Do we really need this overhaul and too many influx of players?

Me think we only need to spend for a CM and a winger. We have a good LB and a good CF out on loan.

Ninjas have been clamouring for Bamford's return. So having him around as an understudy to Costa and Remy isn't entirely a bad idea.

Drogba wasn't spectacular this season to start with, so having the Championship's best player replacing him is a good call.

Whats up with PVA? The last time I saw a Vitesse game, the lad was blazing.

And for the CM, I think Koke is all we need. Shweinsteiger has got his blissful career winding down, age aint on his side anymore and he is prone to injuries.

I can only saction a transfer if he would be coming for cheap.
Which left back do we have on loan? Oga thís is 2015 oh, PVA has been sold to Sunderland last summer. Besides the defensive side of his game is too shaky for Chelsea.

We need more than one midfielder abeg. If Matic is injured, is it back to Mikel? Or you expect Koke and Fab4 to play pivot with no specialist DM? No doubt to crack Europe next season we need two. One possession king (Koke, Schweini, Clasie) and one DM (Clasie, Witsel or any cheap sub like Gabi).

BTW, Schweini is only 30. He's being touted at £10m because he has one year left on contract and is rumoured to fancy a new country. One injury hit season does not spell the end of his career. Makelele came to us at 30 and Ballack was not far off. 30-33 should be the peak of his career.

And of course, I'm assuming we sell Mikel-Ramires and Oscar!

Mehn, thís summer go hot. I'm expecting strong transfer business.

The type of signings in midfield that would help us compete in Europe.

I've got 4 niggas on my mind - Schweinsteiger (yes, hes available), Koke, Jordie Clasie or Witsel. Plus one substitute specialist DM.

One winger to banish thoughts of Cuadrado aka SWP - Happy with Niko Gaitan or Sterling.

One cheapish substitute striker with a reliable injury record to take over from sicknote Remy - happy with Berahino so long as his character checks out (heard a few funny stories). I would take Danny Ings but he wants first team footie.

Apart from that the team is by and large set although if Varane is available, I'll take him. Also Fabian Schars contract is expiring. I'll take him if possible.

Any decent cheap leftback (can't think of one), otherwise it's no biggie.

Many of the world's greatest defenders didn't play in an era where each team had two quick wingers. Where dominating possession led to titles and required defenders to push up and support the midfield

Never you mistake me for one of them Youtube analysts here chatting megedefegede about Lotthar Matthaus. What do you know about Bayern and how long I've been following German football?

What position was Matthaus playing then at 38 and tell me if that position is still in existence today's game. You talk as if football has not evolved from the days of Lothar

No wonder you were telling us Liverpool's squad last season was better than Chelsea's
I have told you to stop drinking Pep Guardiola juice. Overdose of sperm will give you tummy ache.

So only teams that play highline win titles?

Can you kindly give us Real centre-backs average position when they flogged your sorry àsses 5-0?

Neither could many of the worlds greatest defenders.

If playing a highline is the only requisite for being a great defender, then Taribo West and Uche Okechukwu should surely have a shout.

There is more to being a defender than having fast-twitch muscles, such as intelligence. Lothar Mathaus at 38 was driving Bayern to glory with no pace, but what do I know? You were supporting Arsenal then.

Blocks is for those parking the bus
And Interceptions is only for those playing highline. You can't intercept through-pass in a half-pressing system cos there is nothing to intercept.

Lets check these facts using CL
What facts? Don't be stewpid.

I have told dumb niggas on Nairaland to stop comparing tackles made per game. For one, the numbers are two small eg MrX made 0.7 tackles while Mr Y made 0.9? You no go school?

Secondly, only a player who is out of position resorts to tackles. Thirdly, defenders stats vary wildly depending on their style of play. You have aggressive defenders like Costacurta/Carvalho/Koscielny who tackle a lot, then you have the sweeper-types like Baresi/Terry/Adams who make less tackles. For example you can see that Boateng makes more tackles but Terry makes more blocks. Some prefer to intercept than engage. Not all fingers are equal.

And don't forget, the most important attribute in a defender is his organisational skill and communication, something in which Terry is head and shoulders above Boateng. As I said before, every centre-back partnership has a House nigga and a Field nigga. The field nigga runs and engages, whilst the House nigga directs and organises. The house nigga is usually better than the field nigga.

Such childish talk
You're a sore cünt. Your nyash is scratching you to get one over Ibime.

No wonder you dey quote me on what has nothing to do with you. If I discuss Fabregas, Oscar vs Sterling or Mikel and Ramires with you, that's between me and you. I close the argument when it's finished.

What a sore cünt would do is go find a conversation between me and someone else in 2013 and start quoting me falsely. In 2013, someone telling me Hazard has contributed more than Nani has nothing to do with you. Hazard had a lot to learn in 2013 while Nani had been the chief instigator of his sides 2010 title win. Now is 2015, I'm glad Hazard has improved to that level of being a mover and shaker.

Now what does me saying Xavi is better than Iniesta have to do with you? I'm not here to discuss rugby with you. If you think Iniesta is better than Xavi, lets end thís conversation right now. . . . I can't help you with that.

Still go back to 100 years and you would see for real that we've been more relevant in Elite Europe than Burnthisleaguedown.

Sample periods are used to lay down FACTS! And the one FACT I have for you is that in the last 10 years the EPL has produced more Champions League and Europa League winners than the Burnthisleaguedown.

Which league is really being hyped about niccur.

Well, that shouldn't be a problem given that we've been able to produce an Europa League winner and a Champions League semi-finalist within that time frame.

This is a myopic assertion to make.

We hardly possessed the ball in most of the games we played in 2012 yet we won the Champions League, so what are you saying niccur?

What has holding onto the ball for the most period of the game got to do with building a team that would challenge?

Calm down niccur, how consistent has this ''penny-wise pound foolish'' transfers been?

Spurs even ended in net profit that very summer, so what's your point?

Chelsea have been playing the transfer market like a violin, maximizing the value of spare parts and selling luminaries like Luiz et al for staggering sums.

City only had to spend like drunken sailors over the years in order to have the framework of a top side. As a more established side, the spending has tapered.

Need I spread the gospel of Mr Wenger?

We know the market mate.

The International stage should be a problem for the national team not for the league.

How can you see their impacts when you're merely viewing with a Burnthisleaguedown tinted shade?

Out of all the goals scored in the PL over the past 3 seasons, foreign imports have contributed 68% of them.

Part of our broadcasting attractiveness is full stadiums, best managers and best players - most who happens to be foreign players.

Now you understand why Sky and BT Sports had to agree to pay us a record-staggering £5billion - the world second most lucrative sports league, behind just the NFL.

This says nada mate.

Uncontrollable factors such as fortune, timing and a supporting cast play a pivotal role in WC success.

Di Stefano never got a chance at the WC title, but would be remembered as a better striker than Torres who won the WC.

Best, Giggs, Weah, Schuster, Cantona are greats who didn't even play at the WC.

Platini, Zico, Cruyff etc never won it but are still regarded as greats. They contributed massively to the game and are global icons.

What could be more nauseating than seeing Goetze and Beckham in the same sentence? Or even Boateng and Terry being compared?

Boateng at 26 and can't imagine of sailing home Terry's achievements.

A player who was named UEFA Club defender of the year in 05, 06 and 09, made FifPro World XI for 5 consecutive seasons and was also named in the all-star squad for the 2006 FIFA WC.

Boateng would be cursing you for ever comparing him with the great John Terry!
No need for all these. EPL is more competitive than Bundesliga and I proved it.

I showed 9 times in the last 2 seasons where Bundesliga teams were trashed by 4,5,6 and 7 goals.

Dayo had to go back 13 years all the way to 2002 just to find only 4 occasions where EPL teams were trashed.

That's the only empirical evidence one needs. . . . .although I lost my moniker in the process by becoming too cocky. cheesy cheesy cheesy

PoliticsRe: Lets Analyze This Trekking Guy's Journey From Lagos To Abuja...!!! by Bundesligabest: 1:15pm On Apr 21, 2015
CharlesPhc:
On an ideal situation (Road Conditions, Diversions, Weather Conditions, Traffic, etc. affect driving distance), a driving journey from Lagos to Abuja by road (Lagos --> Abuja) is approximately 587 Minutes - 9 hour(s) 47 minutes(s). That means it would take a car in good working condition just approximately 10 hours from Lagos to Abuja by the route on the Map below.

Having said that, what time would it take an average person to walk the same distance? How many hours would he have to walk each day? And in how many days would he complete his journey?

Let's assume Buhari was officially declared winner of the election on the 30th of March 2015 and our trekking guy started his journey on the 2nd of April 2015....!!! If by 20th of April 2015 Hamisu Abubakar arrived the FCT on foot, it is also confortable to conclude that it took him 18days to walk from Lagos to Abuja on foot. 24 Hours in a day by 18days would be 432 Hours.... How many hours did he walk each day to complete his task in 18 days considering the fact that from Lagos to Abuja is approximately 736.6km? Still loading.........

.
You just failed the exam. Your post is an example of the degredation in our education system.

This is JSS2 mathematics. Simple logic and proportional reasoning, you no fit apply.

Average walking pace is 5km/hr

Abuja to Lagos is 747 km

Therefore it would take him only 747/5 = 149hrs

In 18 days, he only needs to walk for 149/18 = 8.3 hrs a day to reach his target.

Infact, he spent too long drinking stout and peppersoup with the Chiefs who hosted him on the way. A typical oyinbo hiker would walk 15hrs per day and complete this journey in just 10 days.
