfortable in an alliance with the north than with the southwest. Herein lies the crisis of confidence between the Igbo and the Yoruba.

isn't that why we have the North/South zoning arrangement?

yes, the emergence GEJ has the president immediately after the death of Yaradua appears to affect the Zoning system, a northerner should have been allowed to finish Yaradua tenure.

the system would come back to normal in 2023, hopefully..
We should avoid creating super citizens and slave citizens.

yes, the June 12 injustice is understandable and we can't deny that..

I'm sure the resultant was what brought about democracy, THE NEW NIGERIA.

MKO Abiola died for Nigeria, he was the Messiah.

he has been compensated, we can all see it, I don't need to say much about this.

but Southerners should desist from crying foul, especially when there is none...
I can't see any foul play since democracy, was there any? let me know
presidency would come back to the South by 2023.
The presidency belongs to Nigeria and should not be appropriated by a section. Rotating it will make it easy for all Nigerians to be free to occupy it.

and that's why we have the zoning system.

since the birth of democracy, that's some 21 years ago, Southern Nigeria has produced the president twice, both occupying the position for 13-14 years, if you ask me, that was an excellent run.

since democracy, Southerners have occupied the number 1 position more than their northern counterpart.

what sense of belonging are you talking about?
That the presidency is not the exclusive right of some section of the country. Every Nigerian has a right to aspire to any political office in the land. The late MKO Abiola died for this very purpose. Hence why we have June 12 as public holiday.

in a federal democratic government, why should a section gang up against another?

don't you think such act would defeat the aim of the system?
No, it is no gang up. There should be sense of belonging to everyone.

PoliticsWhy Tinubu Is Free To Contest The 2023 Presidential Election by Bulleye(op): 11:54am On Dec 24, 2020
On October 12, 2018, Peter Obi was named as the running mate to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's Presidential Candidate in the Nigerian 2019 Presidential elections. Peter Obi is Igbo.

The post of the vice presidential candidate was being occupied by a Yoruba, Yemi Osinbajo in the All Progressive Party. In the spirit of Southern unity, the PDP should have fielded a Yoruba candidate as its vice presidential candidate. However, the Igbo political class would have none of that. Osinbajo and Obi fought it out at the polls.

Same scenario is about to be played out in the 2023 presidential election. However, the Igbo are about to be in the position the Yoruba found themselves in 2019: Tinubu may emerge as the presidential candidate of APC or any other party that may field him in 2023 should he show interest to contest. At the same time, an Igbo presidential candidate may also emerge on the platform of another political party.

When Peter Obi contested against Yemi Osinbajo, the Yoruba did not see it as betrayal on the part of the Igbo. Likewise the Igbo should accept Tinubu's candidacy in good faith should he declare his intention to contest in the presidential race in 2023.
PoliticsHas Buhari Overplayed The Fulani Card? by Bulleye(op): 2:36pm On Dec 19, 2020
The Kankara kidnap saga, in which over three hundred school boys were rounded up by terrorists - bandits or Boko Haram - in Katsina state has jolted us from our sleep. It is a sad reminder that the Insecurity confronting the country is far from over.

However, the most dangerous dimension added to the Insecurity challenge bedeviling the country is the infamous and disturbing role the Miyetti Allah played in securing the release of the boys. How did Miyetti Allah suddenly abandon cattle rearing for ransom negotiations with kidnappers? Why did the defense headquarters has to come out to trade words with Miyetti Allah?

We should all feel concerned when non-state actors are taking over the role of state machinery. With Miyetti Allah openly taking credit for negotiations with terrorists, Nigeria is in serious mess. Buhari has proved once again that the Miyetti Allah are part and parcel of Aso Rock by involving them in the whole drama. This is a dangerous predent and a red flag that a section of the country has hijacked power to the exclusion of the rest.
PoliticsRe: Seyi Makinde: Nigeria Needs Security, Restructuring, Not Yoruba Presidency by Bulleye(m): 9:17am On Dec 16, 2020
Seyi Makinde is right. The presidency has never helped the ethnic nationality whose person is occupying Aso Rock. The Hausa-Fulani in the north are in the best position to educate the rest of the country on this ; they would trade the presidency for security should the opportunity arise.
