obi4eze:Peter Obi is the worst option before Nigerians right now. May we not fall victim to a scammer. |
wwwihy: |
Penguin2:Obi's home state, Anambra, has the most deadly and heartless motor touts in Nigeria. Travel through Anambra to confirm. In Obi's voice, "go and verify" |
Penguin2:Obi is a toy before the so-called Nigerian motor park touts. He carries no weight. Obi never dares, he runs when faced with a tough challenge. He should have stood his ground in PDP and dared his co- contenders for the party presidential ticket. He was not man enough and he is still not man enough. We need men like Tinubu. The presidency race is not for boys. |
Mooh247:The northern hegemonic oligarchy will soon meet their nemesis. Tinubu's declaration is a masterstroke. They were caught off guard. |
Mooh247:Thank God Tinubu voiced out on time. The north can go ahead and do their worst. We are equal stake holder in project Nigeria. |
God1000:Asiwaju of the progressives who stand to fight the northern hegemonic oligarchy in his party - All Progressive Party |
There is a gentleman's agreement between the north and the south that power should alternate between the two regions. The south kept to the agreement as demonstrated by Obasanjo. It is on this basis that Buhari has been in power for two consecutive terms. Atiku contested against Buhari in the 2019 presidential election because power had been zoned to the north. However, when power is shifted to the south and southerners are to emerge as presidential candidates of the two major political parties, the north mischievously and hypocritically begin masquerading their sectional interest as national interest. Zoning no more matters. All Nigerians are mono ethnic and our diversity is of no importance as far as pursuing northern interests is the goal. We are all Nigerians now that Atiku is using the slot belonging to the south to achieve his personal and northern interests. Tambuwal suddenly dropped his Fulani identity and wore the veil of a Nigerian patriot when he stepped down for his fellow Fulani to emerge as the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party. He fooled their southern goons who are suffering from memory loss regarding his earlier statement that power must remain in the north. Surprisingly, rather than revolt, the southern slaves of the northern hegemonic oligarchy in the People's Democratic People accept the emergence of Atiku as normal. They sold their rights or have them stolen from them without putting up a fight. They foolishly glamorize their defeat and further enslavement as putting Nigeria first. Under the pretense of one Nigeria the southern political class in the People's Democratic Party were led to their political slaughter slab by Atiku. The rest, as they say, is now history. Taking a cue from the People's Democratic Party, the northern hegemonic oligarchy were about implementing the same in the All Progressive Congress wrhere and when they met resistance in Tinubu. We should all thank God for giving us Tinubu who stood up to the northern hegemonic oligarchy and made the south proud. God bless Asiwaju Tinubu, God bless the south. |
Banning Facebook will not solve their problems. They should roll back electric cables from the poles and melt them to make cooking pots. All electric transformers should be dismantled and their metals given to bandits so they can sell and make money and then insecurities will end in Nigeria. All radio sets, television sets, phone and and other communications gadgets must be destroyed so that no news can get to the citizens and by then there will be no criticism that will get to the government. In fact, power stations, vehicles, and other inventions of the modern world should be destroyed throughout Nigeria. This destruction must not cease until Nigeria enters the Guinness book of record as the first country in the world to go back to the stone age. All this must happen during the Buhari administration to make him have a special place in the history of the world. Boko Haram has set the pace - Buhari administration can start Civilization Haram. He should take us back to the days of the early man running after animals and gathering fruits in the wild. |
chinjo:Buhari is a revelation that Nigeria is structurally deficient. As a product of the military, the institution that symbolizes our unity and cohesion, Buhari has rubbished whatever is left of Nigeria's fragile unity and togetherness. |
President Mohammed Buhari swore to be the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Having been voted into office by all Nigerians, he is obliged to protect the interest of all Nigerians, irrespective of ethnicity, religious differences and political parties. However, Buhari has turned himself into a puppet in the hands of the Fulani supremacists. They are the ones driving the agenda of the government. Their policies have all been geared towards subjugating the rest of the country under the oppression and domination of Fulani herdsmen, bandits and Boko Haram. This made the indigenous peoples affected to rise up in self defense. Surprisingly, the efforts by the indigenous peoples to protect their lives and property are being resisted by the presidency. Not only is the presidency attacking these people, the right to live and protect lives is being criminalized by the presidency, Garba Sheu and other northern interests who see the people concerned as conquered subjects with no rights whatsoever. However, the southern solidarity and protests against Buhari are a pointer to the emerging fact that Buhari is fast becoming the leader of the Fulani to the exclusion of other ethnic nationalities that make up the country. Buhari still have the opportunity to respect the federal structure of the country and drop the evil agenda of grabbing land from some people while pretending to defend Nigeria's indivisibility and unity. He should know that if he could fail as a military head of state, he stands no chance as a democratically elected president if he does not see himself as the president of Nigeria. |
iwaeda:The slave-master mentality of the northern political elite will soon land them in trouble. It is now that insecurities in the south east will stop the geo-political zone from producing the next president while the presidency was clinched by Buhari, a northern, at the height of Boko Haram insurgency. Then the north was not blackmailing Nigeria. The northern political elite will destroy Nigeria - not Sunday Igboho nor Nnamdi Kanu. |
iKingsley:Is it a circus show? |
From all indications, the gravity of Insecurity in Nigeria has shifted to Imo State. It appears the situation will get worse in the coming days. While the whole of South East is currently under Insecurity threat, it is particularly most severe in Imo state. We should not forget the north is still being ravaged by bandits, Boko Haram, killer Fulani herdsmen and kidnappers. Buhari watched as the crisis became worse over there. He could do nothing. Is it not likely that the south east security crisis will deteriorate with time? We do not need much intelligence that the the south east will soon descend into chaos. If Buhari could not save the north - his constituency - how do we expect him to stop the savagery ravaging the south east? The elders of the south east must convene a meeting to arrest the disaster awaiting to engulf the south east. Buhari is overwhelmed and is already at his wit end. The south east must save itself now before it is too late. |
In the absence of the president, Mr Mohammed Buhari, the only entity known and recognized by the constitution is the vice president, Mr Yemi Osinbajo. Neither the presidency nor Garba Sheu is constitutionally authorized to take up the duties and responsibilities of the president in his absence. Garba Shehu, a mere presidential spokesman, has no power or authority to be issuing out policy statement when Buhari is outside the country. He is acting outside his job descriptions by so doing. By arrogating to himself the power and authority he never possesses, Garba Shehu has automatically become worse than Nnamdi Kanu as regards threat to the unity, stability and cohesion of the country. Garba Sheu, an unknown entity before the constitution, should desist from hiding before the amorphous and anonymous entity called the presidency to hijack the power and authority invested in Buhari, who is the president. In the face of the insecurities and separatists confronting the country, Garba Shehu is making himself to be part of the problem. The presidency must be represented either by Buhari or Osinbajo. Garba Shehu should steer clear. |
From Orlu in Imo state, to Ibarapa in Oyo State, the mismanagement of Nigeria by Buhari and the so-called cabal is manifesting. In other words, the tragic incidents at those places are a pointer to a shape of what to come as Buhari's regime comes to an end. What Nigeria will be witnessing in the days ahead are illustrated in Orlu and Ibarapa. Orlu may be well-known, but Ibarapa is suddenly a place of national attention as a result of eruption of ethnic strive that has been building over the years. Buhari and his myopic team have blown away the opportunity to make Nigeria a great and prosperous country. To the disappointment of many, the government of Buhari has created more problems and crisis for the country. The challenges confronting the country are so huge that no meaningful developmental activities are taking place. The Buhari government has created so many problems over the years that the negative impacts have started manifesting. It is unfortunate that Nigerians will have to live through crises till the end of Buhari's administration. That is the bitter truth. We should all prepare. |
Wole Soyinka's next book tittle will be 'my experience on the Lagos - Ibadan train journey'. |
andrewmeddy8:Nobody will bother Buhari should he decide to leave Aso Rock and become Fulani head worldwide. However, as a Nigerian president, Buhari cannot be left alone to do whatever he likes |
Daddysidhan:Aso Rock belongs to Nigerians and not the northerners or the Fulani. We have that right to criticize Buhari. If they are not comfortable with that, they can make him emir. |
andrewmeddy8:Are you saying we should be watching while they lynch Kukah? We should all keep quiet while Nigeria burns? All Nigerians voted for Buhari and not just the north. The northerners that do not want Buhari criticized should ask him to step down as Nigerian president so that he can become Fulani leader or Arewa leader. |
nnamdi640:The lousy son of a bitch must be one of the terrorists. Scum of the earth. |
The Northern Coalition Group has come out to join the mob that are demanding for the head of Reverend Father Kukah over his message calling out Buhari. Between Buhari and Kukah, who ought to have the support of Northern Coalition Group? In a normal situation, the whole of the north should have given Kukah a standing ovation and boost his morale by joining him in further condemnination of this directionles administration of Buhari. However, the north is on Self-destruction mode right now and Kukah and his like cannot save the north. The damage is beyond repair. The north is an enclave of Boko Haram, bandits, killer Fulani herdsmen and other terrorists. Kukah underestimates the rot in the north : the north is already destroyed. The destruction of the north is now total because the political establishment that has the resources to fight the northern menace has become part and parcel of the problem. And the civil society groups in the north that should keep the northern political elite on their toes are also in the same league with them. The religious leaders too have bought over their congregation to join in the journey of no return which the north is embarking on. Who will now speak out against the dangers threatening the north? To validate the oneness of the north in support of Buhari, some Christian groups - yes, Christian groups - have come out to condemn Reverend Father Hassan Kukah. What do you call this, my people? |
The upstream sector of the polymer industry is my concern today. By the upstream, I mean the use of plastic making machines to convert plastic resin or polymer into such products as beverage bottles for water and carbonated drinks, buckets, and many other items. The question is : why is Nigerian educational curriculum not teaching this profession in technical colleges, polytechnic and institute? Did you know that as a good plastic technician with two years of experience, you are sure of minimum of #200000 as monthly take home? Yes, I mean a net salary of minimum of two hundred thousand naira. You can even ply your trade abroad. How can we get NDA and other government intervention bodies involved? Nigeria cannot presently fill the vacuum in the industry. |
MASTAkiLLAh:And which party imbéciles do you belong to? |
MASTAkiLLAh:Worse than useless. |
Onlinesmart:It is a propaganda to run Yoruba politicians down. Tinubu is their main target first. They are yet to show to the whole world how and when Yoruba hate them. They are good at playing the victim card. |
Onlinesmart:No, it is not politics. My father's house was once sealed in Lagos due to a faulty septic tank. Was that due to politics too? |
ThEGodFaThEr101:I am yet to see you publicizing the achievements of your politicians. Do that first. |
Onlinesmart:Tinubu is not vindictive. The demolition must be due to contraventions of town planning or building regulations. |
ThEGodFaThEr101:You want to be controlling the narrative always. |
ThEGodFaThEr101:Hateful lots? That is you! |
ThEGodFaThEr101:If Peter Obi could contest against Osinbajo in 2019, then Tinubu too is free to run for the presidency against an Indigbo candidate. So, you guys were not greedy when Peter Obi challenged Osinbajo. Hypocrites, that is who you people are. |
